Incorrect information on your report

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Information belongs to someone else
Complaint: I received notification on my XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX report that a Midwest Recovery System or Midwest Recovery System, LLC had reported a collection on me in the amount of {$500.00}. I sent a certified letter asking for proof of the debt on XXXX XX/XX/2019. I sent it to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MO XXXX. It was forwarded to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MO XXXX. It was marked return to sender XXXX XX/XX/2019. Since this time, the address and contact information on my credit report has either been changed or deleted. I called when the letter returned to my mailbox and asked that they provide a proper address for me to communicate with them. The person on the phone only tried to get my personal information. ( account numbers, email address, last four of my ssn, where I work, etc ) I did not use this company which they report on two credit reports as XXXX and on the other as 12 XXXX. I feel this is fraud. It has caused my credit score to drop significantly, and this appeared only after I had started doing so well with cleaning up my report. The letter that I was sending merely asked them to provide me proof of the debt so that I could make a sound decision on what steps to take next.

Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Medical debt

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: I noticed on my credit report that I had an account go into collections on XX/XX/XXXX. It is from service received for an emergency room visit on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$550.00} & I have not been notified of this debt to this day. I do not remember going to the ER during this time. No phone calls were made to me or any forms of communication except reporting it on my credit report. I have had a new residence since XX/XX/XXXX which has been properly reported to the state & local post office. Now it is on my credit report showing as a negative & derogatory account in collections. I am the one who reached out to Midwest Recovery Systems when i noticed it on my report today XX/XX/XXXX to resolve & asked politely for them to remove it from my history because to my knowledge it is past the statue of limitations of when they can try to actively pursue this debt & they refused, the response was they have 7 years. It took Midwest Recovery Systems - 6yrs. 1mo. to report this debt & i believe it is inaccurate & past the statue of limitations of which they are allowed to handle & pursue this debt. I also do not believe this debt is mine to owe regardless & they could not provide any paperwork, only the date of service.

Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: As ascribed and written to Midwest Recovery Services : To Whom It May Concern : THIS IS NOT MY DEBT. MORE IMPORTANT, I AM NOT AWARE OF YOUR ORGANIZATION OR CLIENT. Effective XX/XX/XXXX, under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, there has been no debt letter, confirmation of debt or opportunity to rebut alleged debt. Furthermore, noticed this collection on personal credit report. After a request for debt validation, this errant reporting constitutes an illegal continuation of collection activity. Again, since there was no opportunity to challenge or validate this debt ; under section 809 ( b ) of the FDCPA, following a request for debt validation, collection agencies must cease its collection effort ( s ). Your organization is in violation of the FCPDA, and subject to fines of {$1000.00}. Plus, actual damages and attorneys fees, which I opt to collect ( via small claims court ). This illegal collection activity has caused severe problems ; thus, prospective awards-resulting from damages incurred-need be substantial. Again, the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) does not allow inaccurate reporting of information on a credit report. Therefore, if not IMMEDIATELY removed, your organization is subject to aggressive punitive action. Your legal staff will agree that non-compliance with this request places you your organization in serious legal jeopardy. Finally, in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ), that you are liable for willful non-compliance. Failure to provide original contract, without any alterations, mark, stamps and bearing my original signature has resulted in a claims action against Midwest Recovery Systems. I now seek {$5000.00} ( XXXX XXXX dollars ) in damages for the following : 1 ) Defamation 2 ) Negligent Enablement of Identity Fraud 3 ) Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act as applicable. Failure to satisfy this request in accordance with the legal principals of estoppel is understood as a waiver of any and all claims against me ; and facilitates a tacit agreement to compensate me for costs and attorney fees. NOTE : YOU MAY NOT CALL. ANY CORRESPONDENCE NEED BE WRITTEN. ALSO, MIDWEST RECOVERY SERVICE IS NOT LICENSED TO CONDUCT COLLECTION ACTIVITY IN OHIO. MOREOVER, DUE TO SIMILAR UNRESOLVED COMPLAINTS ( AGAINST MIDWEST RECOVERY SERVICES ), THE BBB HAS REVOKED ITS PARTICIPATION. Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a robotic message from a collections company claiming to be Midwest Recovery LLC. My mother and husband received similar calls for me from this company. I had no communication from them prior to this date. The same date, my XXXX and XXXX credit reports showed collection accounts with this company. I know this is not legal. No notification of this alleged debt, no information until the date you report it? What about my right up dispute the validity of the debt? The next day, the account was on my XXXX account. I have no collection accounts on my credit report. I have good freedom. I believe this company seeks out those in situations like mine do they can bully them into paying a fraudulent account. They know they care about their credit. I called the company on the morning of XX/XX/XXXX, anguished about my now tarnished credit. Before I could get two words out, the representative told me the debtor would accept less than 50 % settlement and delete it from my credit. To me this proves this company is fraudulent. Why wouldnt you want the full amount I owe and why would you use credit deletion as a bargaining tactic? I didnt ask for it. You offered because you get people to pay just to get it off their reports. You are bottom feeding snakes. Disgusting! The account is not mine. I have a military spouse. That makes me ineligible for these types of products. I have not taken a payday loan. I literally have 15 credit cards. I don't need a payday loan! The checking account number they provided in which the alleged funds were deposited is not mine. I have been employed with XXXX XXXX for 12 years so I have an account with them and XXXX XXXX. I almost offered to pay just so they would take it off my credit. I almost fed into their deceitful tactics. This is UDAAP at its finest. But I refuse to let them get away with this. There are so many online complaints from other people with the same story. You should be ashamed of yourself, Midwest Recovery!
