Complaint: I have been disputing several charges from XXXX that were charged to my Discover card starting in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. The charges are as follows : {$920.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$910.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$710.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$500.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$710.00} XX/XX/XXXX These charges I have been disputing since XX/XX/XXXX and again in XX/XX/XXXX and both time Discover has sided with Hotels.com. I then turned my attention directly with Hotels.com and received several emails from them saying they tried to refund my card but the hotel didn't authorize and then they also stated that I should take that issue up with my credit card company as they can't do anything further for me. The documents that XXXX submitted to Discover were print outs of the reservations one with a ales name that I am not associated with and the documents didn't have my signature. They also submitted a copy of my XXXX picture with documents to state that it was valid. It is not and I am sick and tired of this. I love my Discover card but this is wrong on many levels. I feel robbed. I am attaching the emails and also copies of charges that hotels.com made to another credit card without my authorization. I have had my personal information stolen previous to this and now I can't get this corrected. I shouldn't have to pay for anything that I didn't authorize. I have attached all my supporting documents.

Complaint: discover card : sent bill made the payments, discover card : months down the road prints wrong address on bill, still made automatic, payments discover card : raises interest rate bill payments goes up, all notification letters go to wrong address, automatic payments still continuing.
discover card : fees go wild unknown to me. they call after months.
discover card : corrects address suppose to clear up fees.
Discover card every month clears up fees if I call, five months go by and continuation of late fees go on.
Discover card now says nothing more they can do I have to pay them all the extra fees which added up five months worth.

Complaint: Good Morning. Last week I took advantage of requesting a copy of my free annual credit report. Everything was in order except the inquiry section. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, DE XXXX inquired in my credit 82 times between the dates of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I do not have an account with Discover. I tried to contact them by phone on XX/XX/XXXX, and because I do not have an account, the representative could not " help '' me find answers, and they referred me to a credit reporting agency. I tried to call XXXX, but none of the phone prompts would bring me to someone I could speak to. This week I received another mailing from Discover, and because of what I have learned about their inquiry methods, I opened the offer of credit and logged onto a site they referred to in their mailing called XXXX. I am furious that Discover " hit '' my credit report this often and most likely affected my credit score and thus increased interest rates I am paying on legitimate trade lines I have applied for and use.

Then XXXX just recently put the charge of {$3600.00} back on my card. Now this is where I will provide new information regarding this XXXX company. On XX/XX/XXXX I recieved a e-mail from the United States FTC with a link : https : //www.ftc.gov/XXXX That explains that this XXXX company by federal court order was shut down and the assets of its 4 owners frozen for a wide range of fraudulent business practices. These are the same kind of practices that I fell victum to. I sent a rebutal to the denial of my dispute for the {$3600.00} charged back to my discover card but Discover did nothing to help me ... they sided with the XXXX company. I am dismayed at how in the new light that the FTC has shut down this XXXX business and frozen their assets of more than XXXX XXXX dollars, that Discover would not realize that I was caught up in this sophisticated scam. I furthermore believe that XXXX 's credability is in question and that just becuase they sent contracts to discover that anything that XXXX provides should be deemed null and void. My life has been ruined by this scam. The mentor I had was initially very supportive to help me with this business but after his assistant charged up over {$80000.00} to my credit cards he just stopped helping me. The company never answered my complaints becuase they never answered their phone when I called. I have not slept in months and my health has suffered becuase of this and I expected the Discover card to protect me. The XXXX company is shut down they bilked millions from hard working people like me. Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I sent XXXX XXXX a certified letter asking to validate an account showing on my credit report. On XX/XX/XXXX the letter was received and signed, and after 30 days I did not receive a response violating federal and state laws. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent Discover a follow up letter and it was received and signed for on XX/XX/XXXX in which I did receive a response. In the response Discover failed to provide to me a copy of any viable evidence, bearing my signature, showing the account is being reported accurately. Not only did Discover not respond in a timely manner they also failed to place a " notice of dispute '' disclosure on my credit reports. Discover has violated Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( including but not limited to Section 807-8 ) and Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( including but not limited to Section 623-b ).

Complaint: Found out recently that Discover Card has been charging me for payment Protection Services of which I have no recollection of authorizing. Came to my attention particularly since this year XX/XX/XXXX since apparently I have previously not kept a balance.
I called in to dispute the charges and was able to successfully cancel this recurring charge and get them to back out the last charge for XX/XX/XXXX, but they refused to remove any previous charges. Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: On XX/XX/18, my car window was smashed and my entire purse was stolen. My wallet with all my money, credit cards, ID and checks. While at the scene with the Deputy who was writing the report, my DISCOVER card was used at a gas station ( I had received an alert on my phone ). At that exact moment, I told the deputy AND I called DISCOVER to report the fraud/crime. I explained to DISCOVER what had happened, I explained I was at the scene of the crime and that during that time, my card was used at a gas station for about {$44.00} worth of gas. The rep at DISCOVER seemed very apologetic and right away they closed the account and reported the fraud. I gave the rep the POLICE case number, the POLICE phone number AND the POLICE Detective 's name. The rep assured me that I would be protected and NOT be responsible for the FRAUDULENT charge. Fast forward 30 days, DISCOVER continuously failed to return the calls of the DETECTIVE working on my case. The DETECTIVE was able to track the FRAUDULENT purchase along with a video of the perpetrators.However, DISCOVER refuses to return the calls of the DETECTIVE and investigate the fraudulent charge. I mailed DISCOVER a copy of the police report as well. As of today, XX/XX/18, DISCOVER refuses to acknowledge the FRAUD, investigate the case and denied my claim stating that I am responsible for the charge. After all that was/is provided to DISCOVER, and the DETECTIVE 's calls and report, they have IGNORED it all. DISCOVER has refused to follow through on all of the information and investigate this matter properly. Yet, DISCOVER " claims '' to protects its customers/clients. I need DISCOVER to honor the FRAUDULENT charge, reach out to the DETECTIVE on this case and properly remove this charge and clear my name/credit.
