Complaint: Describe what happened so we can understand the issue ...
I did not give verbal and/or written permission for ALLY FINANCIAL to pull my credit report on XXXX XXXX, 2016. Per Federal Credit Reporting Act this is an ILLEGAL act to make an " Hard '' inquiry which decreased my credit score on my credit report. When asked to show me proof of authorization this company could not provide it. This inquiry needs to be deleted from my credit report.

Complaint: I paid my auto loan off in full via the lenders website by submitting an online payment which processed via ACH out of my checking account. Two days later I inquired as to when I would get the title and Ally XXXX informed me that it is " company policy '' that there is a holding period of ten days before they would release the title and then it would take 3-5 days to mail. That is a TWO week waiting period on my title when I paid in full. I would understand if I had written a personal check that there would be a clearing timeframe, but an ACH is an immediate payment. How is it legal for them to hold the title for 10 days? Reg CC has rules against holds being placed on funds via check, but there has to be some sort of ruling on release of title. If they have my funds, I should be able to demand my title.

Complaint: Ally Bank allowed someone to open an account in my name ( fraudulently ) without using my correct address. I would assume any reputable bank would have better protection measures in place to verify someone 's identity.
Ally ( after recognizing their mistake and after I notified them the issue ) continues to send correspondence to the wrong address.

Complaint: My auto loan is with Ally. I made a personal loan to pay them XXXX and not have to pay my car again till XX/XX/2017.i called and asked if I could do this. To the payments not the principal, they said yes. I tolded them not to any late fee or any other fee. Since then I have talked to XXXX people, because they say my next payment is due on XXXX 2017. Not XXXX. 2017. ..because they took out the late fees, plus some money from when my car had been repossessed, some while back. But that 's not what i asked for, or authorize. If not, i would have just made the payments month by month. Now after I 've been calling for 2months and spoken to XXXX people about this issue, they tell me the money they took can not be reversed. To put on my payments. No one wanted to be responsible for it. Try speaking to a manager during these 2months, they always answer me, that there is no manager at the moment. Iam so upset, because if I did this personal loan, to pay my car. ( Advanced ) is because I ca n't pay till XX/XX/2017.They lie to me, and just did what they felted like doing with my money. This has affected me so much. Ca n't sleep. Iam so sad, XXXX and very disappointed. Mad. Please let me know if you can help me. Thank you and God Bless

Complaint: I was using Ally Bank Bill pay service to pay the monthly rent for my apartment.
For the month of XXXX, XXXX and XXXX the rent has been paid using the Bill Pay. My account shows that money has been check has been delivered to the landlord and money debitted from my account. But my landlord is not accepting that money has been received. Finally I was put onto the eviction and I was told that I need to pay the month of XXXX 2016 rent with late fees? What 's going on? Who is right - Bank or this landlord. Today in the court this landlord said via his attorney that check has been sent to me via certified mail which I am yet to receive ... for more than 30+ days - i am showing the money has been debitted. I was out of country for almost 6.5 weeks so could n't follow with Ally Bank but they are saying follow up with the landlord. But the landlord is not willing to even talk - one needs to talk to the attorney. I end up paying late payment and unfortunately the original check money is also gone from my account. If money is debited from my account and check has been delivered but landlord is saying that they do n't have the money then where is the money?

Complaint: Deposits made at Ally are stated to be available as first {$200.00} next business day and the rest after. Regularly, I make deposits on the weekends. The availability notification ( email ) is not sent until Tuesday morning. Usually this email says some is available Tuesday ( although this is actually 2 business days ). This case had about {$700.00} ( XXXX checks ) deposited Sunday morning. Assuming they would at least be partially available Tuesday, I scheduled bill payments for Tuesday and Wednesday. I received an email Tuesday morning that multiple overdrafts occurred. Then I got an email that my deposit checks would be held for XXXX5 business days from this Tuesday. I called and they said in fact 5 business days from Tuesday, meaning that I made the deposit on XXXX and it would be available XXXX. The reasoning is " too many overdrafts ''.
My issue is that 1 ) I was as never notified that I 've had " too many overdrafts '' and fell into this category. It has never been this way. I have never had a bounced check. How many is " too many ''? Why 5 days instead of XXXX, in XXXX? Why 5 days from Tuesday, not the day the deposit as made? If the deposit availability was clearer, I would never have overdrafts but this cycle just continues.
2 ) the bank should notify me, at the latest, Monday, for a Sunday deposit if there will be a hold l, so that I can not schedule bill payments. This would prevent these overdrafts 3 ) the reason this check is on hold ( overdrafts ) is causing more overdrafts and thus continuing the cycle.
4 ) with this very long hold, there will likely be an overdraft every single day from now until the money is available. A {$25.00} fee each day for the next XXXX8 days, plus the returned payments from the loans/creditors. It will end up costing me more in fees than the original deposit and in the end I will again be negative and overdrafted from the fees, even after the deposits are made available.
All of this could have been prevented and been more fair if the bank had notified me that either my account was in this situation where desposits would be held or notified me in the first 24 hours of making the deposit that this would be the situation. Neither was done, and I assume it was in order to capitalize on the massive fees.
This entire practice is so very unfair. It is my money being held so long and at the bank 's discretion, which they deceptively practice. It continues the cycle of massive overdraft fees and making the bills I try to pay bounce.
This bank also practices processing all outgoing payments prior to all deposits for each day which maximizes their overdraft potential. This has left me with a positive balance for a day even though I ended up with overdraft fees. Again, very deceptive and maximizing these fees, in addition to putting me into an unnecessary category of " too many overdrafts ''.

Complaint: In XXXX XXXX, I leased new XXXX Chevrolet CRUZE. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I lost my employment and monthly income. I could no longer drive the car and could not make the monthly lease payments or automobile the car and could no longer pay the insurance payments. I contacted Ally and explained my situation and wanted to voluntarily turn in the car.
There reply was that I would need to pay the balance of the lease in the amount of {$2700.00} and then turn in the car. They wanted me to drive the car to Maryland. I once again stated that I could no longer drive. I stated this was not possible. On XXXX XXXX I once again contacted Ally and restated the circumstances and requested they pick up the car at my residence before XXXX XXXX when the insurance would expire. I next contacted Ally on XXXX, XXXX, and was told they were working on picking up the car and would contact me and let me know when the car would be picked up. As of today, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I have not been contacted,
