Complaint: I, XXXX XXXX, am writing regarding a deposit I made to my account on XX/XX/XXXX on or about XXXX. Through the Bank of America app. this check is from XXXX as I am employed with XXXX XXXX and have been for the last 8+ years. I am also a long standing bank of America customer. In any case. The app initially stated that the check funds XXXX would be released onbthe next business day XX/XX/XXXX. Now in addition to that statement there is also another statement on the app saying my funds will be placed on hold until XX/XX/XXXX. 8 days after the intial date and 6 days after I would need said funds to keep from defaulting on my bills. I have spoken with XXXX, the intial customerservice agent, then XXXX whom I was told is XXXX 's supervisor and finally XXXX whom I was told is Candaces supervisor. XXXX told me when they tried to retrieve the funds initially the other account wouldnt release the funds .So the bank has reason to believe the check may bounce due to insufficient funds on the other parties behalf and I dont have the funds to cover the XXXX. I said XXXX?! XXXX may bounce a check, you do understand that XXXX is the XXXX XXXX employees retirement system correct? So essentially youre saying the city doesn't have the funds to cover a check for an account that all city employees pensions are in? I asked to speak with a manager who could possibly better assist me as this didnt seem correct. I AM a Manager was her snarky reply but I will get another if you really want one. Thank you. I was then connected to XXXX whom couldn't give me an answer as to why an extended hold was placed on said funds. The closest answer I received was " something '' specific causes the bank to believe the check may not clear. When i asked what specifically, XXXX could not give me a definitive answer. I asked did XXXX the City Retirement System dispute the validity of the check. No was the response, therefore I am at a loss.I then asked for a corporate number so that I may find a definitive answer and hence resolve the issue. He said he didnt have one but he gave me an email XXXX I eamiled no response cc the CEO XXXX XXXX XXXX filed numerous complaints with XXXX, Federal Reserve, FDIC Bank of A help via XXXX, online help via the app. All to no avail, at this point today is the deadline the very reason I took a loan against my pension as I have bills due today XX/XX/XXXX which have now become delinquent. I can not stress enough how dis heartening this is. I am a civil servant decency decorum professionalism and respect are tantamount. I witnessed none of these in my interaction with Bank of America. I have reached out to XXXX who assured me they are not holding any funds and those funds were made available as soon as I requested it be done. They instructed me to contact my banking institution as the issue is on my banks end. The complete opposite of what Bank of America purports. Essentially, they are holding my finds XXXX and causing my bills to go into delinquency, with a blantant falsehood.I have exhausted every avenue. I informed Bank of America that if my funds weren't made available to me by today in time to pay my bills I would be pursuing litigation. Its sad that it has to come to that over a XXXX check. However I have exhausted every option. Any assistance which you could provide would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Complaint: I received my VISA bill from Bank of America Due date was XX/XX/2019 I realized there is a late payment charges from previous month, because I always pay my bills prior to due date.
I called customer service I told them that I never received any bills from you. I paid them my bill for previous and recent month by phone on XX/XX/2019 And bank refunded the late fee charges to my account.
I received a cancellation letter from bank. I called several time. I could not get any reasonable answer from bank.
I am retired XXXX financially I am doing very good, my house is paid off.
I am very upset about their decision, that does not make sense to me.
I do have other credit cart for past almost fourth Years that I never had any issues with any of them.

Complaint: On XX/XX/19 I received a notice from XXXX XXXX XXXX that my car payment had bounced. I know that there was plenty of money in that account. I called XXXX to see what was going on. They informed me that Bank of America had frozen my account. This was news to me.
I called Bank of America to see what was going on as I had received absolutely zero communication about this. They informed me that I, the person that opened the account and the only person who uses it, was not authorized to even find out why my account was frozen. My wife, who is on the account but has literally never used it, had to call a number that the BoA rep gave me and give the reference number.
My wife calls the number, that I verified with the BoA rep, and gets something about cruise lines. I dont know if that was some prank by the BoA rep but Ill move on. My wife then calls the main BoA number and gives them the reference number. They are unable to find this.
After another hour or so of my pregnant wife calling seemingly every published number for BoA we get to the bottom of it. Bank of America froze my account causing my car payment, student loan payment, and BoA credit card payment to bounce. All because they could not verify an address for my wife.
My wife knowing that there are protocols and legal requirements in her own field concerning due diligence regarding contact attempts asked what steps BoA had taken before freezing my account. The astoundingly unacceptable answer was that they had sent one letter to this unverified address. No calls, no emails, not even a second letter to the verified address that every other piece of correspondence from BoA goes to.
In summary, Bank of America froze my account causing payments to bounce incurring late fees and affecting my credit score for the dumbest reason imaginable. This in itself Im not even that bothered by. They might have a good reason. They probably would say that Im not allowed to know why but Ill give them the benefit of doubt. What is so egregious is that they made almost no effort to contact me and the only way I found out that anything was wrong was from a different company altogether. They have my address, phone number, email, even my social security number. They can contact me easy as can be. They made the choice not to. This is wholly unacceptable.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 my card was used inside of an airport in XXXX. at the time i received a call from BANK OF AMERICA asking me if i was the one who used the card. i responded to them 'NO '' they thanked me and told me they would send me a new card stop the old one from being used. at the time of the incident i told the bank that the card was in XXXX XXXX and i was in XXXX XXXX Nevada. they asked me to confirm i had the card in my possession, so when i returned to XXXX XXXX i contacted the bank and told them that my card was here in my office. ever since i have opened up 5 claims with the bank and all 5 have been denied.
the transactions go as follows ; XX/XX/2019 {$27000.00} XX/XX/2019 {$820.00} XX/XX/2019 {$260.00} XX/XX/2019 {$880.00} XX/XX/2019 {$26.00} XX/XX/2019 {$7.00} i have contacted bank of america roughly 20 times regarding these claims and spent over 50 hours on the phone with them. they keep telling me that it is not fraud because the card was present at the time. the bank is telling me that it is impossible to replicate a card with a chip. i asked the bank to check the cameras inside of the airport, contact the vendors. i also told them i can provide them with proof that i was in the country at the time, and i also send them a formal letter explaining the series of events that took place. today i talked to them for another hour and they advised me that my claim was denied again. i got frustrated and decided to follow up with a complaint
