Complaint: I have tried to work whit Navient on lowering my monthly payments due to my income. Back in XXXX of XXXX they we able to lower it and I had to renew on XXXX of XXXX. I called to renew it and set up for auto draft on XXXX of each month. The payments didnt start till XXXX which i pay XXXX a month. Well it's now XX/XX/XXXX and they are telling me the renewal was denied due to missing documents. At the time of renewal they said i only needed a voice binding nothing else. I have had so many problems with them about them saying theyre missing documents and we cant lower your payments when they werw rquiring XXXX a month and thats one whole paycheck from me now before switching jobs that was what almost both paychecks for the month.

Complaint: Income-Driven Repayment Payment Plan in XXXX was : {$27.00}, XXXX I Now Owe {$32000.00} Navient has managed to accumulate unfair interest on my account since XXXX. Upon speaking with their rep today, I was told about capitalized interest, and was charged 3 separate payments on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$520.00}, instead of one-time capitalized interest fee sent every XXXX. Upon bringing this up, the agent stated that I was only charged an interest once even though I could see three charges for said amount. I was then placed on hold on XX/XX/XXXX in which the other two amounts were removed with no claim of fault from navient after the hold. To follow up, I brought up a capitalized interest in the amount of {$180.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. Which made no sense because I've never once missed a payment even though my amount is based on my income. I was immediately told by the rep " it's likely i missed a payment '' and of course that wasn't the case, because I was then placed on hold for over another hour just to be told that they would be investigating why that amount appeared on my account because they didn't know. THIS IS BAFFLING!! Upon calculating all accrued interests since XXXX, I'm baffled that the calculation of what I owe is {$30000.00} and not {$32000.00} as stated. I will like to be a part of suing this company for their false practices.

Complaint: It's been a while since I submitted a disputed. However, the student loans were duplicated on my XXXX and XXXX credit reports. I have tried to remove the duplications in the past, but it's still there. I have a total of 4 XXXX XXXX accounts on my report ( there should have only been 2 ). One loan was paid on XX/XX/XXXX and should be completely removed from all credit bureaus ( over 7 years old ). The other was paid on XX/XX/XXXX which is also duplicated. Currently, I should only be one Sally Mae account which should drop off in XX/XX/XXXX. Please advise.

Complaint: Spoke with rep from naivent about XXXX XXXX XXXX being a closed school and that it needed to be removed from my student loan account and credit report because it is inaccurate and not verifiable. I was told it would take months to know something and that is will be on my report until XX/XX/2028. I have not received any up date on why a school that is no longer in business would stay on my student loan and credit report until XX/XX/2028. This has caused me a tremendous about of stress to my credit score and not being about to obtain credit with this errorous information on my student loan and credit profile.

Complaint: Navient refuses to honor the terms of my private loan agreement and place my account in Forbearance. After refusing to place my account in the student deferment I am entitled to as an enrolled student, and multiple formal complaints filed, I was informed by Navient representative XXXX XXXX that I was eligible for 12 months of voluntary forbearance. I stated I wanted to use my forbearance as my financial situation is difficult and I can not afford payments at this time. I completed all paperwork necessary and ( after more formal complaints ) a forbearance was applied to my account, but only for 3 months This forbearance expires on XX/XX/18. I again went through the hassle of applying for the forbearance in mid XX/XX/2018 as I need to use my full 12 months. I received a message that I needed to send a {$50.00} payment in order to have the forbearance applied. While I find this unreasonable and very difficult to manage, I still emptied my bank account to send this payment. Navient cashed the payment on XX/XX/18 but then sent me a notice on XX/XX/18 that my forbearance was denied because they " did not receive my payment. Not only has the check cleared my account, but Navient has posted the payment to my private loan in question. The payment was postd to my account days before the denial was sent. In contacting them again, I was told to call, which I believe is an intentional tactic to avoid having anything in writing, which they could be held to or used as proof to support any action against them. I can not call due to my work schedule, and even if I could, I do not trust the company to honor anything said given the long history of deception and dishonesty from this company. I believe this is an intentional deception to force extra payments on this account. This has been an ongoing problem with Navient and they consistently refuse to apply deferments and forbearance as agreed.

Complaint: In XXXX I had XXXX and had to have a full XXXX. I was not able to work so I enrolled in college. In XXXX I took out a loan for {$1500.00} to cover the expense of college. After about six months I was not able to continue with my classes due to complications from the XXXX, so I dis-enrolled. I picked up small, odd jobs to try to pay the loan back. My physical complications progressed and got worse so I was not able to hold a job for many years. I have paid a significant amount of money on the loan throughout the years. They have transferred my loan to multiple companies many times, and each transfer I am expected to pay an absurd transfer fee. I am now a low income, XXXX year old on Social Security. Once I pay my bills I do not have enough money to provide for the special diet my doctor requires me to be on. Even after 36 years, and years of wage garnishment, I am expected to pay back {$10000.00}.

Complaint: I've tried to do An income based loan with Navinet, which apparently was denied. Also, I have faxed and mailed in several hardship loan discharge forms to have loans removed/waived for student loan forgiveness, which according to Navinet, customer service representatives, they've never received. I have been trying for years, since my university closed ( XXXX University ) and left me with a slew of unpaid college debt, repeatedly to have some of my loans discharges, but the only situations, Navinet continues to offer is a forbearance or deferment. Which, is only causing interest on top of interest. I still don't have a XXXX XXXX XXXX, which before my university closed it's doors, I was 5 classes away from graduating. I have developed a lot of medical problems and bills, XXXX and XXXX is just the icing on the cake, stressing over how to pay my student loan debt. Now, I have two teenage sons, ages XXXX and XXXX, that I am preparing for college, which is causing more stress.

Complaint: The XXXX XXXX was started XX/XX/XXXX for {$10000.00}. It has been sold at least twice. I and my co-signer have paid in {$9200.00}. I went into bankruptcy from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. The loan is now with Navient.. This is a private loan. Navient has accrued the interest during bankruptcy and applied {$640.00} from the bankruptcy administrator toward interest while the court shows principal payments. This XX/XX/XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX ) Navient advised me to take a forbearance and capitalized interest and fees and I paid them {$50.00} to do this. The terms were to start payments XX/XX/XXXX. This agreement was taped., now they say that I missed XX/XX/XXXX and they say I owe an XX/XX/XXXX payment plus a late fee. This loan has been handled this way throughout, selling the loan, advising forbearance and capitalizing interest. To sum up, after 13 years, paying in {$9200.00}, and a bankruptcy the PRINCIPAL IS {$10000.00} OR {$440.00} LESS THAN THE ORIGINAL PROCEEDS.

Keep getting calls about your loan
Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 about XXXX XXXX my mother who is the co-signer on the loan contacted Navient and paid part of what was due. At that time the customer service agent told her that the loan would be brought to current and the next payment would not be due until XX/XX/XXXX. Since that time I have gotten 19 harassing phone calls and counting telling me that my loan is past due. I called yesterday ( XX/XX/18 ) at XXXX to ask why I was still being called, to which the customer service person told me that there was a note on the file and it was the case that the loan was brought to current but took some time to reflect that as it was paid on a Friday. I'm not sure what day it was paid on has to do with anything or why they can't see the note on file. After talking with them my mother and I have both received emails today ( XX/XX/18 ) saying the the loan is past due and to contact them immediately. I had previously received an email that said that my contact information may be outdated and to contact them, which was another ploy. My mother and I both feel we are being harassed about an issue that they have said was taken care of.

Complaint: I have been on the Revised Pay As You Earn plan with Navient for two years. For that entire time my monthly payments have not been enough to cover the monthly interest. My payments have never been applied to the principal and my accrued interest ( and total balance ) keep increasing. I was never made aware of the subsidy that is supposed to be automatically applied to help in this situation and just happened to come across information about when trying to figure what to do about my loans. I contacted Navient to try to understand what is going on, but their responses have just been to explain the subsidy, and they have not tried to look into or explain my specific situation.
