Complaint: My son sold me his car on XX/XX/XXXX. His loan on the car was through GM Financial. I got a new loan on the car through my personal credit union. In Michigan, I need a clear title without the lean on the title to register the car in my name. Today XX/XX/XXXX, we have still not recieved the clear title. The check was cleared XX/XX/XXXX. I dont understand why I cant have the proper documentation I need to register my new car. I have been staring at it in my driveway for almost a month unable to drive it because it can't be registered to me until I get this paper clearing the lean on the car. GM financial wont send me or my son any documentation for me to get this car able.to register to me until XX/XX/XXXX. Then they told me I needed to wait up to 15 days for it to come by mail. This is absolutley ridiculous. How we he have been able to send this to anyone? The service with GM Financial has been horrible. I have been hung up on several times just trying to find a way to be able to drive this car and have my freedom of driving.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2015 I signed a lease on a XXXX XXXX XXXX. When talking to the finance manager I understood that my total price with all fees and included would be {$58000.00} in total. I also understood that I would be putting {$20000.00} which would include {$20000.00} down {$600.00} taxes and {$290.00} first payment. I also understood I would make 48 payments of {$290.00} that would total {$13000.00} which included {$7600.00} in that total for depreciation. So added with my {$20000.00} plus {$13000.00} my total I would have in this vehicle would be {$35000.00}. When I asked the fianc person how much I would have left at the end of my lease the finance person told me about {$25000.00} dollars. My total in was {$35000.00} you subtract that from {$58000.00} dollars you are left with {$23000.00}. So Im thinking this is great I can pay cash for the car at the end of my lease. Now Im at the end of my lease I found out from gm financial P.O. XXXX XXXX XXXX, Tx XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX that my payoff is {$31000.00} and the finance guy obviously lied to me. This total which would be {$35000.00} that I have already paid plus the {$31000.00} they want me to pay would make the vehicle {$66000.00}. This total is know where in the contract? I was furious when I found out I started emailing XXXX XXXX the Ceo of gm XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MI XXXX tel:XXXX. I got a response from gm financial they were no help. Then I got a phone call from XXXX XXXX XXXX Executive Resolution Liaison Phone : XXXX extension XXXX. They were no help standing by the company even if there wrong. They also put me in contact with XXXX financial director from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, NC XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX. He was the same way not willing to look at the mistakes that have been made. In my contract I just learn the money factor should of been listed how they got the residual value it wasnt told to me and isnt listed on the contract. I have tier 1 credit and was told my residual value shouldnt be this high. Also on XX/XX/2015 I was sent a notice my contract wasnt right and no need to do another contract. In my contract listed on line 20 it plainly states that any changes a signature by me an the dealership must be in writing. Which they didnt do.

Complaint: I leased a new ( XX/XX/XXXX ) XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. At the time of the lease contract, I purchased an extended maintenance plan for 36 mos/36,000 miles at a cost of {$490.00}. I had been bringing my car to the same dealership for all maintenance ( which was, essentially, just standard items like oil changes and tire rotation ) for the past two years, without issue. I was informed in XX/XX/XXXX that the original dealership was no longer an authorized GMC dealer and that they had closed permanently ( no explanation why ) and that I should move my account to the next closest dealer. When I went for my regularly scheduled maintenance visit, I learned that the new GMC dealer I'd been assigned ( XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, CA ) has no record of this maintenance agreement, despite my showing them a copy of the lease contract where it clearly states I'd paid for it and how many months/miles it covered. The contract says the maintenance agreement was with XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX also happens to be the name of the financial institution that holds my lease - but they also offer extended warranties and maintenance plans ). I reached out to XXXX, and they have NO RECORD of my having a maintenance plan. Which leads me to believe the most likely scenario that the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX dealer pocketed my {$490.00} and never actually bought me the maintenance contract. This fraud may have something to do with why the dealership closed, I have no idea. But I know that I want to get what I paid for, or get my $ refunded since I should have until XX/XX/XXXX or XXXX miles, whichever comes first.

Complaint: To whom it may concern : On XX/XX/XXXX, I took my leased XXXX XXXX in to XXXX XXXX for service on my brakes because they had become stiff and I almost crashed the vehicle. During this time the Service Rep XXXX XXXX explained that I would have to leave the vehicle. I requested to know if the mechanic working on the vehicle had any idea what was wrong with the vehicle since he had already heard the key complaints. According to Mr. XXXX, XXXX had received a bulletin from General Motors that there had been many cars coming back with serious brake master cylinder issues. Puzzled by his explanation I proceeded to ask Mr. XXXX could he elaborate. To which he said it has to do with the hose and the vacuum pipe. I then asked but if it is the hose and its a leak wouldn't brake fluid and a replacement hose fix the issue?? Mr. XXXX responded with a chuckle " No, its a lot more complicated than that ''. I then proceeded to take the chuckle as I'm a girl so I would not understand mechanic or vehicle repair jargon. Following this response from him I asked for Mr.XXXX to write down the issues so that I can do some further research at home. Upon arriving home I XXXX the term " XXXX Brake Master Cylinder Issues '' and immediately on the first page and site was " XXXX CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OVER BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER ISSUES '' I proceeded to read the article and jot down the name of the attorney handling the case. It turns out a couple with the same issues as I brought their XXXX XXXX in to the shop for service for the brakes that were stiffening. Soon after the dealership told them they fixed it. The couple believing it was fixed drove the car got into an accident and nearly got killed. This couple then commenced a Class Action to which inadvertently I guess I will be a part of or not ... Not sure if I am. In any event getting back to my vehicle I called the following day for a status and to explained to Mr. XXXX that I had uncovered something I had not been made privy to. You see approximately several months before I had my brakes worked on by XXXX XXXX and no one let me know that they existed an issue with the brakes. At the very least if this bulletin has been out since XXXX when I leased my car and it is XXXX couldn't anyone notify us that there exist a SERIOUS ISSUE that can kill my entire family??? No instead I nearly get killed, the elderly couple who commenced the action almost get killed and scores of other helpless individuals that own or lease XXXX Vehicles Including the Nations Entire Police Force are forced to play Russian Roulette with our lives in faulty vehicles and XXXX and General Motors CEO XXXX XXXX XXXX are reluctant to make this apriority and issue recalls on ALL XXXX XXXX, XXXX, AND XXXX TRUCKS!!! There are numerous complaints lodged with the National Highway Safety And Transportation Board and yet nothing has been done to remedy this serious issue. What's more is that if your out of warranty they will not fix it either!!!! I have contacted the General Motors Corporate Division to no avail. No help or assistance was provided. To add insult to injury XXXX XXXX the dealership my vehicle was at after learning I knew forced me to bring back the loaner and take my XXXX XXXX XXXX if I was NOT willing to pay for repairs!!!! When I explained that my husband was not home and I had my kids with me but did NOT want to risk putting in this vehicle they did not care. Not only were they callous but I was forced to go and get the vehicle with my infant daughters and son. When I yelled at the Service Manager out of anger for making take that risk they apparently called General Motors and requested that I service my vehicles elsewhere! A day or two after a rep from General Motors called and I was told never come back to the XXXX XXXX for service because Mr. XXXX had called to complain about me. Now mind you I leased my XXXX XXXX from them. I am outraged at the service from the XXXX XXXX and General Motors and at this point want them to let me out of this vehicle that I continue paying {$730.00} on and CAN NOT USE! its a lemon and will never perform satisfactory or safely. I will not feel comfortable letting anyone in my vehicle let alone drive it myself. Further research showed the XXXX XXXX XXXX and numerous other XXXX models have Brakes Master Cylinder Issues, Vibration at Hwy Speeds, Lack of Air Bag Deployment, Air Conditioning Issues and other problems with Front Drivers Side Knocking Noises! Complaint: Context : We have XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), a very happy customer of the car. Two days back, our tire got flat. My wife was driving the car with my XXXX kids ( XXXX year old ). Luckily the incident happened 1 mile from home, in the XXXX XXXX area. I was able to reach there after office and got roadside assistance through my insurance along the way. It turns our after waiting for roadside assistance : we do not have a spare wheel, we also do not have the kit to fix flat tire. After calling XXXX customer service : i was confirmed that there should be a flat tire kit atleast. Fast Forward, next day we towed the car to nearby XXXX XXXX, XXXX dealership. The dealership was very nice and took over the Flat Tire case. They fixed the car the next day XXXX. We also found out in the process that one more tire was bad. After 1.5 years and <8K miles on the road : the car has gotten into wear and tear. My wife did not hit any pothole/nails during her <1 mile drive from home. In the process of parking the car at a safer place the the tire got little more damaged. Note : The last we had filled air was 11 months back when we did our 1st year service at the same XXXX XXXX. I am suspecting the diagnostics on the car did not reveal low tire pressure. The dealership also confirmed the air pressure was low. Claim : XXXX should cover the wear and tear of the Tire and pay for the Fees charged by XXXX service since its a brand new car ( leased from them ).

Complaint: i have never been late on any accounts. i have set up auto pay since the beginning of the lease. Gm financial was completely not reporting the month of XX/XX/XXXX, marked XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, as late payments. in the month of XX/XX/XXXX, they updated there report showing XX/XX/XXXX as completely not reporting. and they changed the months late to XXXX, XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX as late. this doesn't make sense. i have bank statement showing they pull and always have on the XXXX of every month. i want this account to show paid as agreed on all the months or completely removed from my credit file. the erroneous reporting of inaccurate information has impacting my loan abilities, my mortgage and car insurance.

Complaint: I paid for a repossession fee back in XX/XX/2018. The amount was {$750.00}. Immediately after, I was billed for a 2nd repossession fee in the same amount of {$750.00}. This has been on my credit report for 18 months now. I have reached out multiple times to the company to resolve the issue. They have already admitted fault, but still refuse to remove the additional fee. They tell me to call another department who was unable to remove it from my account. The latest communication was XX/XX/XXXX where they said they would adjust {$700.00} off my account, which means they are keeping an extra {$48.00} for no reason. I am unable to trade in the car or pay off the loan without paying that {$750.00} fee. I am stuck with the car, which I have been planning on trading in for months. I have filed multiple complaints with their customer service department since last XX/XX/XXXX, and nothing has been done. My credit is being affected as well as the freedom to do what I want with the car.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX, of full age, certifies and says: 1. I am the FORMER co-signer in the within matter. As such, I am fully familiar with the matter herein to make within the complaint department in support of the individual’s request to enter a formal complaint through The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau against GM Financial, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX (XXXX) XXXX and XXXX. 2. On or aroundXX/XX/2019 through XX/XX/2019I had received an email notification through XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX and XXXX that the account for a XXXX XXXX was CLOSED. (account number XXXX where XXXX XXXX (XXXX) XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NJ XXXX, was the primary and I was the co-signer)3. This said account was reported as CLOSED removed from my credit score as stating that it was paid off in full and that there was a $0 balance. 4. Following the aforesaid, another email was sent stating that the account was finalized onXX/XX/2019. This information was also confirmed with a GM customer service rep. 5. Without my knowledge or any paperwork from GM financial, the account was reopened stating that there was a $XXXX balance and is showing up as a “car loan” on my XXXX XXXX credit score only, thus dropping my score 8 points stating that it was a missed payment. My information was reused and submitted by XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX. NJ and GM financial without my consent and the loan was reopened on or aroundXX/XX/2019 now saying, “payment pending”. 6. On or around XX/XX/2019, I had called GM Financial and spoke to a customer service rep named XXXX, who proceeded to tell me that what happened was “none of my business and that there was a balance on the old loan.” 7. Following the aforesaid, I asked how XXXX XXXX was allowed to terminate the lease early without my knowledge and drive off of the dealership lot with a new car without having paid this said balance of $XXXX for two months or negotiating it into the cost of her new loan, but to no avail.8. In furtherance of the above, it is quite obvious that XXXX XXXX made some kind of “deal” in order to obtain and lease or refinance a vehicle, again without my knowledge. 9. As such, on or around XX/XX/2019 I contacted XXXX XXXX where she clearly said that it was for over mileage and nothing more. 10. Thereafter, I was told by XXXX, the GM customer service rep, that the car was already sold at auction but they got less than the asking price, so that balance of $XXXX must be paid.11. In furtherance of the above, I had told XXXX that I knew nothing about this, but he went straight to making a threat about my responsibility for paying this said balance in full or I would be put into collections and any missed payments would show on my credit report.12. Moreover, I continued to ask who is going into collections , why I was NEVER notified of any of these dealings and why I have not received a single document about the termination of the loan or how I am responsible for this balance owed, again to no avail. 13. In furtherance of the above, I was told that I don’t have any right to know anything, but I am being threatened with collections and now this balance has reappeared on my XXXX XXXX credit statement as a “car loan” after it had been officially CLOSED on XX/XX/2019. 14. On or around XX/XX/2019, I filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Agency letting them know that the loan was closed, removed from my credit reports, then re-opened using my personal information without my knowledge, without my consent and mostly without any written documentation.15. Moreover, I filed a dispute with XXXX who is claiming that the account is closed, but it is still showing up on my credit report. 16. Moreover, GM Financial and their authorized dealership worked out a deal with XXXX XXXX about the vehicle but made a mistake by misjudging what it would sell for at auction. 17. I asked that GM Financial send me this paperwork about the closed account and why it was re-opened, but to no avail. 18. I again filed a dispute with XXXX XXXX to have this balance removed from my credit report, but to no avail as it is still showing up on my credit report.19. GM financial has a habit of refusing to notify people of any type of changes to their accounts for months or not at all, but expects full responsibility for payments in full and will resort to threats or extortion of funds and claims that they are “unaware” of anything. 20. I have suffered significant XXXX, XXXX strain and a major hit to my credit score as a result of the mentioned parties aforesaid actions. 21. The mentioned party will make an attempt to strong-arm me for payment instead, put me in collections or put a missed payment on my credit report as a sick, twisted way to manipulate me. 22. I attempted to contact all mentioned parties to inform me or help my settle this issue, but to my detriment I have been significantly harmed as a result of same. 23. GM financial responded to my original complaint to CFPB but completely avoided the issue at hand and simply regurgitated information from the XXXX lease, thus never answering as to how closing and account, removing it from my credit statement, then putting it back as they see fit , claiming to have no knowledge of what’s going on.24. As such and as a result of the above, I want the GM financial account removed completely from all of my credit reports effective immediately. Thus I am seeking to file a complaint against all parties for lack of performance in handling this matter to which they are liable and for threatening collections or a financial lien against me, as this situation was completely out of my control and negotiations were made without my knowledge or consent.24. GM Financial and their authorized dealerships should be fined for fraudulently reusing my information without my consent to re-open an account that was already closed and removed from my credit history. 25. In furtherance of the above, GM financial is making it seem as if I am the only person on the loan, as only my information is showing up on the bill for payment. I certify that the foregoing statements made by me are true. I am aware that if any of the foregoing statements made by me are willfully false, I am subject to punishment. GM Financial removed the monthly payment amount from the report which was {$580.00}. Reporting a balance of {$27000.00} original balance of {$28000.00}. They are reporting payments both on-time and ( late ) from XXXX to XXXX of XXXX which is also wrong but with monthly payments of {$580.00} how could the balance be {$27000.00}. No one at GM financial or XXXX seems to be able to solve this math problem for me.

Till this day they have not corrected any information on my credit report. I will be filing a lawsuit in my county for them reporting false information on my report. This has caused me financial difficulty and has cost me time and money to dispute this error. Please remove this inquiry within 10 days of this notice. i also have enclosed one of the three letters i received saying that they would remove this inquiry.
