Complaint: I purchased XXXX XXXX total of XXXX dollars purchased from coinbase when XXXX was at XXXX dollars on Saturday got the purchase successful message and was expecting the coins to be deposited as was shown on successful message. Coins never showed up in wallet or account. Now going value for XXXX is XXXX dollars and I am missing the XXXX coins I purchased and the profits from the growth in value. I am very unhappy that there are no people to talk to at coinbase and they have yet to deposit the XXXX XXXX I purchased as well as as the fact that I am losing profits from the investment I purchased on Saturday. The resolution I want is for them to deposit the XXXX XXXX I purchased immediatly.

Complaint: Hi, I 'm XXXX but i 'm a customer of a US-based company, so i contact you. I 'm a customer of Coinbase, a crypto-currencies wallet company. I sold BTCs the Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX off the blockchain ( direct trade between Coinbase and me ), the BTCs were instantly taken out from my BTC Wallet but Coinbase is tiding up my money since 3 days as they DID NOT added the amount to my EUR Wallet ( euros wallet ). The transaction is still pending while marked as " ARRIVES SATURDAY XX/XX/XXXX '' ( see screeenshots attached ). We 're the XX/XX/XXXX. As each transaction is, i think, not confirmed manually, it means Coinbase is retaining my money on purpose. This is a fraud. It is unacceptable for a US-based company and i 'm sure the authorities are doing their work fine. That 's why i 'm adding my complaint to, i think, plenty others. Thank you.

Complaint: Hi, Second complaint the same day against the same company : Coinbase Inc. Coinbase just closed the currency trade for Ethereum and Litecoin. It is UNACCEPTABLE asthe market is NOT closed and crypto-currencies have very large and fast variations. The buys and sells of those two crypto-currencies are now XXXX for an unknown reason, my money is LOCKED and ca n't be sold when i decide it that can result easily to a LOSS OF MONEY. To disable functions can be understood, but to disable to possibility to SELL is a major fault that can result to very bad consequences of money loss. Coinbase Inc seems to be managed by kids or irresponsible persons those days, jeopardizing the funds of its customers. This is unacceptable for an authorized crypto-currency company in the US. I hope and trust the CFPB will know how to resolve this. This is an unacceptable manipulation of the market. Tiding money is a fraud. Thank you.

Complaint: Coinbase.com After years of issue free service, I was told that my " buys are disabled '' and I need to verify my identification. After, identification was successfully verified. Then I was told that my " buys are disabled for unknown reasons ''. I contacted support and they quickly got back to me telling me that they 're looking into it. I created another account with different information and different bank accounts. I was quickly told that my " buys are disabled for unknown reasons ''. I 'm now locked out of my account and I can neither withdraw the money I have nor buy more. I contacted support again and it has been 1 month with no response.

Complaint: Coinbase has " blocked '' my account for some reason and wo n't let me withdraw my funds. I have {$85.00} in one of my accounts and have been trying to transfer it to my bank account for close to 3 weeks now XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Everytime I call them they either hangup in my face or do n't answer. Nothing has been done on their side to try to fix it even after being this patient.

Complaint: My Coinbase account got suspended from selling and buying XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. I believe the error is due to a Coinbase ID Verification error which causes a mismatch with the Coinbase account name with the name on a linked bank account. I have $ 1,500+ on Coinbase which I would like to sell, however I have been locked out of my funds and can not contact support in anyway. Phones are busy, and emails and DMs on Social Media are not being responded to. Other seem to be having the same problem.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I was supposed to receive a payment of approximately {$620.00} in my XXXX XXXX for selling bitcoin on coinbase. Coinbase.com has been unresponsive so far about the missing payment. They shut down their phone line and are no longer taking calls. In my account history it says the payments have been complete. However if have not received my owed money yet from them. They have been completely unresponsive so far. Complaint: I am a normal individual. Not wealthy, not poor. Simply normal. I saved up a large sum of money XXXX {$400.00} ) to invest in cryptocurrencies. Of course, I chose the most trustworthy service : Coinbase ... Or so it seemed. At first, my experience was a dream come true. I invested in bitcoin at {$10000.00} before a meteoric rise, bought a full Litecoin, and purchased about {$60.00} in Ethereum. However, troubles came when I tried to sell my coins as promised by the company. I filled out the ID verification as requested an submitted it. Somehow, though, my account was found to be " restricted '' within an hour. This means that I can not buy, sell, or trade with the account. I ca n't even withdraw the money I invested. I put my trust in this company and all they 've done is spite me. My assets are now worth {$600.00}, nearing {$650.00} by the hour. I 've opened tickets, sent messages on their XXXX, and DM'ed on XXXX, but they refuse to actually answer. I pray that you 'll answer my cries for help and resolve this issue. For those who are not accustomed to the malpractice associated with this " business : '' DO NOT INVEST HERE. THEY DO N'T CARE FOR THOSE WHO FUND THEM AND CERTAINLY ARE APATHETIC TO OUR PROBLEMS.

Complaint: Coinbase, the crypto currency wallet/exchange company, due to security reasons disabled my account and told me it would take 4 business days for them to verify the cause and give me an answer. Its been more than 8 business days and i still have n't heard back from them. Customer support stopped answering phone calls due to high volume of traffic. And when they did, about 3 days ago, they could access the account but werent able to give you any information. I spoke with at least 5 representatives and all they said was that i just needed to wait for someone to contact me by email. My funds are frozen and i cant access my account, I looked online to see if more people were having the same problem and found out there is thousands of complaints of people blocked out and accounts disabled for months. I currently have XXXX dollars and seems like i 'm going to loose my money. I thought this was a serious company since its based in XXXX XXXX and its the biggest crypto currency wallet in the world. Please do something!!!

Complaint: My complaint is towards Coinbase where I previously had XXXX euro stored with them in what I believed was a secure wallet. On XXXX.XXXX.2017 I tried to login to my account at XXXX ( a subsidiary of Coinbase ) which I accessed through XXXX ( the first link in the search ) and was instead taken to a phishing site XXXX, set up exactly the same way as the original site. I tried to login and after two failed login attempts using my XXXX protection codes I recieved two emails, one which stated my email account had been accessed from an unauthorized location, and another to say I had transferred the entirety of my account in the form of XXXX to an unknown address ( screenshots attached of both emails ). After this happened I obviously contacted the company via email to explain the situation, whereby I was reasonably promptly sent a generic reply saying they had blocked my account and asking me to complete a series of questions as a security review. I changed my passwords as suggested and was told I would recieve a reply within 5 days. In the meantime I did some research online and realised I was not the only person to fall victim to this fraud and that Coinbase had been notified of this security breach as many as 11 days earlier via XXXX ( screenshot attached ) yet failed to do anything about it in order to ensure their customers were suitably protected. When I did recieve the reply a few days later, it was once again a generic response which somewhat predictably washed their hands of any wrongdoing and implied I would not be able to get my funds returned to me. After speaking to others who were scammed the same way and who have since seeked legal advice, Coinbase should be held liable for this breach of security and should refund their customers as they failed to act quickly enough to extinguish the threat. I hereby declare that I would like my original amount of XXXX euro refunded to my Coinbase account and my account unblocked as soon as possible or I too will be forced to take legal action against the company

Complaint: Coinbase closed my account immediately after only two transactions, claiming that I was using my account for purposes not sanctioned by their company 's bylaws. This company deals exclusively with virtual currencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum and charge additional fees on top of every transaction you perform and have been known to swindle customers out of vast amounts of money for no apparent reason whatsoever. These customers are only given the option to remove all virtual currencies from their accounts within 30 days or else they will permanently freeze your funds so that they can never be accessed again. In my specific e-mail I was told that I was using my account for purchases or transactions that were " illegal '' when I used my bitcoin to purchase a collectible decoration from overseas and using bitcoin was easier to use than to perform a wire transfer and cost less money to do so. Because I had a problem with the product I received, I could not refund the item because refunds had to be made to the same Bitcoin wallet address that funded the transaction and therefore I am now stuck with a broken product and no way of recouping expenses.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I purchased some cryptocurrencies on coinbase.com, then on XXXX XXXX I found out that my account has been disabled, I was not able to log into my account and withdraw those cryptocurrencies ( worth more than 2000 dollars now ), so I immediately sent Coinbase a ticket following their instructions @ XXXX XXXX XXXX Then I received an auto-reply from them telling me my case number : # XXXX From that day on, I 've been waited for 8 days and still nothing from them. Last week I figured out Coinbase 's support phone number and called, each time I stayed on the line for more than half hour, but the calls never went through. I 'm pretty desperate and angry right now. It seems like Coinbase does n't care about the customers like me. I know their support team is still functioning because several friends of mine tried to verify their Coinbase accounts last few days and their requests got proved immediately. So my conclusion is Coinbase choose to ignorant technical problems, they only respond to the problems that endanger their profits. I want my money back. Please help me.

Complaint: I have an account with Coinbase/XXXX that was unexpectedly disabled right before an extremely large surge in price. My account was already verified and active ( successfully trading for days prior ). Timeline as follows ... XXXX XXXX : Account is disabled after a sell of all my coin on that exchange at XXXX XXXX {$8100.00} USD ). Plan to buy the dip was unable to be fulfilled. ( H:XXXX, L:XXXX ). Instructed to call support, but no phone support available and no voicemail able to be left. Emailed support via website. XXXX XXXX : No response, little activity in BTC. XXXX XXXX : Still no response, still attempting to call and email. Market surges in value ( H : XXXX ). Start a withdrawal despite website status stating that US withdrawals are experiencing issues. XXXX XXXX : Submit another request as market surges yet again ( H:XXXX ). Also file complaint with the BBB ( hadnt thought to file with CFPB yet. No responses. Current : Received my USD funds, but will be unable to capitalize on market activity for several days due to these issues.
