Complaint: I've sent multiple letters to this agency about this not being my account. After being advised by identitytheft.gov, I've completed and sent a fraud affidavit via certified mail. I can see they received it, but nothing has changed. See supporting documents. Even the USPS tracking. My official complaint is against CREDENCE RESOURCE MGMT. My information was used to obtain an apartment, cell phone, and an auto loan with my ex-partner. I am a victim of identity theft and have put this off for too long. I've completed the proper steps, 1. notify creditors 2. police report 3. informed the state of Texas.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, I was notified by XXXX that a new collection was added to my credit profile by Credence Resource Management. I had no prior knowledge of this company nor had they made any attempt to contact me via phone and or mail prior to reporting this debt to XXXX. As a result of this fraudulent collection being placed on my credit profile, my credit score was decreased by over 15 points. After being made aware of this unfortunate circumstance, I placed a call to the company to inquire about the debt and why no prior contact had been made. I requested that verifiable documents proving that I am indeed the owner of this debt be sent to me immediately and requested if that was not possible for the debt to be removed. I also followed up my conversation with a letter stating what was discussed during the phone call, which was mailed to the company on XX/XX/2018. On XX/XX/2018, I received a letter from Credence offering a 50 % reduction from the original balance they reported to my credit profile. This letter was sent without any validation of debt, which I request and which is illegal. I'am requested assistance with having this debt removed from my credit profile with XXXX and all other credit bureaus.

Complaint: Been receiving calls for about 2 weeks from someone from XXXX XXXX XXXX. On the first call I told them that I have no debt with XXXX XXXX XXXX and that I never received collection letters from them. The person was insistent asking for a payment method while I was talking. He started to ask so fast that a I couldn't understand him, so I asked for someone who's speaks XXXX, but the person didn't let me talk. He only asked for the payment method and insisted that I had to pay the debt. I told him that a owe no money to XXXX XXXX XXXX and requested evidence of the debt. I received calls on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and today XX/XX/XXXX. Sometimes up to 3 calls a dya.

Complaint: Approximately 2.5 years ago, as I was getting out of a car, I accidentally dropped my cellular telephone ; the ( protected ) screen struck a concrete curb at a 45 degree angle, permanently destroying the telephone. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX to cancel my account with them. It should be noted I was not under any contractual obligations at this point, either ; I had ( what is known as ) " month to month '' billing. I was living in New Jersey at the time. My billing cycle was from the XXXX of the month to the last day of the month. When I called, it was several days prior to the end of the billing cycle. The representative tried vehemently to bargain with me not to cancel the account ; however, as I was resolute about this, I ( verbally ; again ) refused. ** It should be noted after this point, the representative became significantly less cooperative ( almost hostile ). I asked her what was the final amount due. She said she needed my 4 digit pin, part of a 3 step online login process they had at the time to look at my account, since this was how I ( and most people ) typically paid my monthly invoice ( online ). Unfortunately, I could NOT remember the 4 digit pin, and she told me she was not allowed to login without my pin ( this is part of the hostility ). I asked her again to PLEASE give me the amount due ( IF there was any ). Again she refused. I could not get any help via customer service, or online and since I did not receive a paper bill ( XXXX XXXX XXXX charged several dollars extra ) each month to do so, which has become typical these days. Therefore, to the best of my knowledge I was current with my account. After this frustrating telephone call, attempting to cancel my account, several days later I received an invoice, which was at least twice the amount I typically paid. I was being treated incredibly bad, especially when you consider my parents and I had been customers of XXXX XXXX XXXX continuously for over 60 years. It was as if I had never called the XXXX XXXX XXXX representative. In summary : She ( A ) did she not cancel the account, plus ( B ) billed me for another month, even though she knew my cellphone was broken and I could not use it ; ( C ) she knowingly did not attempt to help ; ( D ) She sent me an invoice for double the usual amount, and ( E ) XXXX XXXX XXXX turned this over to a collection agency, which is damaging my credit report. I had done everything I knew how to do to cancel the account, and all this occurred. Whatever happened to good faith? Now, I have a collection agency, calling me at XXXX XXXX in the morning, and they are trying to illegally bargain with me the amount ( they claim ). Even if I did owe any amount, they are aware the procedure is to send me a bill offering a potentially reduced amount in writing. All this is incredibly frustrating. If anything is due, it is XXXX XXXX XXXX that owes me, for being a long time ( over 60 years ) and loyal customer ; plus I spent hours and hours of my valuable time trying to do the right thing. Worst of all, XXXX XXXX XXXX is treating me as if I am an deadbeat client, ruining my credit while doing so. Shame on XXXX XXXX XXXX.

CRM is refusing to release information unless I release PII to an unidentified resource. All accounts are current and there are ZERO late/missed or defaulted payments on my credit. Complaint: It shows on my credit report that Credence Resource Management reported to XXXX XXXX that I owe them an amount of {$1400.00} on an XXXX XXXX XXXX bill collection on XX/XX/2018.However, I have never received any type of written correspondence from them any time after the date the debt is reported. Which goes to say they have not provided me with any type of validation of this debt. The debt also continues to show on my credit report and I am aware they can not legally report a debt that has not been validated on my credit report and that it has to be taken off until validated. I have reason to believe as well that this is a possible scam.I currently have a dispute in process concerning the debt with XXXX. I believe as well the account has in fact crossed SOL for the state and type of debt. I've already tried sending them a debt validation letter and have not received a reply. I do not want to pay for a debt that is not mine and/or end up paying a fake collection agency.

Complaint: I have owed XXXX XXXX XXXX for over 4 years a bill that was just recently bought by a different collection agency, Credence Resource Management XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX. They are now reporting this as a brand new debt and not reporting the age of the debt. They did the same thing last month with a XXXX XXXX collection account that we ended up paying XXXX XXXX. This is a completely unethical practice. They should be reporting the debt from when it occurred, not as brand new debt. The effect this has had on my credit has been huge. For the second time in two months our house closing has been denied just because of this company. This company has brought down my credit score over 50 points each month when the mortgage loan company goes to check to begin closing processes. We have now lost the house. When we called regarding the XXXX XXXX bill, they at no time indicated they had another account for XXXX XXXX XXXX. They are rude, can't speak in a manner that you can understand, and are not helpful at all. They still haven't reported that XXXX XXXX has been paid in full even though they confirmed payment with XXXX XXXX while I was on the phone. Reading the reviews and on-line information, they should be forced to correct their reprehensible collection and reporting practices. We want this company to be truthful and report correctly. They are negatively affecting peoples lives.
