Complaint: I was called by Quicken loans because I had used their mortgage calculator online. I told them I couldn't talk because I was busy with my daughters, they asked when I could talk, we agreed on a time, they continued to question me, I informed them I was just playing around with numbers, I was not sure if I wanted to buy a house, and if I did it wasn't going to be for at least 6 months. They asked for my social security number, I asked if they were doing an application, they said no, I gave them my number, and within an hour or so I got a notification that they had approved me from a loan, and one from XXXX saying that I had a new hard inquiry. They did not have my permission to pull my credit report.

Complaint: Quicken loans was working with me in a home loan for over 6 months. People working with me in quicken loans where Mr XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), and the person of claims. This company should be investigated. They gatter all my paperwork needed, XXXX, birth certificated of my kids, bank account information with statements, we did a VA amendment to purchase contract along with the home owners XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. Pest inspection was done by XXXX XXXX, Appraisal was done by a real state and va aprraiser name XXXX. I was approved by underwriting of quicken loan ( XXXX XXXX ) .Quicken loans ask me for XXXX dollars deposit that it will be included in my va home loan. The office of attorney XXXX XXXX, Tel # XXXX ( XXXX ) attorney of home owners XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX local pastors. Attorney office contact me because they have all the paperwork ready given by quicken loans for closing in the home, attorney give me a date for closing for XX/XX/2018 @ XXXX XXXX. The same day of the closing on the home ms XXXX XXXX call me and told me that they run my paperwork through va underwriting and they cancel the loan. I call mr XXXX XXXX after i spoke with XXXX XXXX and he said that everything was ready for closing but there was a change in the money that I have to bring the closing date. I inform what i spoke with ms XXXX and he said that to his understanding everything was good and he will speak to XXXX XXXX. Then I call XXXX and she said there is nothing that she can do. That was an Va underwriting decision, because they see me as a risk. I ask for my money back of XXXX dollars and claims told me ; they can not give me the money because the XXXX dollars exceed the money they spend. I read reviews of the web about quicken loans and some people where ask for the deposit of XXXX dollars and they never received the money back. Please i want my money back, and please investigate quicken loans. They are giving people false information. They need to paid me back the deposit of XXXX dollars and shred all my paperwork along with birth certificates and bank accounts that they have. Scam watch. Sincerely Us XXXX Veteran.

Complaint: I am a first time home buyer. I have been shopping around with some banks. Yesterday, I received a fully executed contract and my partner asked for me to check out some rates ; and I XXXX it.
The first place I registered with was with Quicken Loans, and I received a call within seconds. It was a woman saying, i'm from Quicken Loans. Next thing I know i'm passed to another person ; and he starts to pitch me. Within minutes he processed my credit and I had never consented to this. I just wanted to hear what rates they are quoting today for me to chose where I would like to lock in my rates with.
This is such a sensitive matter b/c running my credit impacts my score and I need the highest score possible score to get the lowest possible rate. I am so XXXX upset because I had no idea what was really going on and I worked in finance for most of my career. As soon as he told me my credit score I was like : " wait, you ran my credit? '' Whatever quicken loans is doing is so predatory and it needs to change.

Complaint: I have had 2 appraises done on the property and 100 % everything including size and work required was 100 % different in both reports, last one wanted a electrical inspection but 1st said there was no issues, almost nothing stayed the same between the 1st and 2nd report done, quicken refuses to have it redone by a 3rd party for any verification or cover the inspection for electrical that was request by 2nd. They refused to do anything about it.
on the deposit they made me place for XXXX and refuse to give back. im sure that upon review of the tape it will clearly show that I asked about this and I was told THIS IS A CONSENT TO DO BUSINESS further it was stated that THIS IS 100 % APPLIED TOWARDS YOUR LOAN. Complaint: Initial offer loan closing contained figuires that was not pointed out at closing and not noticed until the recent amortizstion sent to us through a response from XXXX through a complaint through CFPB. So, I beg that my case against us in XX/XX/XXXX for the initial closing issues that were dismissed due to XXXX and Quicken not clearing up the untruth of the loan and its misrepresentation of property description and values of assets at the XX/XX/XXXX hearing. I did agree to have Quicken Loans to send an attorney of their choosing and I said that we had our own homeowners insurance company. What I did not notice, or was not aware of st signing or pointed out to because of a very thick bounded contract loan ; asking to check on the property description, the attorney assured me that the two lots were not included, which apparently still was used to fraudulently keep us in litigation for over eight years. Quicken and all XXXX demanded, even with our property description recorded with the correct lots involved, were able to destroy us by demanding to court by a cover sheet on foreclosure papers that two adjacent lots were included on the loan. We had told XXXX XXXX, still an employee with Quicken, appraisal showed the other lots 7 and 8 that we had already told XXXX XXXX that we would not do the loan if they were going to include lots 7 and 8. The closing attorney assured us that the lots were not included. So, attorney XXXX XXXX mediation meeting XXXX showed a place on a page very hidden at the top of a center page that Attorney XXXX was sent to us to point out that the two lots were added on some description line hidden and apparently their attorney was not made aware of ; and the attorney did not recognize that Quicken had put our house on the lots as assets of over {$200000.00} and another property that we had on XXXX XXXX XXXX SC as the vacant acre as being over {$200000.00} as assets that was both ridiculously over their value especially the vacant lot. Apparently the fraudent figures were done to give us a loan that we apparently should not have even able to acquire this loan if the correct appraisal figuires and land values were not changed and manipulated and fixed to cover the extra lots if anything came up for the loan to be in Quickens favor figuring no one ( as it worked for eight years ) to not look at the contract to see that the assets and liabilities were manipulated with fraudulent amounts to make it look like we should have been able to afford the loan. Then the next matter is that Quicken, after complaining through CFPB has an employee to be honest after my attorney has fought with just trying to get the simple truth that lots 7 and 8 were not in the loan that XXXX demanded was on the loan on the XX/XX/XXXX foreclosure papers, all we needed was Quicken to correct the error, which should have taken a week at the most, instead also Quicken withheld the evidence and knowledge at the XX/XX/XXXX mediation meeting saying their representative couldnt make it, but there are conference calls and knowledge should have already been documented to be ready for the meeting and handled by a legal partner or at least in the next following weeks, to clear up the wrong doing. Instead it takes eight years to have someone with Quicken to tell the truth about the property. Now that the initial judge was not told the truth at the first hearing that the contract was not handled or filled out correctly but XXXX won that, by Quicken not admitting the truth when we needed it, not given an answer by XXXX of a payoff amount to SC Help to help us keep our loan, we have been sent through eight years of stress and all was because of shady procedures and we still after the truth is in writing, we cant get a house without a lender letter or an apartment which cost twice as much as a home would cost us through SC HELP. But our escrow on the amortization for property taxes per XXXX, I keep everything, so at least 4 property taxes, were listed as being paid by XXXX on the amortization that is a part of suing us for money that had taxes that are fraudently written down for taxes that we paid and have the stamped paid receipts of paying after the dates that XXXX made up that they paid those taxes. Also, XXXX had our loan and PMI and Homeowners and property taxes being taken out, but XXXX XXXX sent us a letter that the homeowners insurance had lapsed and I also have the check stub of the XXXX. Dollars we had to pitch out. So, being that there are found errors of amounts we have evidence of that has been added to a ridiculous amount of money that we are suppose to owe, our entire amortization of our loan has to be redone and shown proof of all fees and accountability of all charges, which means late charges would change due to errors and I would like to have our credit report foreclosure expunged of the XXXX XXXX XXXX short sale. Because of Quicken not clearing the matter up and being in litigation and being told to get ready to move because you are going to lose your home based on lies and non conforming to the governments buyout saving peoples homes. XX/XX/XXXX, agreement to help people save their homes, low pay and XXXX XXXX equaled no pay is due to our credit issues, husbands bills, high interest rates due to the withholding of critical evidence not once when legally asked, but twice legally specifically askef to answer the simple question of the two lots that XXXX was alleging that they owned ; and all judgements should be covered since this tied up our only assets of the land that had no loan, that could have been sold and our other land on XXXX since the mediation meeting upset us of XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, told us they would unclaim the land, give us a XXXX dollars and take our house, had my husband not to be able to work and we had to lose an acre of land due to our credit report. Otherwise, we could have gotten money to tie us over until he was able to go back to work. We just want to have our home, have our credit restored by paying off the short sale in the judgement when my husband had XXXX, waiting on XXXX to work and then XXXX and then back to XXXX and XXXX didnt work so an ablation has worked so far. Now I have XXXX and not to be stressed. XXXX will have update soon before court in XX/XX/XXXX. 8 and 1/2 years of non called for stress and financial and physical, mental ; and time to not live normal and enjoy grand kids. You dont get those years back. One hospital bill XXXX. Sure we outway what a decent mortgage payment would and should have been with bad credit interest rate and medical bills and having to redo an entire room of black mold and had to rent until that was fixed. One car transmission went out. Etc.

Complaint: Enquired about a loan on XX/XX/18 with XXXX XXXX. We were comparing loan quotes for myself and my significant other at the time, now husband. We were unmarried at the time of my discussion with the loan officer and I was told that we could not both be on the loan even though it was my intent to apply jointly. I was told that if he wanted to contribute to the down payment we could complete a gift letter and put him on the title, however, he could not be added to the mortgage.
Still to this day I am receiving calls and texts from Quicken Loans. I have asked not to be contacted any more several times now. I had to respond to Quicken Loans texts with " STOP '' on three different occasions which was supposed to stop them from texting me, however, it continued.

Complaint: On XX/XX/18 I inquired about information relating to the home buying process. I provided my name, email, and telephone number to Quicken Loans. At XXXX on XX/XX/18 I received a call from XXXX XXXX associated with Quicken Loans on a recorded line.
I was asked if I wanted to give permission to do a hard inquiry on my credit report and I replied that I did not give permission for that, and I am not interested in continuing the process as I was just looking for information.
On XX/XX/18 a hard inquiry was added to my credit report by XXXX. On XX/XX/18 I contacted XXXX XXXX with Quicken Loans via email at XXXX stating I would be filing a complaint due to a hard inquiry done without permission and my specific instructions not to do so. I received no response. I am awaiting a response from Quicken Loans.

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: Spoke with the representative from Quicken Loans around XX/XX/2018, she verified the amount that was owed for XX/XX/2018, which was about {$38.00}. She also explained why and told me she could take the payment over the phone, however I did not have the funds. Doing this time XX/XX/XXXX was owed and XX/XX/XXXX was late. I made a call again to confirm because I needed to make a payment over the phone. This time is was an EXTREMELEY DIFFERENT CALL. I was told I could not pay XX/XX/XXXX and they need all three months and they sent an intent to foreclose letter and the amount will need to be paid XXXX XXXX. I question when was the letter sent out because today is XX/XX/XXXX. After some research this was an old letter she spoke of and also our home is located in a disaster area after Hurricane Harvey, but I was told that this didn't affect us because we didn't start getting behind until recently and something else must of happened. We were also told that were now 4 months behind because " we know XX/XX/XXXX '' may be late as well although that payment is not due yet. I attempted to explain to a female who said she was in the executive office who was not any help at all as I attempted to explain what we could pay base on what we have which is pay the XX/XX/XXXX right away so that this did not affect our credit rating. Then take care of the XX/XX/XXXX payment by XX/XX/XXXX. Then the XX/XX/XXXX by the end of the month of XX/XX/XXXX, this was not satisfactory and the person stated if you would just not interrupt and let me explain it doesn't work like that. She also stated that this would not be a problem if I just paid what was owed when it is due and their would not be a problem. Quicken seems to have changed the dynamics of their customer service and hired sub par collections representative off the streets who are not properly trained. These individuals were rude, unhelpful and disrespectful for the most part. As it depends on who I was talking to, after the first representative the calls became worst and so did the individual person 's demeanor and customer service skills. As an alternative, I have sent hardship documentation via fax. We have no intention of having our home foreclosed on. We are also requesting that the late payment be removed from our credit files and apply the disaster indication to our account. Finally, I am a federal civilian military employee and except to be treated with dignity and respect just as all people should.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 at XXXX XXXX, I received a voicemail from a woman identifying herself as " XXXX '' from Quicken Loans, my mortgage lender. In her message she specifically identified herself as a " debt collector '' and said that she was attempting to collect on a debt and that any information I provided would be used to that end. She then advised me to call XXXX and choose option 3 to speak to a member of her team about this matter. At first I thought I was being phished, as Quicken Loans sent me an email just this week informing me that my mortgage payment for this month cleared on XX/XX/2018. However, when I retrieved my mortgage statement to contact the company directly, I noticed that the customer service number on the statement matched the one that was left on the voicemail. I called Quicken Loans this morning, XX/XX/2018 at approximately XXXX XXXX to clarify what this was about. I spoke with a representative named XXXX XXXX who informed me that although her records showed one of their staff had indeed called me yesterday, her records indicated that the purpose of the call was to get me to " provide feedback '' on my Quicken Loans experience which, up until now, had been extremely positive. She confirmed that my account is current and that there is nothing in her records indicating that I have ever missed or been late with a payment. I told XXXX that I did not approve of these deceptive practices regarding my finances and that I wanted to file a complaint. She asked if I wanted to have their researchers investigate the matter and I said yes, but said that unless they had recorded the original encounter then they would be wasting their time.
