Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX Complaint # XXXX Response Date XX/XX/18 Issue is that I was charge a high fee of over {$14000.00} I call them and told them I disputed the high fee for deferred payment I had. They act I cant dispute the amount. I want the loan put on hold until the documents and a clear understanding is to the loan. XXXX XXXX XXXX did not resolve my issue with my complaint and when talking to them you get pass around from one person to another.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, XXXX XXXX informed me that my monthly payment for my Revised Pay As You Earn plan had increased from {$270.00} to {$510.00}. To date, I have not received any explanation as to why my payments almost doubled. I am in the same repayment plan and my salary has not exponentially increased. When I called XXXX XXXX and requested an explanation about how the payments were calculated, I was not provided with an explanation. I have also sent them an email requesting an explanation, but I have not received a response. I am now wondering whether any outstanding interest was capitalized at the time of my recertification ( even though I timely recertified ), causing an improper increase of my monthly payment amount. I also requested a lower payment, because I can not afford to pay almost double what I had been previously paying, but I was advised that {$510.00} is the lowest payment available to me at this time ( without seeking a forbearance, in which I am not interested ).

Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX is currently managing my loans. I have been in contact with them and on the phone every month since XX/XX/2017. My loans were being serviced by other companies before I transferred them to XXXX XXXX XXXX, and they continue to tell me that my loan payments from the old service companies " have to be processed '', but they have been telling me the same thing for 8 months now. I have made 120 on time qualifying payment, but most of them were to other service providers before I transferred to XXXX XXXX XXXX. The biggest problem for me is that have been family planning for years and setting up not to have to continue to pay on these loans, expecting them to be forgiven. Any help would be appreciated.

Complaint: My student loan was transferred from XXXX XXXX to American Education Services. I received a letter saying that the loan would be transferred. The day after that date I logged into the American Education Services webstie ( www.AESsuccess.org ) but I couldn't see anything, I contacted their customer service and was told it would take 72 hours, at most, for the information to be uploaded and that I should check back on XX/XX/XXXX. Today, on XX/XX/XXXX I tried to make another payment and still could not see my loan information. Again I contacted customer service, and again they could tell me nothing about my loan other than that they were working on it and that it would take until XX/XX/XXXX. When I inquired if that date was certain or if it might take longer the customer service rep basically responded with " it might take longer '' and that I was not the only person who had a loan transferred from XXXX XXXX to American Education Services.

Complaint: I try contacting XXXX via their online message regarding payback and qualifying payments for Public health forgiveness program. They never respond and never show proof of messages. If you call to talk to agent, there is no paper trail and calls last for such a long time it isn't possible to call with questions. In addition, information given during the call does not correlate with activity on my account. There is no holding the cust service agent accountable to my actual account.

Complaint: After graduating from XXXX University XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2006, with my XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, I began to repay my loan thinking I would eventually qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ) program. After working in a XXXX XXXX in XXXX for 7 years and making 84 payments ( out of 120 payments ) needed for the PSLF Program, I was told that I was in the " wrong '' repayment plan the whole time, and they would not be able to count these payments towards the PSLF. After I left the school district in XXXX, I came to XXXX XXXX and have been working in the XXXX XXXX for an additional 6 years. I have now paid 72 payments towards the PSLF Program. I am angry that XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX is not counting my time in XXXX towards my loan forgiveness, and have rejected my application. My husband is a XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and XXXX XXXX Veteran, and is unable to work. XXXX XXXX XXXX has since raised my payments to over $ 500/month. It is completely unaffordable. I have the time in and have spent thousands of dollars toward a program that THEY changed the guidelines for.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from XXXX XXXX indicating the total number of qualifying payments going toward my PSLF. This number is a complete MISCALCULATION. I called them immediately and asked them to review my file and they said to wait for the manual review. From XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX, I had contacted them 6 times asking for updates/status on the review process and every time they indicated that indeed it's still under review. Then, on XX/XX/XXXX, I talked to this rep who stated that my file was actually not under review and he will start the process for me. He did know why the previous reps told me that my file was under review. Then, from XX/XX/XXXX to present, I have contacted XXXX XXXX 5 times to ask for updates/status on the review process. Again every time, they say it's under review. I specifically asked to speak to their manager each time. I also suggested them to look at my file and they all agreed with the miscalculations, but stated that they can not do anything except to wait for the manual review to be completed. I have waited and waited. It has been over 1 year since this whole process started. I still haven't heard anything from XXXX. I'm frustrated that this whole process has taken this long and that the reps were giving false information to the borrowers. Please help.

'' In a later complaint, Complaint No. XXXX, my attempt to address the interest capitalization on Loan Sequences 1-3, 5, 6, and 9-11 failed, but the response explicitly acknowledged that it was " honoring the initial promise to reverse the interest capitalization effective XX/XX/2016 on loan sequences 4, 7, 8, and 12 ''. However, in looking at my account online, the interest capitalized on those four ( 4 ) loans has, in fact, NOT been reversed.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXXI went to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for about 2 years. I got a student loan to help me. I have been trying for nine years to get a decent payment to pay this loan back. My loans in the beginning was about 6 or 7 thousand dollars. Then I got a letter saying that my loans were divided into four loans at 6.8 % interest. I tried to consolidate, they said I couldnt because of the Direct loan. Im paying very high interest rates. Im getting nowhere, I owe around {$28000.00} and it just keeps going up. I got a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that if I didnt pay more money they were going to garish my wages. I called these people and ask about consolation, so they did that in XX/XX/XXXX this year, sent me a letter saying that I pay XXXX a month until XX/XX/XXXX. In between those times, I had to send my income tax return, check stub, all the documentation they ask for. Theyve sent me a letter every week saying they need this or that. So, I went online to XXXX I found out they were fake, so I dont have a clue as what I need to do. I work with the XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. since XX/XX/XXXX. I was hoping I could get loan forgiveness with XXXX XXXX after 10 years. Im XXXX years old, Ill be on Social Security in 2 more years. Ive never made a lot of money all the years Ive been working, I just dont know if I can pay my bills and most of my check going forward student loans. All I would like to do, have a payment that I can afford and pay every month because theres no way I can get this paid off before something happens to me. Thanks, for listening

Complaint: I had received a XXXX XXXX for my XXXX XXXX at XXXX. When it came time to certify, I had my certification in on time, except I didnt have my social security number at the top of the page. They still were able to file it in my file. I was given an additional 30 days to send in recertification. My paperwork was in prior to the 30 day notice and before the grant was converted, but the grant was still converted. I have spent countless hours on the phone and filling out documents trying to get everything straightened out, with zero success. XXXX and the ombudsman line give zero help whatsoever. I would greatly appreciate any help you can give.

Complaint: This account was removed from my credit report, but has recently been reported again as a new debt. Historically, there were payments made to three separate entities for this same account, but none of those payments are recorded in their system. I contact XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX in XX/XX/2018 to inquire, but they couldn't find me in the system. I was given the name of a law firm to discuss the matter with and upon speaking to them, they have now sent me a collection letter. These companies partake in predatory lending practices. I have requested contracts and other paperwork for my account, but they can't provide those items. These same companies were included in a federal lawsuit for the same reasons that I am experiencing and were ordered to dissolve all accounts. I would like that information.
