Complaint: On XXXX XXXX , XXXX , I made a {$400.00} payment to Best Buy credit card services for a TV I had intended to purchase. I never bought the TV, and when I went to cancel the payment I set up through my bank, I missed the cutoff date by a few days and the electronic payment went out. I went to the Best Buy store in XXXX and they told me I would have to talk to their credit card people. Citibank handles Best Buy credit card services. I contacted Citibank at XXXX , I believe it was in late XXXX , XXXX . They acknowledged the payment of {$400.00} and said they would look into it. I never heard from them. I contacted Citibank again in late XXXX and again, they acknowledged that I made the payment. The young lady with Citibank stated she would assign a case number and get back to me. Shje / Citibank never got back to me. I mentioned to them that if they sent me a check, if it did not come as a check, I would probably have treated it as junk mail / another credit card offer and toss the envelope in the trash. The young lady I talked to did not state if they had ever sent me a check. The young lady asked me for my bank routing number and account number. I assume she wanted it for two reasons. To check if they had sent me a check and if it had cleared my bank, or to electronically pay me so I would not treat their mailing as junk mail. I will be glad to give you more information such as my Best Buy Credit Card Account number, as well as my bank routing and account number, and a screen shot of my bak statement showing the payment I made to them for {$400.00}. Complaint: I opened an account wi th Citibank for a {$500.00} promotion. I had to open a checking and savings account and put {$50000.00} in within 30 days. I also had to switch to paperless statements. I followed all the directions on point. They decided to close my checking account without prior knowledge nullifying my credit to the {$500.00} even though {$50000.00} is still in the savings. This was deliberate in an attempt to deny me the prom otion.

Complaint: In XXXX 2017 I switched my billing to eBills through my bank, XXXX XXXX . When the bank processed my eBill, the minimum payment due reflected as my entire balanc e ( so m e $ 4,000+ ). The bank did not process my payment due to the erroneous amount. I contacted Best Buy Credit Cards ( Citi Bank ) and explained my issue. I was told that any late fees would be reversed and that my minimum payment due was that which reflected on my paper statement, about {$44.00}. I made that payment. The next month I received another bill with the late payment still assessed. I made my minimum payment due on time because the late payment should not have posted per the agent 's discussion. The same thing happened in XXXX except XXXX late payments were now assessed. When I called the contact center I was told that, despite the agent in XXXX accepting the payment as a bank error and thus reversing the charge, that I was still responsible for paying the late payment even though I was told it would be reversed. I remitted my minimum payment due per my original cardholder agreement and instructions from the agent. <P/> Since then I have received no fewer th an 2-3 calls per day from a collection arm called Citi Client First. I finally spoke with them and expla ined my issue. I have been remitting my minimum payments due less their erroneous fees. The escalation agent, XXXX , told me that he would not be able to reverse any late fees despite the fact that this snowball effect has occurred outside of my control. I remitted a payment of {$110.00} ( roughly 3x my normal minimum payment due amount ) in order to stop the harassing phone calls and voicemails. Because o f these fees charged, the extra monies paid will not go to reduce my principle. Instead, they will go to pay fees that never should have been assessed per the conversation made in XXXX 2017 .

Complaint: Citi Bank received my formal dispute on XXXX / XXXX / 17 . I requested validation of this account, as they have a Best Buy credit card reporting as " written off/past due '' under my social security number. CitiBank only responded with a letter stating the account is delinquent {$470.00}, with no other information. Citi Bank also failed to mark my credit report as disputed within thei r 30 allowable days. I then mailed them another letter asking for validation and how they verified the account. I hav e still not gotten a reply from them nor have I received any additional correspondence associated with this account they claim to be mine.

Complaint: Sears citi bank card I have been trying sometime know to have the Sears citi bank card and XXXX to send me something with my signature on it that validates that I am the correct person on the account or that I authorized any of the payment and I have sent certifeyed letters to both company to send me some type of verification and I recieved my credit report comments fcba dispute resolved- consumer disagrees and of course I disagree. So because I can not get the credit card company or the sear citi bank credit card company to send me anything I am asking the fcba to hgive me the names and addrress of the people the spoke with that can verify that that is my account and to send me some information and proof of my signature. You would think that after certify letter requesting this information 2 ti me from each company this matter would be resolve and deleted from the credit companys I can not get any credit anywhere because of this inaccuracy

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX XXXX , I r eceived a letter in the post from Citibank stating that Citibank has closed my credit card due to supposed inactivity. Prior to this letter, I received absolutely no notification whatsoever from Citibank regarding this closure. Citibank automatically closed my credit card on its own at its own will, without even the slightest common courtesy and decency of notifying me well in advance of its action and the steps I ought to take to prevent such action. I logged into my online account. I was able to conduct a chat session there, but the representative could not do anything to remed y the issue at stake. I called XXXX , but the automatic system hung up on me when it could not understand the reason for my call. I then called again. A representative said my account would be under review, and that indeed, absolutely nothing could be done immediately such that I could use my card right away. I would like to add that both American Express and XXXX have confirmed to me they will never do such an automatic closure without proper advance notification. Shame on Citibank.

Complaint: Dear CFPB, I was subpoenaed to come to XXXX County XXXX XXXX Court to work out a payment arrangement with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX, FL whom were representing XXXX XXXX XXXX who was representing Citi/Sears XX/XX/16 I made my 1st pmt theday of the court date but XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX filed a judgement against me on XXXX/XXXX2016. I did n't understand why they did this when I worked out a payment arrangement with the mediator and their law firm. I paid the debt in full. Well, I am trying to close on a Home Equity Line of credit and I was informed by the title company that I have a judgement on my credit report even though I completely paid off my debt. ( See Attached Letter ). I come to find out through internet research that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is no longer in business. I sent an e-mail to them asking for my judgement to be satisfied and to send me a letter with my Case # XXXX and Document # XXXX stating that my judgement was satisfied.
