Complaint: Century 21 Mortgage have a mortgage service center call PHH Mortgage that handles all their Mortgage. In around, 2010 I was delinquent on my Mortgage and they gave me a government program with a 2 % interest remodification and at the end of the the tax year I was sent a XXXX with around {$100000.00}. After I was paying my Mortgage on time for a while I was sent a letter with XXXX of checks I had sent saying the amount for mortgage has now change and I need to get in touch with the mortgage lawyer and and see how much I need to pay to be current I was tolded by the lawyer {$16000.00} of which I had about {$6000.00} money sent back by the mortgage company and being delayed in the mail. The mortgage company decided to work with me to become current sent all the document with the correct principal and amount we would pay monthly. We setup a separate account and wait for the direct withdrawal of the new mortgage to my surprise money sat in the account for XXXX months when we call the mortgage company that told us that their was an error on their part and they short the principal {$100000.00} which can only mean they are trying to charge me for the {$100000.00} they had already got credited for. I tried getting it resolved but the company kept changing the agents that I dealt with in the early years of the mortgage, so its hard to track to see when the figures increased and decreased on account of errors of numbers so now my mortgage principal is {$100000.00} over in valve and company refuse to remove the error so we can get our montly payment back on track.

Complaint: PHH the previous servicer of the FHA mortgage loan I had on my residence provided a payoff statement for the mortgage which was the principal plus 110 days of interest. The payoff was made on XXXX XXXX 30 days prior to when the scenario PHH provided was to expire which was XXXX XXXX. It is now XXXX XXXX and PHH via their agents on the phone state they are not returning the extra interest and are making varied excuses from the reason they charge 60 days in arrears, which is still half of the amount charged, to the reason that they do n't collect interest FHA does and I need the FHA to refund me the surplus even though they are the originator and servicer. Also communicating with their conveyance department is impossible. When I have to key in my loan information it takes over 1h to get through and they do n't accept emails. AS I have no recourse I am now reaching to the CFPB.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, a series of unfortunate banking events led to my mortgage payment being deducted form my checking account XXXX. The servicer ( PHH Mortgage Services ) was not willing to help recsend a payment and the Bank suggested that my only course of option was to stop payment on XXXX of the duplicates. I did so as my family would not have had enough money to survive. In XXXX, I made a payment to PHH by phone and using this same checking account. The representative assured me that the payment had gone through just fine as usual. In XXXX, I was informed that I was now behind on my mortgage as this payment did not show up. This is when the trouble began. Through various demands for payment and forced " re-payment plans '', I have given PHH almost {$22000.00} in the past year and am still being sent past due notices. I 've now been sent a " right to cure notice '' demanding another {$5000.00} plus before XXXX. Since my normal mortgage payment is around XXXX monthly, a years worth of payments would only be {$15000.00}. I have no idea how I am still behind in my payments and can not seem to get out of this cycle. This has caused a great deal of distress in my family and has caused me to get dangerously behind on other bills ( student loans, car payments ) as well. Most recently, I responded to a late notice by paying the amount asked for ( {$3400.00} ) by the date it was asked for ( XXXX ). PHH took the payment. The payment came out of my bank account. Two weeks later I received a notice that my account had been referred to an attorney for foreclosure. This was an awful thing to read. PHH initially claimed that they had no record of the notice demanding the {$3400.00} and that I had not paid enough so they had returned my payment (? ). After two days of arguing my case, the notice was found and I repaid the {$3400.00} and was taken out of foreclosure. This was a large mistake made on their end and I ca n't help wondering what other large mistakes are being made at PHH Mortgage Services. I 've gotten nowhere in my attempts to talk this through with them.

Complaint: I made the decision to purchase a home and my realtor suggested PHH Mortgage Broker ; I should have researched the matter but I did not and agreed to use them. They have made the whole process harder than it needs to be and have repeatedly asked for information that had already been provided. The close has been scheduled three times and each time the underwriter has comes back with more requirements. Instead of having an open line of communication it is one way ; the whole process is terrible and while I know things have changed PHH Mortgage is a hard company to deal with that does nothing to help the customer. I reached out to another company, XXXX XXXX and they were much more helpful but unfortunately for me I have only XXXX options walk away from the house XXXX a cash offer is on the table ) or continue with the bad choice of PHH Mortgage. I want to ensure this does not happen to anyone else. Research the mortgage broker/company!

Complaint: I typically overpay my mortgage. I run XXXX months ahead of my payment. PHH Mprtgage has be two months ahead in XXXX 2015, then their accounting went crazy. My payment is {$1200.00} a month. They applied {$1800.00} to XXXX/XXXX/2015 payment. Then I started getting nasty letters from them saying I was overdue. I ended up paying {$5300.00} toward my XXXX/XXXX/2015 payment and {$3000.00} toward my XXXX/XXXX/2015 payment. Did a law change allowing lenders tyo change the terms of my fixed mortgage? They cant recalculate mt mortgage each time I overpay. They are essentially penalizing me for prepayment by keeping my maturity dadate fixed and making me due every month no matter how much I applied to my principal. I depend on having a cushion of a couple months for when I deploy. This is total XXXX. I have complained to you about XXXX doing the same thing. and they responded with a XXXX answer and continue to do the same thing. XXXX banking practices!!!

Complaint: I am behind on my mortgage and had to file bankruptcy XX/XX/XXXX After I graduated from college, my income decreased significantly. PHH sent me a packet to submit for a loan modification, they have myhome listed for foreclosure. I submitted all the requested documents and contacted XXXX as my advocate. I have received XXXX letters fromPHH requesting the documents that I had submitted in XXXX. I have yet to speak to the assigned case manager XXXX XXXX, I have annotated and faxed the documents requested for a secondtime. I have called to check the status of my packet as it is goingon XXXX+ days, and when those days expire I have to start thisprocess over. PHH has my home listed for foreclosure. I purchasedmy home XX/XX/XXXX, I am retired military veteran with a fixed income. All documents requested were submitted to PHH and XXXX. I am desperately trying to save my home and just want theloan modified so I can afford the payments. I was told today that mypacket was submitted for review and I do n't know what else to do butrequest additional assistance to help me keep my home.

Complaint: I started making extra principle payments to my mortgage company ( Coldwell Banker Mortgage ). I noticed they were not being applied to the principle and instead were being held and applied to the next regular mortgage payment. For example : I paid my XX/XX/XXXX payment, I then two weeks later sent another payment this payment was held and applied to my XX/XX/XXXX payment, then when I paid my XX/XX/XXXX payment they held it and applied it to XX/XX/XXXX. Upon noticing this I contacted my lender to get the principle payments corrected. My lender said they would fix the issue. I had 4 payments that were incorrectly applied ( for a total of {$19000.00} ). I contacted the company on XX/XX/XXXX. They said everything would be fixed within 7-10 business days. I checked on XX/XX/XXXX and only two had been corrected. I contacted the company again ( on XX/XX/XXXX ) as it had been past the 10 days to find out what happened. I was again promised that everything would be fixed but that it would take 7-10 business days. I informed them that this was not acceptable since I had already call on this and they had not fixed it. I was promised by the lender that they would get it fixed and that they were putting in a " ticket to get it fixed quicker ''. I again checked on XX/XX/XXXX and still it is not fixed. I again called the company who told me " it takes time to process, but it has been submitted ''. I checked again today XX/XX/XXXX and it still is not fixed. Right now the company is holding {$4800.00} that should be applied to principle during XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, and instead telling me I do n't own my mortgage until XX/XX/XXXX which is not what I want. What makes this extra frustrating is that I am currently XXXX, so I have to call in the middle of the night to be able to reach the company during their " normal business '' hours.

Complaint: this complaint is with Coldwell banker mortgage servicing. My issue is in XXXX I made my mortgage payment along with the escrow shortage I used the coupon they sent me. They applied it to my principal so when I made XXXX payment I started getting calls attempt to collect a debt!! XXXX XXXX they filed a work order to fix it. Now I come to find my XXXX and XXXX payments have been cashed not applied to my loan but they cashed my checks!!! Where exactly is my MONEY in a interest bearing account???! I have also received paper work a week ago for early intervention assistance because my loan is in default! You get absolutely no place with these customer service people, you speak XXXX, I have turned them into the office of the president and this matter has still not be resolved. What is my recourse here this a RESPA violation under # XXXX there should be some restitution involved here! On top if they have ruined my credit. This is just absolutely unacceptable.
