Complaint: Towards the end of XX/XX/2019, I had needed funds to prepare for Hurricane Dorian. The hurricane actually hit our city which my home and other relatives in the area. The funds were necessary for the preparation, cleanup and repair of damages experienced during this storm. This was the main reason as to why I could not maintain the {$20000.00} balance requirement of this savings product. I had pleaded with TD Bank to provide some leniency in their " monthly maintenance fees '' that were applied to my TD Bank Select Savings Rate Bump account for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/2019. After four phone conversations, six in person interactions and a discussion with their social media relations team, I had enough and decided that their response was not only inadequate, but truly spiteful. Despite being a TD Bank customer for some time and had a sizeable amount of funds in the account in that time, there was not an ounce of sincerity or kindness in their actions towards me. Time after time again, the bank refused to waive the fees and actually ridiculed my decision to take out these funds to repair damage caused by the hurricane. Two fees are in question with this complaint : 1. XX/XX/2019 : a fee of " {$14.00} '' described as a " Maintenance Fee ''. 2. XX/XX/2019 : a fee of " {$14.00} '' described as a " Maintenance Fee. '' The bank provided no timely guidance to me as ( 1 ) how to switch over to a different product that would have lower minimum balance requirements ; ( 2 ) provide any guidance for how to refund or waive these " maintenance fees '' and ( 3 ) failed to assist with resolving my concerns, despite numerous attempts of reaching out to them.

Complaint: My husband and I are both minorities and have been loyal customers to TD bank for a number of years. The branch on XXXX XXXX and XXXX in XXXX, PA has always shown some form of discrimination against us whenever we use the drive through services. On every single encounter, we are not served in the order we arrive, we are always asked for extra verification and information that isnt required of neighboring clients that arrive after us ( that happen to be XXXX ), and our wait time is always between 15-20mins for simple transactions. We never have issues at any of the other branches we go to. This branch needs to seriously reevaluate its employees and review its discrimination policies, especially to those who work the drive through area.

I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me, or the payment was not applied as fast as expected. I check my bank account and noticed that you deducted the money out of my checking account that on the month that you marked me late on my credit report.

Complaint: All of my retirement money was rolled over to a XXXX XXXX 5 Year Fixed Annuity. A TD Customer Service Representative ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) at the TD Bank located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, SC XXXX ( Brach # XXXX ) told me that there were no surrender charges for this product, it would gain five percent interest and the money can be taken out at any time. The amount gained from this investment product as well as the surrender charges were not disclosed to me in written form. Further, I was not given copies of these documents. After giving my case documents to my son, he had reached out to the Group Head of US Retail ( TD Bank ), Mr. XXXX XXXX. He referred the case to Mr XXXX XXXX who provided a letter and evidence thereof that ( 1 ) an adequate and complete suitability review of this product was not in line with my initial understanding of the product, ( 2 ) TD Bank gained as a result of this product sale and ( 3 ) not only was I to lose in this transaction, but no investigation of the agent was conducted.

Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/2019 I signed a retail installment contract to finance a new XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Amount financed XXXX - 3.99 % APR - 72 months ) through TD Auto Finance. The deal structure contained a trade with XXXX negative equity for a vehicle my wife and I have financed through XXXX, I left the dealership without taking delivery of the vehicle and with the paperwork to have my wife sign the title to the XXXX over and go through with the deal. My wife refused to sign the paperwork, so I called the dealer to ask if they could flat cancel the deal prior to funding the deal with the bank on XXXX/XXXX/2019. On XXXX/XXXX/2019, I spoke to the general manager of the dealership and was notified the deal was flat canceled and the payment ( check ) to XXXX XXXX for the trade was canceled as well.I received a statement from TD Bank on XXXX/XXXX/2019 notifying me that my payment was due on XXXX/XXXX/2019. I called TD Auto Finance and was routed to their dealer management department which I provided my complaint that this was supposed to be flat cancelled and I don't actually have the vehicle they're asking me to pay for. TD Auto Financed informed me that they work with a network of dealers, will have to talk to the dealer, and that they don't have responsibility to monitor whether every deal is credible because they're essentially just buying the contract the dealer executed. I've talked to the dealer multiple times between XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX/XXXX/2019 and have been told that the bank should have flat canceled the deal, we did flat cancel the deal and we will call the bank and straighten it out. I have also talked to TD Auto Finance multiple times and they've told me that the dealer wants to work with me to a resolution, and that this isn't their problem, they'll hit my credit if I don't make my payment within 30 days of the due date.

Complaint: This is in regards to a Target RED card.I called and spoke to 4 different people trying to cancel this card. In XX/XX/2019, I went online and paid the balance off for the credit card and asked to close the account. I had a flood in my condo and was not able to live there for two months. I had my mail held and paid off my debts while displaced. Now we have returned and I have a statement from Target that although I paid the balance there was a late fee that has compounded from {$7.00} to {$150.00} ( three months time ). Today, XX/XX/2019, I called customer service asked to cancel the card, clearly it had not been back in XX/XX/XXXX, and asked who I could speak to about these additional fees unrelated to any merchandise purchase. I was bounced to four different phone reps - all who said they can't cancel the card. I repeated the same request to cancel this card ( to stop the fees accumulating ) and to speak to someone about the fees. Each time they said no to closing the account and they would not be able to cancel the fees. Mostly I thought it was unethical for them to refuse to cancel the card to stop the accumulation of NEW fees while I dispute the old fees. The last persons name I was given as a " manager '' I could call back because no managers were " on the floor '' was XXXX XXXX at XXXX

Complaint: I deposited two checks in my account both for the same amount of {$2300.00} but two different days. One on XX/XX/2019 and another on XX/XX/2019. I received these checks selling college textbooks to an online site that buys them called XXXX. When i deposited the first check it was XX/XX/2019 and it was put on hold for a while and was released to me today XX/XX/2019 but when i went into the branch i spoke with a lady named XXXX i think at the branch in XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX. She helped me and was very rude and prejudice. I guess she believes it was XXXX because i have two checks from the same company for the same amount so when i went in to withdraw she contacted the fraud department and put another hold on the funds that were already made available for me earlier today XX/XX/2019. I dont understand why she would do that is there anything you can do to help me? Ive been waiting weeks now for these funds to be available to me and now shes put another hold on my account

Complaint: On Thursday, XX/XX/2019 I received a call from TD bank stating that someone tried to deposit money into my account and my account will be locked until I go into a bank and open a new one. That was all the information I was ever given, the amount and branch and name of the person were withheld from me ( I was not expecting a deposit and told them so ). That following Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX, I went in to the XXXX TD bank ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX, XXXX XXXX FL ) and opened a new checking account. My previous checking account was not closed, and I was not granted online access to the new account. On Friday, XX/XX/XXXX I received a deposit into the old account from a client that mistakenly deposited into it instead of my new account. I called the TD bank fraud department and spoke to XXXX, on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX transferred the funds but was unable to close the old account, he told me to contact them the next day to close out the old account, he also expressed to me that it was fine as long as it did not happen again. I called TD on Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX and closed out my old account. Two days later they sent out a letter stating that my checking account will be closed as of XX/XX/XXXX. I do not understand why my account was closed, I have followed all proper procedures and brought them a lot of business. I do not understand why I am suffering consequences for THEIR mistake of leaving my old account open. I updated all of my clients with the new account number, due to a simple error I will now be unable to conduct legitimate business through what once was my favorite bank to work with. If my account is not restored I will definitely recommend any clients I do business with to stop banking with TD as they do not have their customers in mind, and blame the consumer for oversights made by the bank itself.

Complaint: I was improperly charged egregious overdraft fees in the amount of {$210.00} overall from TD Bank. This started on XX/XX/XXXX when TD charged me a overdraft fee of {$70.00} when I had money reflecting in my available balance. This bank uses deceptive practices to maximize the amount of overdraft fees they can charge. TD bank blames their system for not accurately reporting the correct amount of balance available. This is false advertisement and unethical behavior for such business to practice. This violates my consumer protection laws.
