Complaint: i was approved for a checking account with navy federal. I was sent a debit card, account number, and a welcoming email. after my sister asked about the XXXX referral fee I was then told that my account was fraudulent and denied access. I was told that I could not have any access because my sister and I have different last names. but we have the same parents. I was told that I could use my marriage license on the phone but when I got there I could not use my marriage license. I was basically told that I was liar and my money would be sent back to the irs even though my son gave me the money from his tax refund so basically I was not only called a liar but a fraud. I have not done anything wrong. my son called which he is a member to verify he gave me the money he was told that there is nothing he could do. my mother and father are deceased. my sister name is XXXX but was born XXXX dob XXXX/XXXX/1965 in XXXX which now she resides in XXXX

My account is not in default and I have been making monthly payments but the collection department does not seem to have records of my payments but the other departments have records of my payments. I am getting daily calls and computer calls from them about an account that I am making payments on. The number that the Navy Federal Collection Department is calling me from is XXXX.

I contacted the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and confirm the fact and emailed a diagram over where it is located The listing agent listed the property as public water and sewer. I had a certified inspector to come out that fail to inform me of the septic tank and my agent fail to do her job. I attempted to resend the sale and my credit union that is refusing to resend. In addition I did n't received paper work to resind the loan and my right to have the septic tank evaluation. I was defraud by my agent, the seller and the inspector. I believe that it is that there is something wrong with the septic tank and possible sitting on some sort of sink whole. A could cost from XXXX, I also discover that in XXXX, there was a {$13000.00}, insurance payout on the property. I also believe that listing agent possibly are selling these foreclosures with major home repairs and leaving the consumer with the bill and possibly foreclosure. In XXXX of XXXX, I live in a house where the septic tank back-up and sewage came back into the property my property was damaged and the landlord refuse to help me. I moved out and living with my sister to save to purchase a home. I contacted the Consumer Protection Bureau stated that I have three-years to resend the sale because I was n't in the disclosure papers. My agent text me and ask if I wanted to sell the home. Complaint: My sister went into a Navy Federal Credit Union XXXX in XXXX Ohio XXXX the staff was very rude and unprofessional.She was told there was a fraud alert on her account she went in the branch to prove we are sisters. I faxed my birth certificate to XXXX while she was in the office the receptionist confirmed it was received. And on the telephone she was told that her marriage license could be used as verification as long as our parents names were on it. I was born before our parents were married and my birth certificate only had our moms name on it but she also had my moms obituary proving we are siblings. We understood the policies and did not mind complying with them but feel she was treated unfairly. I am filing this complaint due to the nature of her experience in the branch..

Complaint: Navy Federal Credit Union incorrectly deposited escrow funds of into an account without verifying that my name was attached. I have contacted them on multiple times and even submitted a letter to Supervisor of Escrow named XXXX but nothing has been done. I still have not received any monies. I asked if they could put a freeze on the account until we get this resolved and I was told NO. I was told that I had signed a form at my closing and according to the form they followed procedure. I was puzzled because my closing was done at another Title company in which I had asked about the escrow funds. After calling and speaking with XXXX different people with an hour on the same day in Escrow dept I was then informed the form signed was done in XXXX. The representative apologized stating that the form should have been updated prior to releasing the funds since my account was noted for DIVORCE, she then transferred me to the Supervisor named XXXX. XXXX reviewed the document and also apologized and stated she would try to reverse the funds but after being on the phone for about 30 min she stated unfortunately she would have to send this issue to her superior. She then asked if I could email a letter to her of all the conversations I had with Navy Federal regarding the escrow funds so she could attach with it the information she was sending. I called XXXX to XXXX to confirm receipt of the letter and she stated she received it and that I should hear back from XXXX of her Managers to resolve this matter. I questioned the escrow funds that I Prior to selling the property in XXXX XXXX, I inquired about the escrow funds when I requested the XXXX Payoffs in XXXX explaining that I was divorced and all escrow funds should be sent to me. I explained that due to a divorce, I was awarded the property and had been paying mortgage and taxes for the past two years. I asked Navy Federal if I needed to send them copies of the divorce decree and was told NO because they do not honor divorce decrees. Out of all the monthly phone calls and Payoff requests no one from the institution mentioned to update a Navy Federal Suppression document. As of date, I still have not received any escrow funds owed by Navy Federal Credit Union According to court documents, I was to receive ALL escrow funds however Navy Federal Credit Union does not honor divorce decree and has failed to honor my portion of the escrow funds due. I have also requested a copy of the signed Suppression form and still have not received it.

Reported the same to Navy Federal Credit Union who advised additional fraudulent charges of $ XXXX not present on our online account access. Although Navy Federal Credit Union cancelled the card immediately, they could not provide why additional fraudulent charges were not visible via our online account access. We are unsure of the amount of loss if any however believe Navy Federal Credit Union needs to provide all transactions on credit cards they sponsor in accordance with federal law.

Complaint: Each month my auto payment is due on the XXXX. The bank states I have ten days beyond this to make my payment before a fee is assessed. But the bank will make a fee assessment sometimes before the ten days. I will have the money in the account every month before the ten days. The bank goes in on the tenth day takes half the payment, charges a fee assessment and then takes the rest of the payment. If I have ten days then the fee should not be assessed until the eleventh day. When I contact the bank about reimbursing the fees they stare they can only reimburse XXXX time as a courteously but no more and this means ever not just that month. I have emails where they have stated this.

Complaint: I had XXXX accounts with Navy Federal that went delinquent a credit card and a consumer loan. They were charged off accounts I started making payments I paid XXXX off in XXXX XXXX and the other XXXX XXXX received paid in full letters saying my credit report was updated and it has not been. I had no knowledge that the account paid in XXXX XXXX was still showing negative on my credit report I assumed it had been updated because that is what the letter said. I have applied for credit and bought a car not knowing this was still negatively affecting my credit. I called them twice regarding the account paid off in XXXX XXXX and XXXX representative stated with attitude it will not be done right away so I informed her that this account was paid over a year it should have been updated she stated would get it over to that department and it should be handled fast forward to XXXX XXXX I pulled my credit report and both accounts are still showing charge off unpaid and is negatively affecting my credit score. I called navy federal again was put on hold speaking with different representatives they informed me it would be updated now it is the end of XXXX and neither accounts have been updated.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2016 I received a phone call stating that I received an {$8000.00} grant and in order to get the grant I had to give the account and routing number for my bank. The further instructions were to go to an ATM and pull out {$300.00}, then XXXX XXXX the money to an address in XXXX. After I withdrew the money from the ATM, someone went into a Navy Federal and deposited {$15.00} into the account and then withdrew {$770.00} from the checking account. Three hours after the withdrawal from the ATM, I told a friend about the grant and she told me to check my account because it sounded like a scam. When I checked the account, I saw the unauthorized debit of {$770.00}. I immediately notified Navy Federal Credit Union and informed them of the fraudulent activity. They recommended that I close the account, which I did. I asked about getting the money refunded, they said there was nothing they could do since I gave the perpetrators the account number and routing number.
