Complaint: As a XXXX user we answered a promotion for Visa thru Barclays Bank to create additional reward points by using their Visa. We were to received XXXX points once we spent {$1000.00} using the Barclays XXXX Visa. We did. We could see the points on the statement. They have since disappeared. XXXX, the points created monthly have not been transferred to the Choice Privilege Acc't. The promo, also, promised XXXX points on the anniversary date of the XXXX card. We fear that wo n't happen. Tried to use the customer support for both XXXX Hotels and Barclays Bank. They just point fingers back to each other.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2016, I was informed by my father I received a letter at his home from the referenced collection agency. Upon calling on the same date, I spoke with a XXXX XXXX who stated my account was in a " Pre-legal state. '' I immediately asked to speak with a Supervisor and was connected with a " XXXX '' who said that they state that on all of their calls for this credit card because the creditor makes a decision if they will close the account and have their in-house attorney sue on them. This is a clear violation of Section 807 " False or Misleading information '' of the FDCPA, because the referenced statement implies the collection agency could sue me when it is up for the company, and even by " XXXX '' own admission the collection agency does not sue people. Additionally, legal action would not be immediately taken, as the attorney is required to send a letter of demand/validation notice before filing a petition with any court. I also feel the name XXXX XXXX XXXX is deceptive as it implies they are a location company, not a debt collection agency. Additionally, I have never received a validation notice regarding this account, as I stated I had moved and was never asked for an address on where to send the validation notice.

Complaint: XXXX - Barclays Declined Dispute / negatively affecting credit score. Intially, I was charged {$120.00} for consulation, we were very hesitant because there was no real sign of them being licensed, no medical staff were present & provided no business cards at all. My appointment originally was with a female doctor but she apparently was n't around & another male doctor was available. My husband asked for proof of credentials or certification & was he a board certified plastic surgeon, he would not present anything. After all this, we were n't comfortable going ahead, could not trust this company and walked out. My husband told the receiptionist, XXXX, that we do n't want to go ahead with the procedures and would like our account credited for amount they took in advance. She told us the XXXX XXXX accouting office is closed, she will call the office on Monday & so did we, to get the full refund returned. My husband spoke with XXXX XXXX from their accounting department in XXXX about the refund & XXXX emailed in writing a confirmation that the refund process has been intiated on XX/XX/2010. Nothing was refunded to my original credit card for the {$4000.00}. We called again but were told XXXX XXXX was no longer with the company. I contacted my credit card provider, Barclays, about what happened & numerous disputes against this charge and XXXX. Barclays were very unhelpful and refused to accept my genuine, legitimate request.

Complaint: I noticed this inquiry on my XXXX credit report, I called this Barclays Bank they could n't find anything, the customer service representative told me it will be removed. I got my up to date credit report from XXXX it 's still on it. I then sent a certified letter and they responded with a letter saying that they received a on line credit application for some type of credit I 'm not sure of what type of credit. They 're just telling me they verified the information on the application. I do n't know this bank/ company never applied for no type of credit on XXXX/XXXX/16. I 've been a victim of identity theft and that 's why I requested my credit reports from all XXXX agencies. This isnt me they wo n't show me anything showing they verified this and it belongs to me.

Complaint: I have had a XXXX Credit card for years, i have purchased and paid a lot of things with it and wanted to redeem my points. The credit card made it so hard to redeem my points that it 's ridiculous, I had been trying to do this for more than a month already and now I wanted to cancel the card since it just not worth it anymore and they charge yearly fee but I want my points redeemed and they have put a mark on my credit report. To make the matters worth, I had points that were worth ~ {$600.00} + and now I ca n't redeem for cash but for the some gift cards which are worth around ~ {$130.00} and are through the recommended companies which will rip you off, but even they are not even helping, because they do n't provide even a customer service phone numbers and only communicate through email.
