Complaint: i recieved and email today by a supposed attorney trying to collect on a debt I do not owe and have never done business with this company. They are threatening to arrest me and garnish my wages. I am receiving this email at my company email whch is not allowed by my employer and is jeopardizing my job. See email below. Complaint: Good day, We were in the process of refinancing our now mortgage, the closing Attorneys did a title search and found that we have a lien on our property from XXXX XXXX. In 2009, we filed XXXX, the XXXX Lawyer didn't let us know, when we finished in court, that the bankruptcy didn't cover the mortgage. That was 9 years ago. I contacted the XXXX Lawyer and he told me he doesn't have my file any more. I also, contacted the payoff department at XXXX XXXX, they couldn't find any mortgage amount with my name and social security number. Our closing Attorney sent a lien release request to a XXXX XXXX XXXX, who is the XXXX XXXX / XXXX with XXXX XXXX. They will not release the lien, even though we are not responsible to pay the mortgage?? We have not made one payment on the loan in 8 years?? No one has ever contacted us about paying the mortgage. So, that is where we are, as of today. We are just looking for a little help, on what to do about this lien. Thank you, XXXX.

Complaint: I took out a loan at XXXX XX/XX/2012. i ended up closing my bank account and forgot all about paying it. so recently within the last 2 weeks somebody from XXXX in XXXX XXXX contacted & harassed me stating that i needed to pay this outstanding balance or they were going to come and arrest me. The lady was very rude. She said her name was XXXX and than it changed to XXXX. She repeatedly called my cell, home phone, and work phone. I asked how do i go about taking care of this matter. And her response was that i needed to take care of this matter today otherwise they would take me to jail and i would sit there until the court was able to hear my case. Then she said that i owed {$1100.00} if i do pymt. Or {$600.00} if i pay it off within 2 days, or {$420.00} if i pay it today. I said there 's no way to pay this today but i 'll see what i can do. Than she lowered it down again to {$410.00}. She stated i could put this on a prepaid credit card and call her back with the credit card number. I told her i would call her back. It all just seemed so fishy so i called XXXX and they told me not to pay and that somebody would get back to me. The persons number that was calling me is phone number XXXX. Once again this lady was beyond rude. My complaint is against the bill collector NOT XXXX.
