Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2016, I went to the Bank of America in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MA XXXX US to cash a check that I received from Tuition reimbursement from employer, the cashier ask me if I have a account with BOFA I said no and he proceed ask me to put my finger into a ink and put into to the check and a XXXX dollar fee was going to be charge. I did all the procedure he asked and he grabs the phone on the wall and called the manager to look my check. Here is the worst part started the Manage, XXXX XXXX, Assistant Vice President, Financial Center Manager. He also had my Government ID in his possession and declined to cash my check. He also told me that he was going to call the company from the check and I told him that was fine if he want to call and he went inside and come less then 1 min he never call the company and looked in the computer again and decline for no reason to check my check. I proceed ask the Manager if he can explain me why his not going to cash my check and he said he can not change the check and can not give any reason. When I told him that I was going to file sue on the Bank him he told me to leave the bank and not come back to cash my check again. This is not the first time I have problem with Bank Of America I had similar experience couple year ago and never come and said anything, so this time will be different I will publish in all social media this discrimination. I was with my XXXX daughter with me and she started cry in the bank with his arrogant attitude and screaming on us to leave the bank. One thing I am sure that my check has fund and he discriminated me and my daughter at the Bank of America in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MA XXXX. He does not give me any reason why he could not check my check and I am planning to sue this Bank for Discrimination.

Complaint: Where do i get started. My father has recently passed on XXXX XXXX 2016, and during my dads funeral services my wallet went missing, and i noticed the next day and noticed {$200.00} was taken out my account, but how? I then call bank of america to report my card lost or stolen and put in a claim for this money they stole from me, and how they got my pin is crazy, they must f been standing behind me at an atm at the time of the funeral, and that is petty and sad just like bank of america! They declined my claim for what reason I do not know, and its sad, because I never try to claim anything or go through this broken process with these banks. But my dad just died and all these expenses left behind fall on me and I am in ruins right now! I would n't be claiming anything false, and the money was taken at a store atm, when i only use bank of america for just that " security ''! I am very disappointed in the way bank of america handled it and denying me for {$200.00} that is much needed to get my dad funeral expenses paid. I am so disappointed that I will be seeking a new bank soon, because it is sad that a huge bank like them cant help in your most time of need!!

The second time Bank of America sold off my branch, so I fought to stay with them ( automatic deposits, linked accounts etc. ). I am not a commodity/product. Complaint: My loan is not escrowed. I pay for my own taxes and insurance. I also have an adequate insurance coverage amount and type for my loan amount. I also timely pay my property taxes. I have provided proof of adequate coverage to Bank of America repeatedly and consistently since the beginning of my loan. Despite this, Bank of America is continually adding money to my principal and interest amount as " escrow. '' As this is not part of my loan I do not pay this amount and Bank of America then classifies my payment as late generating late fees. I pay the contractually required amount, have adequate insurance and pay my taxes and insurance on time. I do not know what I am being charged for that is an escrowed item as there are no escrows on this loan account. I have confirmed with Bank of America repeatedly that the insurance amount is proper. I have XXXX fire/dwelling policies and XXXX flood policies covering this property. The property has a front and a rear building which and each building is insured separately. I have a total XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX dollars in fire coverage and a total of XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX in flood insurance. On the front building my fire coverage is {$250000.00} with {$120000.00} in flood. On the rear building I have {$140000.00} in fire and {$140000.00} in flood insurance. Bank of America spoke with my agent and approved the amounts of all insurance in several phone calls. Despite repeated assurances of adequate coverage, Bank of America has not charged with force gap coverage for a policy which costs an additional {$3000.00} per year even though the underlying insurance only costs {$1300.00} dollars, and once again, after expressly approving the amounts selected with my insurance agent on multiple occasions. I and my insurance agent have been calling every six weeks or so. This past time we called Bank of America could not provide and explanation as to why due to " system issues '' ( XXXX XXXX ). We were told that Bank of America could not explain why the force placed coverage can not be removed and refused to provide any further answers. XXXX manager XXXX ID XXXX, stated that the issue was because they did n't have declarations pages for " prior years ''. This is the first time that anyone has stated they were missing declarations pages. Bank of America has charged me various amounts over the past several months in violation of our loan agreement and seemingly arbitrarily.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2016 I accidentally double-paid the significant outstanding balance of my Bank of America XXXX account. I owed about {$26000.00} and I mistakenly made two payments totally {$52000.00}. My error! I immediately contacted BOA and asked that the second {$26000.00} payment be reversed and returned to my XXXX checking account. My credit line and other assets covered the over-payment with personal financial impact. After many phone calls and a waiting period, on XX/XX/2016 about {$26000.00} was taken out of my BOA account and I was told the amount would be in my checking account " tomorrow '', or " 3-5 business days '', or " 7-10 business days '' depending upon who answered my phone call. It is now XX/XX/2016 and the money is STILL not in my checking account. Even today I was promised " tomorrow '', or Friday, or next week. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me more than a dozen times then shame on the Bank of America. Even if the BOA promise of " tomorrow '' actually happens, I 'm formally filing a complaint and trust that CFPB will take action.

Complaint: I disputed a credit card charge on my Bank of America Visa card. B of A sent me a letter stating what I needed to mail or fax them to substantiate the claim. I purchased a windshield for my boat - the part was too small and does not fit. Numerous attempts to get the merchant to return my calls so I could get a RA in order to return the part failed. They never called me back, so I disputed the charge. One paragraph in the letter is what my issue is. It stated that I had to get a signed second opinion from another qualified merchant on their letterhead! Who would do that??????????? And the qualified merchant ( second opinion ) must physically inspect the merchandise in dispute! This is simply putting a requirement on the consumer that is impractical at best and allowing B of A to rapidly close the dispute without a just and fair outcome to the consumer.

Complaint: I opened a small business checking account in 2015 with Bank of America because they offered a {$100.00} signup bonus ( with qualifying deposit ). I made the deposit and did not receive the promotion, so I called in and was told I had earned the offer but it was likely still pending. I waited but still did not receive the offer. When I called in again, they said I did not have the promotion on my account and had no record of my previous call, or of the initial call when I opened my account. Despite presenting them with online evidence that the offer had been active when I opened my account, they refused to fulfill the promotion.

Complaint: I took out a mortgage on my property a year before Countrywide was bought by Bank of America. I was promised by Countrywide that my interest rate would be adjusted after a year or so. The Interest Rate was 8.85 % and my monthly payments have been for {$630.00} /mo. I have never missed or been late on any payment since. I started inquiring about a lower interest rate for my lo re-financing my Mrtg for at least 8 years now and always receive the same answer. Since I do n't have a XXXX XXXX or XXXX account there is nothing that can be done. My mortgage is under {$68.00} and it is still being met every month. As of XX/XX/XXXX I XXXX and am getting a little concerned about my ability to continue without a refinance to a lower rate. Of course since the GR I have been under water as my home has assessed for @ half of what it was valued at then. My retireme nt pkg can keep me viable for a while, but who knows how long I can keep going. I have asked at least 5 times to refinance the whole value at a lower rate but they say I am too far under to be considered. If you can help me to re-fi I would really be happy. I want to pay back what I owe, I only need to reduce my payment. Let me know what I need to do to get you all the necessary information. I have been pay ing this for around 9 years now at 8.85 % I see all these multi thousand dollar mortgages being re done and I do n't understand why they are hesitant to do mine. Thanks! Complaint: Our alleged servicer/collector either purchased or had a debt transferred to them from Bank of America N.A on or about XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX has represented themselves as holders of the debt even after me the homeowner requested the proper validation of the alleged debt 2 times XX/XX/XXXX and 2 times XX/XX/XXXX without producing any present right to the debt or right of possession. They have also added approx {$10000.00} each month after the first request of the debt validation XX/XX/XXXX to intimidate and harass us. XXXX refuses to sign for the registered receipts and refuses to show any valid contract as to the amounts being added. Furthermore they filed a notice of trustee sale on XXXX asking for an amount of debt that is {$300000.00} beyond the amount stated on the deed of trust and secured, hence violating the FDCPA through their attempt to collect a debt through deceptive and wrongful actions. Lastly, they have reported private information and employed another third party to attempt the illegal disposition of the real property at XXXX XXXX, XXXX, ca XXXX in contradiction of the homeowner notifying them through a " cfpb '' disclosure that they were not allowed to disclose any information. This company and its holding company XXXX XXXX XXXX have brought a new level of fraudulent activity into the market place in order to be unjustly enriched through their violations of law, Federal and State. This is a request for an investigation of this fraudulent company and their illegal actions against XXXX homeowners that are now XXXX years old and are in constant harassment and intimidation by this company and their newly appointed " trustee '' and illegal collector of the debt employing and using Unfair, deceptive, and abusive Business practices which can be observed in their filing of Notice of Trustee which has never been verified and is in noncompliance due to violations of the law. The homeowner has identified over XXXX violations just on the Notice of trustee and the fact that this Notice of Trustee was filed without a proper Notice of Default being recorded. In addition this company has employed false documents and has recorded them with the county recorders office to show a false interest in the debt.

Complaint: Started in XXXX when I purchased my XXXX home. In late XXXX XXXX I lost my job. I made every attempt to get help with my mortgage from Bank of America with no luck. XXXX I filed for bankruptcy in attempt to get out from under the house. It was discharged early in XXXX. Late in XXXX Bank of America took possession of the house with no notice or warning and did not foreclose on the property. I thought this was a normal course of action as this was my XXXX home and bankruptcy. Fast forward to late XXXX I am served with a summons to appear in court for HOA Fees on the home that I had n't been in for over 4 years. I tell the HOA there must be some mistake since the bank owns the home. They said contact the bank. I contact Bank of America and they apologize for locking me out and provide the key code so that I can move back in. They say that they will work with me to modify the mortgage after I move back into the property. Once I moved into the property they served me with foreclosure paperwork. At the mediation I asked for modification, cash for keys, or deed in lieu. They denied all of those things. They continually give me the run around. I forgot to mention that not long before the lock out there was a tornado in my area that caused damage to the roof and siding. My insurance cut a check but I never got the repairs since I was locked out. Now I ca n't get insurance on the property until the repairs are made and the insurance will not cut another check. Also, under Bank of Americas watch several pipes burst and caused damage to the home and possible mold. So now I have this house in my name that I ca n't do anything with and is causing me more and more money at every turn. I ca n't sell it due to the HOA liens that BOA refuses to help with.

Complaint: I rarely use my Bank America XXXX credit card. I used it once in XXXX ( I believe ) to buy gas for roughly {$30.00}. Because I use it infrequently, I did not recall that I had used it for one purchase. I did not realize that this small amount was outstanding because I did not receive a statement, nor did I receive any call, e-mail or text from Bank America. After approximately 30 days, they sent me an e-mail that asked me to call them in a very casual way, but did not mention that there was any issue. I called them immediately. After being informed that a small balance was outstanding, I paid them instantly. I later discovered that Bank America had filed a notice of 30+ days late with the major credit agencies, which reduced my credit rating. I called back and asked them to remove this since I had n't received notification, it was a small amount, and it was paid immediately. They submitted that request on my behalf and told me I 'd receive a written decision within 7-10 business days. I did not receive a written decision so I called Bank America. The woman told me that Bank America had found in my favor and that the adverse credit report would be removed. She said that I would receive a letter shortly stating this. When I did n't receive the letter ( again ) after a reasonable time, I called Bank America. This time, I was told that they had found against me and were refusing to remove the report. They said that they had sent multiple statements, but I told them that obviously I did n't receive them or I would have immediately paid such a small amount in full. Bank American admitted that other than the statement ( s ), they had made no effort to call me, to text me, or to contact me by e-mail. I asked why that was and the supervisor said, " You may not have given us consent to contact you ''. I did n't think that made a lot of sense. In my condo complex, we have over XXXX units and it 's not uncommon for mail to be misdirected. However, I can not say why I did not receive the statement. I 'd like these negative reports removed. I have acted in good faith and have immediately paid this small bill upon discovering that it was outstanding. I feel that Bank America did not make reasonable efforts to inform me of the outstanding bill and they provided false and misleading information when directly stating that the issue was resolved in my favor. Presumably that call was recorded.

Complaint: I received a collection letter from XXXX in XXXX 2016 about a Bank of America account. This was my first time hearing of this so I asked them to verify the account. The information sent to me did not verify the account as there was activity on my account in years in which I was not in the US and I did not authorize any accounts. I did not hear back from them again and called them back this week. I was advised that the account was sent back to Bank of America as they were not able to verify the account. I followed up with Bank of America and the agent was not able to confirm this account and provided a different account. However, Bank of America continues to report this on my credit report in violation of credit reporting laws despite multiple attempts. I am requesting that they remove this reporting whilst they investigate this and advise me immediately of their findings.

We repeatedly informed them that we do not want an impound account and did not sign any paper consenting to an impound account, and yet, an impound account was imposed without our permission at closing. We made numerous phone calls to Bank of America to remove the impound account, and our requests were ignored. Each time we called, we were reassured by different representatives that the impound account would be removed, but nothing happens.

' The bank and merchant should be be disclosed, so I can decide how to proceed. Not having to disclose the merchant helps remove certain accountabilities. Security Alert : We 're Issuing You a New Card To Help Keep Your Information Safe We 're letting you know your card may have been part of a compromise at an undisclosed merchant. This does n't mean that fraud has or will occur on your account and as always, you are not liable for fraudulent transactions when reported promptly. However, as a precaution, we 're issuing you a new card which will arrive soon. You may continue to use your current card until your new card arrives. Complaint: I was banking with Bank of America a few months ago and I lost all of my banking information. I have all of my banking information written down so that I wo n't forget it. It was the last week of XXXX and the last transaction I made with my card was on Monday XXXX, XXXX. I did n't know that I lost my information until that Wednesday XXXX, XXXX. When I was unable to log into my mobile app I contacted the bank and I was told that my atm was reported lost. I know that I did n't report my card lost because I did n't realize it was lost until the day I contacted the bank. As the weeks progressed I started to receive documents from Bank of America of bogus checks that someone tried to deposit into my account. Once again I know that I did n't authorize these transactions and also my signature was forged onto the checks. I tried to file a claim with the Bank and I informed them that I lost all of my information, and my claim was denied because whoever used my information did it through the mobile app, so it looks as though I self compromised my account which I did not. Due to this incident I am having an extremely hard time opening up a new bank account due to some else using my information. I really would like to get this resolved or removed somehow because as I 've stated previously I was not aware that I lost my information until I was unable to log into my mobile app and I started received all these different documents and things to my house.
