Complaint: This is a medical bill that was 100 % covered by my insurance. It just showed up on my credit bureau, as the only negative account I have. I called the collection company. The company being, AMCOL SYSTEMS@XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX, SC XXXX. This company was informed of my insurance company being responsible for this medical bill. I called them over and over about pursuing the bill thru my insurance company. When I saw this bill in collections thru XXXX XXXX, I called the insurance company again and was given some very upsetting information. The agent at my insurance company said that Amcol Systems REFUSED TO RECEIVE THE DOCUMENTATION PROVING THAT I WAS COVERED AT THE TIME OF THIS MEDICAL EMERGENCY!!! I am very overwhelmed with this since I care dearly about my credit and this one bill has brought my score down over 20 points. I am talking to an attorney now. This is so wrong!!! I have recently lost my husband, had a XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am in a wheel chair, unable to drive so I have tremendous challenges both physically and emotionally. I am going to get the documentation myself and fax and mail it directly to the collection company. If this isn't resolved soon I will pursue legal council and file suit against AMCOL SYSTEMS.
