Complaint: I signed up for an american express everyday credit card under the pretense that my balance transfer would be 0 % interest for 18 months. When I received my first bill in XXXX, I had been charged {$32.00} interest. I immediately called the company and was told it would be taken care of in 3 to 5 business days. I have since gotten my second bill from them for XXXX and have been charged an additional {$59.00} in interest. I called them again on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX And was told they would file a dispute. It is now XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, and my account still has not been fixed. This has also caused my minimum payment to go up. I have been wrongfully charged a total of {$91.00}.

Complaint: Both myself and my husband are victims of IRS FRAUD, MORTGAGE FRAUD, PRONZY SCAMS FROM HARD MONEY LOANS, MORTGAGE FRAUD and CREDIT FRAUD. We were unaware of any of this taking place which apparently stated in XXXX. Our attorney and tax consultant instructed us to ensure we have secured property deeds, We revealed an embezzlement ring which, appear to include high ranking individuals. Due to security issues I will not release this information. We have attorney 's involved. As we continued to reviewed are credit bureau we later discovered fraud charges on our credit cards and bank accounts.It appears particular individuals directed the heads of particular companies to ensure we loose everything we have worked for. I testified for a XXXX XXXX XXXX client who was severely XXXX both on a local and national level and the state of Georgia Retaliated against my agency. The vandalism to my home, thefts to include death threats still continue. The attorney hired by the agency sold me out to cover others. My XXXX number was taken and THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO RELATE IT TO FRAUD BECAUSE I would n't agree to the COUNTER SETTLEMENT. I WILL FIGHT UNTIL EVERY PERSON INVOLVED IS CONVICTED!

Complaint: Dear sir or Madam : I am writing because I need your assistance seeking a resolution for unauthorized purchases on my American Express Serve Prepaid Card. I loaded {$500.00} XX/XX/XXXX and {$250.00} XX/XX/XXXX to take advantage of the up and coming online discounted merchandise after the Holiday season. I received a Fraud Alert directly to my cell phone XX/XX/XXXX inquiring did I recognize the attempted purchase at XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$170.00} I immediately responded indicating NO in fact, I sent 6 separate messages stating the attempted charge was NOT authorized. That same day XX/XX/XXXX I followed up the text messages with a call to American Express customer service. I explained apparently my card was lost because I did not have it in my possession and I did not attempt to make a recent purchase. The American Express agent advised there was numerous pending transactions on the account but may take a few days to complete. I immediately requested the American Express card to be cancelled. I was informed the card was reported lost, cancelled, a new one would be issued and I would receive a dispute form via email. I just needed to fill out the form accordingly and return within 10 business days. I received the Declaration of Fraud Form via email XX/XX/XXXX. I promptly returned the form XX/XX/XXXX answered all pertinent questions, and indicated the following purchases were unauthorized. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX amount {$69.00}, XX/XX/XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX amount {$23.00}, XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX amount {$34.00}, XX/XX/XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX ON amount {$110.00}, XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX amount {$63.00}, XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX amount {$120.00}. I am requesting unauthorized purchases of {$390.00} including but not limited to Fee for Foreign Transactions in the amount of {$10.00} and any other charges associated with these unauthorized purchases be refunded immediately. The XXXX charge in the amount of {$34.00} on XX/XX/XXXX was a recurring purchase also charged XX/XX/XXXX. I was able to resolve this discrepancy directly with the merchant. I am shocked and appalled American Express would have the audacity to send an electronic letter XX/XX/XXXX indicating and I quote Based upon our investigation we have determined that no error occurred and that transaction ( s ) in question was authorized Our financial institution ( s ) have hit absolutely rock bottom Logically am I to think there was a thorough investigation conducted all within 8 hours? Complaint: I APPLIED AND WAS APPROVED FOR AN AMERICAN EXPRESS DELTA PLATINUM CARD. THE CARD HAD A BONUS OFFER INCLUDED. THE OFFER WAS RECEIVE XXXX BONUS MILES AND XXXX MQM 'S WHEN YOU SPEND AT LEAST {$3000.00} IN THE FIRST 90 DAYS THAT THE ACOUNT IS OPEN. IN ADDITION RECEIVE A {$100.00} STATEMENT CREDIT IF YOU MAKE A DELTA PURCHASE WITHIN THE FIRST 90 DAYS. I MET THE SPEND THRESHOLD WITHIN THE FIRST BILLING CYCLE, WHICH WAS LESS THAN 30 DAYS. THE SPEND THRESHOLD WAS MET ON XX/XX/XXXX. AMERICAN EXPRESS HAS CONFIRMED THAT I MET THE REQUIREMENT AND ADVISED THAT THE BONUS OFFER WOULD BE CREDITED TO MY ACCOUNT WITHIN 6-8 WEEKS. IT HAS NOW BEEN OVER 10 WEEKS AND I HAVE RECEIVED A RESOLUTION FROM AMERICAN EXPRESS. I OPENED A CASE WITH THEM AND STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE. ON XX/XX/XXXX, A SUPERVISOR ( XXXX XXXX ID # XXXX ) ON PROMISED HE WOULD MANUALLY CREDIT THE BONUS OFFER IF IT WAS NOT CREDITED TO MY ACCOUNT BY XX/XX/XXXX. I HAVE CONTACTED THE COMPANY ABOUT 8-10 TIMES SINCE THAT DATE AND KEEP GETTING THE RUN AROUND. I HAVE BEEN HUNG UP ON AT LEAST 3 TIMES, NO ONE EVER CALLS ME BACK AND EVERY TIME I CALL I HAVE TO EXPLAIN THE SITUATION ALL OVER AGAIN TO THE NEW REPRESENTATIVE. I SPOKE TO XXXX ID # XXXX ON XX/XX/XXXX AND HE INDICATED THAT HE WOULD HAVE THE SUPERVISOR LISTEN TO THE XX/XX/XXXX CALL AND GIVE ME A CALL BACK WITHIN 48 HOURS. Complaint: I submitted a credit card application with American Express which was approved. The application required my physical home address. This is the same address which was included on the credit card application. Our mailing address for four different locations including my current address are forwarded a post office box. One credit card was delivered to my physical home address. I added three authorized users explaining to American Express that the additional cards could be forwarded to our post office box. Attached is a copy of a letter in which American Express changed my physical address and is requesting my physical address. I called the company several times requesting to speak with a supervisor. The supervisors never returned my call. American Express suspended my purchasing privileges.

Complaint: I closed my charge card with American Express ( here refer to as " XXXX ) within the 30 days time frame but XXXX failed to refund the annual fee to me. XXXX 's refund policy states as follows : " If an Annual Membership fee applies, we will refund this fee if you notify us that you are voluntarily closing your Account within 30 days of the Closing Date of the billing statement on which that fee appears. ". XXXX charged me {$550.00} annual fee on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and I closed my account on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, which is within the 30 days time frame. I called XXXX customer service four times regarding this refund. Every single time the representative told me that they will take care of it and the refund should be credited to my account within 48 hours. Unfortunately, I have not received any refund. I am asking CFPB to look into it and see what you can do to help.

Complaint: American Express reduced our credit limit lowering it to just over the purchase thus causing our credit rating to be affected even though we never missed a payment on our credit history. They said it was triggered it by something sent by XXXX. They said they had the right, but reducing to so near the current balance causes chances of problems or payments to cause adverse effects to the client. Thus the business practice why used to protect themselves can have a good credit score to turn bad because of a business decision that is typically auto done.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2017, I transferred XXXX Membership Rewards points into my XXXX XXXX account ( transfer partner of American Express ). I tried to book a ticket using these miles for myself that night and received an error message. I tried again later that night and received the same error message. I was then locked out of my XXXX XXXX account the following day. I contacted XXXX XXXX and received a response that my account was locked due to inconsistent activity. None of my activities were out of the ordinary and from doing some quick research, it seems that XXXX XXXX has been specifically targeting and locking accounts with membership rewards being transferred in. At this point, I can not get in contact with XXXX XXXX customer service as the only avenue of communication I have is an email address they provided me for account audit communication, which is unresponsive. I spoke with American Express customer service and they refuse to reverse or refund the transaction. American Express should be liable as this same issue is ongoing yet there is still no resolution from American Express regarding the abuse by the XXXX XXXX program. At this point, I am locked out of access to my XXXX XXXX XXXX points ( Equivalent to at least {$1000.00} USD ).

Complaint: I signed up for the American Express Platinum card back in XX/XX/XXXX and was approved. The reason for getting this card was for a airline trip in the spring ( I was going to use miles that I acquired with this offer ) The offer was for XXXX miles after {$3000.00} was spent + {$100.00} statement credit after booking a flight online. I met this obligation on XX/XX/17 for the miles and XX/XX/2017 for the {$100.00} statement credit. The terms stated that I would receive the miles 6 to 8 weeks after meeting the {$3000.00} threshold. It is now in the 10th week and I have not received anything. I have chatted with 3 different representatives from American Express and all I am told is they will launch an investigation and this will take 6 to 8 more weeks. This is unacceptable. How hard is it to see that I met my {$3000.00} goal and to give me my XXXX miles. I had to spend {$3000.00} within 3 months of opening the card, I did it in 3 weeks. The mileage credit was supposed to be credited 8 to 12 weeks after my first delta credit, it is 12 weeks today and I have still not received my credit. American Express could easily credit this but they fail to so. This is why I am turning to you.

Complaint: This is a new complaint following the first complaint ( # XXXX ), They did not provide the fact that I had many calls between them and myself while I was hospitalized fromXX/XX/XXXX- XX/XX/XXXX due to a major car accident, or that I had made " good faith payment '' on XX/XX/XXXX on both accounts which would stop the the collections calls, but how can collections called be stopped but a cancellation continue for late payment? The small micro amounts are the payments AE asked me to make to avoid further calls or actions- Also the enclosure submitted to you as a response to CFPB seems to contradict their statements in the letter addressed to myself, which I still have not recieved as of this date. None of the numbers, that were indicated in the Company 's response match up with the document provided in the response, - balances are not matching up and not documentations for the various payments and why requested by AE, its seems like like it was recently manufactured, since I have yet to received the response that was given to CFPB, even my company name is misspelled ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) when it should be XXXX XXXX XXXX, I just feel looking at the documentation submitted by AE need to reviewed by an Independent Audit ; I also feel I was penalized for reporting this complaint and that this is not the first questionable practice by AE- they previous was order to provide restitution to it customers ( I believe it was in XXXX, which they were sued and lost about 80 millions ). I also feel they should not combine my Personal Green card with my Business Card availability since my Personal is under my SSN, and my Business is under my TIN which is also a LLC ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) .I never authorize a " personal guarantee '' was informed that I was personally responsible for my LLC finances, nor is it any listed that I am in my CMA or terms and agreement. I believe this is another questionable tactic which enables AE to make someone " personally responsible '' with in the Company which circumvents the XXXX XXXX Laws. They also indicated that they adjusted my spending due to my FICO score in XX/XX/XXXX, when it was its highest at XXXX or XXXX I believe- so again it does not make sense what they submitted.

Complaint: Around the end of XXXX, I applied for an American Express delta gold card online. I was approved and upon approval, they gave me a digital card which the numbers were diff where as the digital version didnt have your delta sky miles number on it. So two months later after getting the physical card, I said lrts Use it. and they go declined so after I apply online then applied delta skymiles number called XXXX to put it on my card which they did.after all that, some XXXX XXXX transfers me to no XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX from XXXX. So after three min Id usually say to XXXX him off I said but I go can you repeat what you just said to long story short XXXX boy goes theres a question to verification of who I am. And this after temp card skymiles physical card no one called me no one wrote me a letter and god forbid I use constitution as something I go thats not legal. The affordable care act mandates ins companies to give a consumer thirty day notice if they will terminate their twelve month contract. Sure changed contract law so in a court of law my application comined with XXXX ending me physical card = contract. So now I hold to the physical card went to noteary got XXXX motorized proof I am who ya approved card for so XXXX goes XXXX XXXX cancels my card and never told me why. Thats legal have you ever heard of the intelligence identification protection act? When XXXX ever go approved actually cancel w/I bankruptcy being the deal breaker. I didnt charge XXXX dollar who needs tell me my acct terminated?

Complaint: I attended a XXXX XXXX XXXX promotional event in early XXXX of this year ( 2017 ). I did not choose to become a time share owner during the event, but I did sign up for a loyalty rewards program in correlation with American Express. It seems that the onsite personnel who sign you up for the XXXX Rewards Program card are XXXX employees and are not provided proper training on the actual features of the card. I believe that I was misled concerning several features of the Rewards Program card. First, the XXXX employee mentioned that by signing up for the card, I would receive " Gold '' status with XXXX ; however, I found out after signing up that this is only true for certain cards that have an annual fee and only applies to my card if I spend {$20000.00} in a calendar year. I was also led to believe that this card would not have any foreign transaction fees. I recently took a trip to XXXX and purposely used the card assuming that no foreign transaction fees would be charged. To the contrary, I was charged many fees adding up to {$22.00} or so. I called American Express to discuss this and, again, this turns out to only be a feature of certain Rewards program cards that have an annual fee associated with them and not for my particular card.
