I phoned them back XXXX which is the number that called. I asked why they were calling me about my father. I said he past away, they said you need to send us his death certificate now. I don't know who would be doing this, is it a scam? I told them never to call me again and then they asked for my number,,,

Complaint: After sending in 2 letters to collector to validate debt they have not been able to provide any validation / written contract with my signature. All i am getting is phone calls and letters that don't address my Validation letter pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 { b } that your claim is disputed, and validation is requested. I have also received a letter saying they may sue me. I am a single father and this has made a major negative impact on my credit score which intern is hurting my chance to have enough credit to help pay for my sons needs and getting a much needed home. I have also been victim to XXXX breach and my personal information is being used in the dark web.

Complaint: Item described by said creditor on my report ( s ) is not mine, I am a XXXX and rarely ever use any other form of payment that isnt cash or a prepaid debit card. According to my mother letters periodically pop up from this company saying this amount is owed and to a different creditor? Im assuming theyre just a debt collection agency. Ive never heard of either in my life and dont want this to keep following me everywhere I go. Whether its to open a new phone line, or attempt to purchase anything on credit.

Complaint: I have a situation with a harassing collector with verification of validation letters, and I am still investigating why they are wanting to collect on a debt that exceeds the amount and the time of the statues of limitation in my state of NJ.
My finances went out of control, and I have the reason to believe based on collectors standards, any debt charged off from the original institution, is sold pennies on a dollar.
So if in any case I should pay, it should be above the amount purchased enough for them to attain a fair profit.
