Complaint: I continue to receive calls from a 'debt collection agency ' using the number XXXX. They claim that I have an outstanding debt and they are charged with collecting it. This is simply not true. I have refused to answer the phone and have taken steps to block the call and do have my number registered on www.donotcall.gov. I have gone online and have learned that others have similar complaints. I would like for the FTC to investigate this company for consumer fraud since others may fall victim to this scheme and so that they will stop harassing me.

Complaint: CREDENCE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, LLC with Phone # XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX, is continuously trying to collect a debt from me that is for a person with the same name as I. We have gone through the process with them of verifying that I did not ever live at the address in question and last XXXX digits of my Social Security Number do not match but they continue to repeatedly call. I have checked my XXXX credit report and no debts show up in collections. As of today they have somehow got hold of my company cell phone number and have called me on again about this debt. Each time they initiate this procedure they act like it is their first attempt to collect this debt. This is not the first time this has happened, I am assuming this company purchased this old debt form another debt collection agency. I had written the prior agency to inform them the debt is not mine and to end all contact. I am assuming this will continuously happen again if I do not report this to the proper agency because this has been going on for over 3 years.

Complaint: I 'm not sure what the call was regarding. I received a call from Credence Resource Management this morning. The caller did n't identify the company she was calling from and when she began to ask identifying information ( asking me to confirm my address ) I asked what company she was calling from. She then identified the company. She said they have an account in my name and that she was calling to give me that information. I told her I 'd never heard of Credence Resource Management. She repeated I have an account with them and that she was calling to give me that information. I asked how I could have an account with a company I 've never heard of. There was a pause and then, sounding exasperated, she said goodbye and hung up. It was only when I did a XXXX search I 've discovered it is, apparently, a collection agency. I have no idea what they could be trying to collect on, I filed bankruptcy last year and it was discharged in XXXX. The caller was not being clear at all about the purpose of the call so it sounded like a scam. I 've selected the " Debt was discharged in bankruptcy '' option since I have a discharged bankruptcy, but I moved just over two months ago and while packing my desk stumbled across a small medical bill that had fallen behind a drawer. It was over a year old and was n't included in my bankruptcy since I had no idea it was still pending so I immediately paid it. So it could be that the issue is " Debt was paid ''. But those are the only options. I do n't have any debt now, and I 'm doing my best to keep it that way.
