Complaint: I applied for an auto loan at OneMain Financial on XX/XX/2019.
I was called that the loan has been approved after reviewing all the documents sent to them.
I live in XXXX and the Car that I found was in XXXX PA where the OneMain Financial is also located The bank called me that the Loan has been approved and I should come sign the documents and pick the car immediately.
I told them I will come the next day.
I took off at work and called the car dealer car dealer to let them know we will be coming the next morning The next Morning I started the 4hrs30 mind journey, The bank called me to ask if I am on my way already, i told them yes i am on my way with my wife and kids ( XXXX old and XXXX old ), And she said we are waiting, she said to come with my insurance card and I told her I will do.
Few minutes later, after driving for 2hrs45mins, the car dealer called that he doesn't understand what the bank is saying that I have to call the bank, He said the loan is not Approved.
I immediately called the bank and they told me they are sorry that the loan is not approved because of some documents I was in total shock, Not because the loan was not approved, But because they asked me to come, and I took off for the day and have my family in the car, on the road for hours.
I was told sorry and I had to drive another 2hrs45mins back home My kid took ill and my car broke down on my way back.
It was just a terrible day for my Family.

Complaint: On about or about XXXX 2019 I applied for a new loan with XXXX XXXX, they denied my loan but sent me to One Main they might help! I applied and was subsequently denied by One Main.Since then everyday i was getting letters from One Main saying my loan was denied and that i could request specific reasons Up until today i disregarded these multiple emails Today I received another email saying my loan application was denied TODAY I made no such application .Once i realized what they were saying I called ONE MAIN i was treated rudely They refused to let me speak with a supervisor.They said the application was made in my name with my real social security number.and then they hung up I contacted XXXX XXXX they said there was nothing they could do .If they realized my personal information or did not protect it that must be rectified.XXXX XXXX said they are investigating it.XXXX XXXX should be held accountable for partnering with a scam lender

Complaint: Ive got 3 collections Im paying on. XXXX XXXX XXXX which I have 2 correctly reported my balance. One Main Financial never does. I owe around {$6000.00} and the have me over {$7000.00}. I told them about it and they tell me its all done by computer. I dont buy it. Also Im making payments on XXXX XXXX for a truck for {$300.00} a month and its not even on my credit report. I surrender the vechiele and thy said I owed {$4500.00} I have paid {$900.00} on it all ready and being not reported am I even supposed to be paying on this? Thank

Complaint: Yes my son and I apply for XXXX XXXX XXXX With very high interest rate We have been making payments every month 10 payments to be exact and we had pull out our credit report and the company reports the account with a wrong amount more than the initial amount we had borrow and even though we had make payments the amount doesnt seem to go down we never Knew the account was over charge they also are charging extra fee for extra coverage car insurance that we never were told about and when we applied in person we had proof of the actual coverage and they didnt say anything about having to get more coverage or anything like that

Complaint: I pulled my credit profiles and noticed 2 credit inquiries ( XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ) by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was not familiar with the bank or the noted inquiries so I attempted to contact the company to obtain information about the inquiries. I sent a letter via certified mail to the address indicated on my credit profile. The letter was returned undeliverable and noted that the address didn't exist. This is the same address reported by the company on my credit profile. The law requires that credit reporting agencies report complete and accurate information. These 2 credit inquiries can not not be verified per the undeliverable address referenced on my credit profile.

Complaint: In XX/XX/2017, I was seeking a personal installment loan to consolidate debt. My credit isn't the best, so I was anticipating higher interest rates. OneMain Financial informed me that my Annual Percentage Rate ( APR ) on my installment loan would be 35 %. I was told that I could repay this loan for up to 5 years at {$320.00} per month. The principal amount was {$8900.00}, so I was anticipating paying over {$3000.00} in interest annually on the principal balance of the loan. What I was not notified of is that 1. ) The 35 % interest is accrued MONTHLY on the capital amount and amortized daily. So that over {$220.00} of my {$320.00} payment would go strictly to interest, leaving my capital balance essentially unchanged. I was also NOT notified that, 2. ) My total repayment would be over {$18000.00} or 118 % of the principal amount. This was NOT my comprehension of the terms when I entered into the agreement. I feel misled and held hostage. I have made XXXX timely monthly payments of {$320.00} to date and I still owe over {$7000.00} on this loan. In order for me to pay off OneMain, I will have to pay around {$850.00} per month for the next 12 months after previously paying nearly {$8000.00} already. This is NOT 35 % APR. I believe this is a blatant violation of Truth in Lending as well as predatory lending.

Complaint: I applied for the loan online, and received an automated phone call that my loan request had been approved. I was told to call XXXX to finalize the transaction. I was offered a {$10000.00} loan with a $ XXXX/month payback over 60 months. I spoke with XXXX and he outlined all the terms and conditions. I was told I would receive the funds via XXXX XXXX, but I had to pay the wire transfer fees upfront with a prepaid card. I was told to get a XXXX XXXX or XXXX card in the amount of {$360.00} and that XXXX XXXX would call me for the card information. I went to XXXX XXXX and purchased a XXXX XXXX card. On the way home from the store I started feeling suspicious that " what does XXXX XXXX want with a prepaid XXXX XXXX card? ", so when I got home ( and before I gave them the information ) started doing some research both online and with phone calls to XXXX XXXX and One Main Financial. I was told by XXXX XXXX that the MTCN numbers of XXXX & XXXX did not exist. They also told me that they do not accept XXXX XXXX gift card for payment. One Main Financial told me this is not the way they operate, they do not use XXXX XXXX to transmit funds. When I " googled '' the phone number XXXX I found other complaints of scams associated with this listing. I had never signed a loan contract - XXXX told me after I provide the card info and my funds were wired that I would be required to sign. After this research I told him that I did not feel comfortable providing any further information by phone, to please send me an email with the contract information. The email is from XXXX. This does not look like any other legal form I have signed online, and it says repayment is {$100.00} per month. So now I have a XXXX XXXX card worth {$360.00} ( I never gave information over the phone ) and no loan.

Complaint: I paid an extra {$250.00} payment online on XX/XX/XXXX and I figured since the account was paid up to date, the funds would be applied to principal only. The payment ended up being processed with principal AND interest.
After noticing that is what happened, I called One Main between the dates of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX to find out why it was applied that way and spoke with an agent named XXXX ( whom I can no longer trust ). After asking her why was it applied that way, she advised she didn't know. She stated in order to do principal only payments, I had to call in. Making it MORE DIFFICULT to pay the loan off earlier. This is unfair and it is also deceptive to have the option to pay online with no disclosure given prior to making the payment that we CAN NOT pay principal only.
XXXX was of no assistance that particular day, ESPECIALLY because I asked for the amount that went to interest to be taken out of my account and applied as principal only. She took the payment ( so I thought ), asked me to hold so she can set up recording for my confirmation of the payment, came back to the phone and the payment never posted and it never came out.
I called them back on XX/XX/XXXX because the money never came out of my account. XXXX answered the phone and I asked to speak with someone else after she was extremely rude in the way she answered my questions. Once again, using " I don't know '' as an answer for my questions. I asked to speak to someone else and she placed someone on the line to take my payment. That person took the {$250.00} principal only payment from me and it was processed correctly.
The company 's website is misleading and deceptive and it does not help in making principal only payments. XXXX needs to be trained on how to handle calls from clients regarding the online system. She doesn't know ANYTHING about it and she is also very rude.
I ask that she gets more training and better yet One Main Financial get a better website to use. Otherwise, it leads me to believe they are intentionally trying to make it more difficult to pay the extra money towards principal from month to month. I shouldn't have to call ANYONE. It should just be that easy. This has to be some sort of violation of UDAAP or some other regulation.

Complaint: OneMain 's response to my previous complaint to them is unacceptable! They stated that the credit bureaus don't allow them to delete credit inquiries, knowing FULL WELL that the credit bureaus MUST BE NOTIFIED BY THEM to delete credit inquiries! I have ALREADY disputed these inquiries with the bureau ( they're only reporting with XXXX ) and the keep coming back TELLING ME TO CONTACT THE CREDITOR/COMPANY! So NOBODY is responsible??? I NEVER did ANY inquiries/applications with you all! Where's your proof??? I will repeat what I stated in my previous complaint : There are three hard inquiries that are illegally reporting in my XXXX credit file for OneMain / OneMain Financial. My XXXX was dinged on XX/XX/2017, XX/XX/2017, and XX/XX/2017 ; two have XXXX area locations and one has the corporate XXXX, IN, location. None of these inquiries have permissible purpose to be reporting in my file. Permissible purpose is pulling for employment, court order, insurance, or includes a firm offer of credit. The inquiries do not fall in any of those categories. I do not have any accounts with OneMain and never have, nor did I apply. Moreover, I called them yesterday and both a local rep and a national rep said that all they see in their system are two RECENT inquiries attached to FLORIDA locations, of which I also have absolutely no clue about. I gave them my social security number to check their records. PLEASE NOTE : I repeat, OneMain does not even have record of the three inquiries reporting in my XXXX credit file. They need to be deleted immediately. I gave the dates and locations of the inquiries to both reps and they said that all they saw were the two RECENT inquiries. I was given reference numbers for those : XXXX and XXXX. They ALSO need to be deleted, especially before these rogue inquiries reach any of my credit reports. I had previously disputed the three inquiries twice that are in XXXX, so what all this means is that the so-called investigation XXXX and/or OneMain Financial did both times was completely nonexistent. I will be filing a separate complaint against XXXX.

Complaint: I apply for a loan online through a online service. which I was pre-approved for OneMain Financial said that I was eligible for the loan and the loan amount I was asking for. they pulled my credit and asked me to come into office to complete my application and sign documents at that point I asked was I approved for the loan amount that I was asking for but I was told she needed to see papers first and for me to come in I declined and canceled the loan a couple of days later after realizing I took a big hit to my credit score and was unable to refinance through other companies because of the score I decided to go back to OneMain for more questions about the big hit on my credit score and to complete the application but was told that they needed to pull credit again I said I needed to think about it a couple of days go by the lady calls me from OneMain Financial and asked me what did I decide again I told her the amount I was asking for and was it worth it for me to pull the credit again she told me that she couldn't tell me to pull it or not it was up to me so I told her how much I was asking for and she pulled the credit and told me that I was approved and to bring in some documents of proof of finances and a bank statement which I brought in to find out that I was not approved for the loan amount I was asking for and when I brought that up she just said do you want the loan for the lesser amount or not.
