Complaint: I had a auto loan issued by Sovereign Bank and they sold it to Santander. Now Santander is reporting the account illegally reporting 90+ day lates month after month since the charge off date and have it listed as a 240 month loan. This was a car loan and car loans are n't 240 months just further confirming that they do n't even have the correct information to report this. I have tried multiple times disputing through the bureaus to no avail and have been ignored in demanding that these companies provide all the documentation showing they have it and are reporting correctly. Please help I tried to go through the proper channels and have been brushed aside.

Complaint: My loan documents clearly state that as the loan was opened with a primary loan there are no annual fees, This is at least the 3rd time now that Santander Bank attempts to charge me a {$50.00} fee which then causes me to have to spend hours explaining to them that my loan should not have a fee.

Complaint: hi Bank Santander reported " account risk '' for the XXXX accounts to " XXXX XXXX '' credit reporting company. Subsequently, other banks that I held bank personal accounts, credit cards, IRAs, XXXX accounts terminated my accounts. Now I have to open new accounts, but I have a hard time to do so, because XXXX keeps issuing " account risk '' for my ID.
The problem is with bank Santander / Sovereign, I would like the information about " account risk '' to be removed from my file due to the following reasons : 1. I am a joint signor on the accounts, but I never performed any operations with this accounts. I did not receive any statement or information from the bank about these accounts, even though they have my correct address.
2. I am not the owner of the company that owns these accounts and I have a limited liability for these accounts.
3. The bank never gave me any information regarding any unpaid fees or any problems.
4. The bank never gave me a chance to correct the situation and pay the fees or any other losses.
5. The negligence of Santader bank causes me stress and I have troubles to open any other bank account.
Contribution ref # XXXX & # XXXX that " XXXX XXXX '' received, for the accounts # XXXX and # XXXX.
Regards XXXX XXXX

Complaint: XX/XX/2015, I opened a Money Market Account with Santander Bank and was told by XXXX different bank managers that the account would earn .90 %. Each month I have logged on to the bank 's web site ( which has continually advertised .90 % ), to deposit additional monies to that account. When I received tax information regarding the interest earned for 2015, I began to question whether I had in fact been getting .90 %. I spoke with the local branch manager and was told that .90 % was a promotional rate, that I received for an unspecified amount of time, and now this account was earning .40 %. At no time was I told this was a promotional rate, nor was I told that the .90 % rate would apply for a limited time only. I could not find any information to that effect on their web site. In fact, Santander has continued to offer the same .90 % rate all this time. I feel that this is unfair and deceptive advertising. I would not have put my money into their money market account had I known the rates would change at an arbitrary point in time unknown to me. Furthermore, at no time was I given access/information as to the actual interest rate the account received. I feel that they were not clear in their business practices and they solicited my business under false pretenses.

Complaint: I have a home equity loan with Santander Bank. The loan was in XXXX my name and my husband who In XXXX is my ex husband. The house is only in my name since the divorce. I was and continue to make all payments. In XXXX, my ex declared bankruptcy and was told by bankruptcy lawyers I would not be impacted in any way. He was granted a discharge effective XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. Santander shut off my auto payment process to make auto pymts from my checking acct which did n't allow me to get an interest rate discount. I was told to try again in a year or so. I 've been told several other times I could not get this service and discount because of my ex husband 's situation. I think it 's an unfair practice that I ca n't get this auto payment service and discount based on my payment history and credit status.

Complaint: Santander makes it impossible to close a bank account with them. I attempted to close my bank account by sending an email to Santander requesting my account to be closed, however they stated that they can not do this via email and would have to call. I then called them on their banking phone number and they told me that the " Bank Account Closing Department '' was closed, despite it listed as being open 7 days a week on their website here : XXXX Not closing my account after repeated requests is a violation of consumer protection laws, and I am now demanding that Santander close my account, unless they want to be taken to court for willful negligence. This is the worst experience that i 've ever had with a banking institution, and with these practices, I do n't see how they have n't been sued already.

Complaint: I opened an overdraft line of credit in 2010 for an annual fee of {$50.00}. The fee is billed each XXXX. This year I decided the ( LOC ) annual cost was n't worth the annual fee. On XXXX XXXX I paid off the balance on the LOC. On XXXX XXXX I went to the bank branch and told them I no longer wanted the LOC. I was told that I had to submit my request in writing. I later called customer service and explained that I no longer wanted the LOC. I then received a LOC statement charging me the {$50.00} annual fee and some residual interest ( {$4.00} ) from when I paid off the LOC. I called the bank 's customer service and was told that I had to pay off the LOC before they could close it.
