Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement

Credit card:

Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft of Barclays Bank Delaware credit card opened on XX/XX/XXXX by someone using my personal data. I have provided all necessary documents, the police report and the FTC Affidavit report, to the Bank in order to justify as proof that I am the victim of identity theft. I am very disappointed with the Barclays fraud investigation process. I have mailed several letters ( via certified mail ) with my many important questions but I have never received any responses to my questions. I demanded answers to my list of questions, however, the Bank has not yet responded to my questions. I believe this is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). In my last couple phone conversations with the Barclays fraud investigators, their final conclusion of the investigation was that this card was activated by a phone call made from my home phone. I requested the Bank to mail me proof of any documents to support their claim. So far I am still waiting for their answer from the Bank along with many other questions as stated in my letters. I also asked the bank to stop harassing me with phone calls 3 to 4 times per day consistently and sending me letters to collect the money that I do not owe, and now the bank engaged the debt collector, XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. At this point, I believe I have provided all documents to justify that this is a fraudulent account and that I am the identity theft victim. Please help me to clear this ongoing issue with Barclays Bank.

Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Credit card

Debt is not mine
Complaint: They reported the debt on my credit report as a charge off. When I disputed it with the Credit Reporting agencies as not mine they validated the debt. I contacted them via certified mail with a " Notice of Direct Dispute '' under FCRA 623 ( a ) ( 8 ) ( D ) and they never responded. I filed a complaint with you indicating that they would not respond to my letters and they finally responded and promised to send " statements for the life of the account '' ( see attached letter from them ) Despite repeated requests I 've received NOTHING from them.. This is a direct violation of the FDCPA 15 U.S.C. 1692e ( 2 ) ( a ) which prohibits the false representation of " the character, amount, or legal status of any debt ''.

Complaint: Case # XXXX I received a letter from Barclaycard and they will not honor our request for the account to be charge off and confirmed that we have enrolled for the Hardship Payment program of {$18.00} for 12 months that started on XXXX XXXX, 2015. I still did not get an answer of why we are being charge {$35.00} month for payment due plus {$18.00} taken out totaling {$54.00} due on top of that which increases our balance and also once the account is charged off I will still honor my commitment to pay but this way it puts an end to the interest that is increasing monthly and the balance never seems to be lower.

Transaction issue

Complaint: This account was closed in XXXX XXXX. Recently, in XXXX XXXX, I received a bill, which stated that I owe {$120.00}. I have enclosed copies of the billing statements from XXXX XXXX, through XXXX XXXX. As you can see, prior to the closing of my account, the bill was always paid in full. It was in XXXX, and according to the information I received from Barclay 's, my account was closed effective XXXX XXXX, XXXX, after payment in full of the {$130.00}, which resulted in a zero balance on the account. Thereafter, in XXXX XXXX, after the account had been closed for a month, I received a statement, which had an automatic charge XXXX. First, I had cancelled my membership with XXXX, effective, XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Second, and more importantly, the credit card account had been closed on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, so the card should not have gone through for a XXXX XXXX charge. Therefore, the charge from XXXX for XXXX XXXX was disputed. When I contacted Barclay 's in XXXX XXXX, after receipt of the XXXX XXXX statement, regarding the disputed charge, I was told it would be looked into. For the next six XXXX months I checked the statements, which were received from Barclays. For each of the statement from XXXX XXXX, to XXXX XXXX, the " Minimum Payment Due '' was stated as " None ''. Thereafter from XXXX XXXX, through XXXX XXXX, a full three ( 3 ) years after the credit card had been canceled and the account closed, effective XXXX XXXX, XXXX, the " Minimum Payment Due '' was stated as " None ''. Now, over three years after the disputed charge was first brought to the attention of Barclays and over three years of receiving statements, which had " Minimum Payment Due '' was stated as " None '', there is a request for payment of {$120.00}, which includes service charges.

Complaint: I have wrote to Barclay multiple times to have them remove me from their mailing list. I continuously get emails from them and have requested for them to remove me after every harassing email. I was told by the secure message center that they can not remove me from this. I do n't understand how they can not remove me. I NEVER signed up for these harassing emails in the first place so someone had to add me to this list and I want that person to remove me from the harassing emails. It is ILLEGAL to continue to send these SPAM emails to an individual after they have requested to be removed. So I will give them XXXX final chance to remove me from the mailing list. Next recourse will be to report them to the FTC and/or the state XXXX. Additionally, I will be informing my internet provider of XXXX XXXX that this company is sending out SPAM emails. And I will submit a claim and complaint every time I am sent a harassing email so that all actions are documented. Thanks.
