Complaint: At the request of Carrington Mortgage, I have been making my mortgage payment using XXXX Collect since XX/XX/2016. Carrington mortgage is reporting that I made XXXX late payments more than 30 days late for the months of XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/2016. However, neither XXXX of these payments were made more than 30 days late. I filed a dispute back at the end of XX/XX/2016 I have submitted my original receipts showing the date and the time these payments were made and Carrington Mortgage has still refused to correct my Transunion, Equifax and Experian. The dispute was closed and all Carrington did was report a different balance to the credit bureaus. The update from Transunion was completed/closed stating " your mortgage balance has increased from {$98000.00} to {$98000.00} which is the same balance. This dispute did n't do anything to update the late payments or nothing to redeem my score dropping XXXX points from this error. The XX/XX/XXXX payment was made on XX/XX/2016 at XXXX PST and the XX/XX/XXXX Payment was made on XX/XX/2016 at XXXX PST. These payments were made on time as an Urgent Payment via XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. These payments are sent without delay and sent within minutes. Based on the XXXX policy, payments can be delayed if they made after XXXX EST. The XX/XX/2016 payment was made at XXXX XXXX, which is XXXX EST. The XX/XX/2016 payment was made at XXXX XXXX, which is XXXX XXXX. Carrington Mortgage did not acknowledge my payment until XX/XX/2016 for the XX/XX/2016 payment. Carrington did not acknowledge the second payment until XX/XX/2016 for the XX/XX/2016 payment. Carrington mortgage is required to report accurate information to the credit bureaus and they are refusing to correct their mistake. I have attached the original receipts and a letter from XXXX showing that these payments were made before the XXXX days late mark.. No doubt the inclusion of this inaccurate information is a mistake on the reporting creditor 's part. Because of the mistakes on my credit report, I have been wrongfully denied credit recently for a refinance, which was highly embarrassing and has negatively impacted my lifestyle. Please work with Carrington to do the right thing and have these inaccurate late payments removed from my credit report with all XXXX bureaus.

Complaint: Our mortgages was sold by XXXX Mortgage to Carrington Mortgage effective XXXX XXXX, 2016. We were in the process of going through a refinance with a third lender and had to wait until our account was active in Carrington 's system before we could order a payoff. On XXXX XXXX, 2016, I called in, spoke to a rep named XXXX, and ordered an expedited payoff statement, checked the balance of the escrow and requested my automatic payment plan be cancelled since we would be paying off the loan before XXXX XXXX payment was due. I was told the automatic payment plan was not showing up on the system and to call back after XXXX XXXX. I tried to call back on XXXX XXXX, but Carrington was closed. I called on XXXX XXXX, spoke to XXXX and repeated my request to have my payment plan cancelled. After being transferred to another rep, XXXX, he told me I was not on any automatic payment plan, therefore no payment could be drafted on XXXX XXXX. I would have to submit a packet in order to get on an automatic payment plan. Our loan with Carrington paid off in full on XXXX XXXX, 2016. On XXXX XXXX, Carrington autodrafted a payment from my bank account, causing me to become overdrawn and charged an NSF fee. We called into Carrington on XXXX to complain and was told they could n't even see the payment posted to the account and I would need to fax in proof of payment and the NSF fee before they could do anything. I faxed in the requested information. On XXXX XXXX, I received a call stating I would need to sign the letter I had faxed in before they could start anything. I signed the letter and refaxed. On XXXX XXXX, I called in to check on the status of my request. According to XXXX, my request has been closed, but no check had been sent out. Each time I call in, I start over and each time I am told that a refund request takes 14 days to process before a check will be issued and mailed out to us. At this rate, it will be XXXX before I see the money Carrington Mortgage stole from us, if at all. Yes, STOLE. I never gave Carrington Mortgage authorization to autodraft a payment. I called TWICE and revoked the authorization Carrington inherited from XXXX. They stole my money and are making me jump through hoops in order to get it back. What 's to stop them from taking a payment on XXXX XXXX? I ca n't take them at their word. The real kicker? We received a letter from Carrington dated XXXX XXXX, 2016 thanking us for ENROLLING in their automatic payment plan to begin on XXXX XXXX, 2016. The letter was postmarked XXXX XXXX. This is the shadiest mortgage company I have ever dealt with.

Complaint: My mortgage was sold to Carrington Mortgage Services ( XXXX ) by XXXX. I had never heard of XXXX before. I had only received XXXX piece of mail from XXXX, and my payment was coming due, so I called XXXX to determine how to pay my bill and if it would be automatically drafted as it was at XXXX. They said the auto payments would NOT continue and I could n't set it up online and that I would have to fill out a form to authorize XXXX to pull the money on a recurring schedule. I made XXXX XXXX time online payments for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Right after I made the XX/XX/XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX, I got a notice in the mail that they were going to auto-draft my payment on XX/XX/XXXX. I called them and asked them to cancel this, since I already made a payment. Also, I never sent in the form to authorize payments, but they said XXXX had sent the info to them ( is this LEGAL?!? ). The lady said she would cancel it as all they needed was XXXX business days to cancel it. Well, on XX/XX/XXXX, the payment was pulled from my bank account. I called them and asked them to refund my money immediately. They said it would take up to XXXX business days. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and I was transferred to a " senior specialist ''. I asked him if he was a supervisor and he said no. After speaking with him for a few minutes, I had to ask for a supervisor as this " senior specialist '' could not give me hardly any new information than the previous rep.
I FINALLY spoke with a supervisor named XXXX ( ID XXXX ). She informed me that I am XXXX of XXXX clients who made double payments ( when in reality, I made XXXX payment, and they essentially stole money from my bank account without my permission ). She also mentioned that they " do this all the time '' ( meaning they buy mortgages ). It 's hard to believe they do this all the time, yet have no clue how to service these clients or accounts. This is a MAJOR error on their part.
She said that she has to tell me it could take up to XXXX business days but will likely be less. I told her I work in the financial services industry and a standard ACH takes no more than XXXX business days. She said because they have to use an outside bank, it takes longer, but that my request has been expedited. And still with it being expedited, she could only give me a 15 day timeline.
The customer service was terrible. They gave me wrong information on XXXX occasions - a. They told me my payment would not be auto-drafted b. They said they would cancel the auto-draft since I made a manual payment based on their previous information.
It 's a shame they are stealing money from people right before XXXX.

Complaint: I am writing this letter because for years I have been back and forward with my mortgage company over my payment history. The loan that I have with Carrington Mortgage, I have made complaint with the XXXX, and in the dispute going through them they stated that there was nothing more that they could do, but advise me to go further on it. There are a lot of complaints on the company similar to my situation. I modified the loan and every since I have had problems even with it, it seems like around the first of every year it they say I owe them a lot of money. I have constantly been going through receiving intention of foreclosure letters and once the company sent me a check back. Now, I have noticed some miscellaneous charges on my account. I have always sent money whether I was working or not. The company also have placed on my credit report that I have filed bankruptcy with them. The information is false I never filed bankruptcy on Carrington Mortgage. I have even had representatives to tell me that I am on a adjustable mortgage, which is not true. I need someone to please help with this. The mortgage company for some reason when I send money they will place it in a suspense account and not apply everything to the loan and when they state that loan late there is still amount in the suspense account. I have used all resources in paying my mortgage, even though the company states if not working I can contact to set up something to help for the hard times, but that does not seem to help, because I tried once when I was unemployed to receive help. This was done before I finally was approved to modify the loan, which I was put through if my ex- husband did not sign they could not do it, but in their rules it stated that if divorced and other things was an exception to that which I was divorced and I and ex was not on speaking terms. I received in my mail today a letter stating that your home is at risk of foreclosure. A non-judicial foreclosure may be initiated 10 days from the date of this letter. The mortgage company right now is stating that I owe {$3300.00}, which they never can explain to me how. I am constantly sending in a payment on mortgage. I even question if a payment was misapplied somewhere else.

Complaint: All of my payments have been on time since having a mortgage with Carrington ( mortgagee ). However, when I was contacted by Carrington to refinance afterwards my payments went from {$1500.00} to {$1400.00} starting in XXXX 2016. So for XXXX I continued to make my payment of {$1400.00} but on the payment website the amount due was showing {$1500.00} so I immediately contacted the agents of CMS which were my primary contacts throughout financing. I was told by the agents that there must be a mistake and they would investigate and to continue to make the {$1400.00} refinanced payment while they research the issue.
When I tried to make the XXXX payment I was told by another agent that my XXXX payment was not made. I told that agent that I did make the {$1400.00} payment. The agent said that the amount was not applied as paid because it was not in full ( {$1500.00} ). I explained that I had refinanced and my primary contacts were looking into this matter to make the amount due corrections. The agent continued to research and said that more than likely my escrow had increased and I should go ahead and pay the {$1500.00} amount for XXXX and the additional {$96.00} for XXXX while this is being researched. So I paid those amounts in hopes of getting this issue corrected soon.
After receiving derogatory credit reporting from Carrington for not paying the full {$1500.00} amount in XXXX without explanation of why it was increased I finally received a letter on XXXX/XXXX/2016 explaining hat happened.
My property taxes had increased for XXXX thus increasing my escrow and monthly payment amount but I was not notified by Carrington nor the City of XXXX.
After explaining this situation to Carrington, they are refusing to correct the missed payment reporting to the credit bureaus.
To add further insult. I have documentation from the refinance closing that I was entitled to a closing refund that CMS has refused to pay me

Complaint: I have fallen behind on my payments. I applied for a modification which I did not qualify for. In XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted retention and made a payment of about {$3200.00}. I called today to XXXX another payment of {$1200.00}, monthly payment is {$1000.00} and there is a couple XXXX in suspense. They refused to take my payment said I had to pay XXXX in full, would not allow me to speak with retention. They said I failed to keep my agreement, which I had no agreement I was n't approved for the modification. Last year I experienced so setbacks, but I am trying to remedy that and move on. I need my home I have children. But Carrington Mortgage Servicing is unwilling to allow me any solutions. I do not receive regular communications from them so I am not sure where I am with the loan. I calculated I will have the loan current and will be able to pay monthly by XX/XX/XXXX, if allowed to make the larger payments in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: XXXX sold my mortgage to Carrington Mortgage Services, LLC in XX/XX/XXXX, and they have refused to take mortgage payments, has not provided the original wet ink signed unaltered documents showing proof to collect, refused a short sale, refused assumption packet, had my homeowner 's insurance canceled, submitted altered documents to XXXX and XXXX courts requesting to foreclose on my property three times with most recent letter dated XX/XX/XXXX with a move out date of XX/XX/XXXX. CMS provided altered docs stating I defaulting on loan in XX/XX/XXXX and did not reinstate the loan when I have documents showing that XXXX approved a loan modification and said for me not to may payments from XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX. CMS submitted docs to County 's recording office stating I appeared in CA and other locations that I did not appear. Did not honor the Administrative process to show proof of " said '' debt, and the mortgage loan has been securitized and CMS can not produce a clear title or show true holders of the promissory note or title. CMS has tried to force me to move out of the property and refuse to work with me. CMS has rude customer service reps, do not apply payments in a timely manner, called to cancel my homeowner 's insurance, increases customers mortgage payments without valid explanations, changes the locks on the residents homes, make attempts to break into properties, file fraudulent docs with County 's Clerks office, website will not accept online payments - forcing customers to pay additional money for alternative payment methods. CMS is a very dishonest company who do not seek to work with its mortgagee but rather are quick to use deceptive practices and altered documents to enforce foreclosing proceedings. CMS will lie, created fraudulent documents, send over workers to illegally enter your property, and submit fraudulent documents to courts and County 's Clerks office to conceal their illegal attempts to steal your home.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX XXXX I received a letter from my then mortgage company XXXX XXXX XXXX saying as XX/XX/XXXX they will no lnoger be my mortgage servicer that they had sold it in XX/XX/XXXX to Carrington Mortgage Services and as of XX/XX/XXXX all payments should be sent to them. I still have not received a letter or any type of communication from Carrington to let me know they have aquired my mortgage. When I call them the representative told me it could 60 days or longer before we even get assigned a account number and receive any sort of communication from them. The Representative further stated that Carrington had purchased XXXX mortgages from XXXX in this transaction and that the previous month they had purchased XXXX from XXXX and that they where over whelmed and backed up on the transfer of all these mortgages. Carrington is in violation of the law for not even sending me a letter to inform me they had aquired the mortgage and it is well appereant that they can not handle such large purchases of XXXX mortgages in 2 months. The law very clearly states that when mortgages are sold from servicer to another it must not be in anyw ay a burden or problem for the consumer. It is not my fault or problem if Carrington has purchased more mortgages then can possibly handle in any good way for the customer.
