Complaint: Hi, on XX/XX/2019 the main 3 credit bureaus received via certified mail my request asking for proof of this account a collection company has placed on my credit file, The credit bureaus have responded to me that this creditor EOS CCA has verified my information with them and that the account is accurate. EOS CCA sent me on XX/XX/19 a letter with my name and address saying the original creditor is XXXX XXXX XXXX with a due bill of XXXX. I sent them a letter on XX/XX/2019 that they received via certified mail asking them to send me proof that I have opened this account with them, I told them this account is not mines, I have never in my life opened any account with XXXX XXXX. This does not belong to me. They have not responded to me and continue to report this collection account to the credit bureaus inhibiting my ability to obtain credit, mortgage etc. I would like this account deleted please from all credit bureaus. I have NEVER opened any account with XXXX XXXX.

Complaint: Received a collection letter from EOS CCA, that started in about XXXX at which time I called and they stated whom the dept was owed. I called XXXX and was told that not only could they not find such a debt but the account number given does not match any records they have. I also called XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX my actual provider ) and the same response was given, they can not find any debt owed nor any account number that matches. I was also told by XXXX and XXXX that they did not even provide services in the area in which I live and still don't. I called back to the collection agency and was told they would check and get back to me. Within a month I was getting the same bill. I have both called and sent letters XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ) trying to get this resolved, and everything I found out in my own investigation. I will hear nothing for a while then the letters start again. It is getting tiresome and I would consider this harassment. Not only are the letters and calls annoying and harassing but they have put this debt on my credit report! I do not know how to get through to them that this has never been my dept. I have repeatedly asked for proof that this is my dept and have never seen anything nor have I been given the number of someone I could verify this dept with.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, received a Notice of Collection Placement from EOS CCA, XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MA XXXX that I owed XXXX {$51.00}. I had closed my XXXX account in XX/XX/XXXX and the company ended up sending me back a refund, which I received in XX/XX/XXXX. I called EOS CCA and they told me I owed the money and I told them that was incorrect because XXXX owed me money when I closed the account and they paid me the amount of {$51.00}. The lady told me to call XXXX and gave me my XXXX account number ( XXXX ). I called XXXX, was on hold for over 45 minutes until XXXX, the XXXX account representative answered the phone. XXXX was very helpful. He told me that the account was closed and that there was a XXXX balance. He could find no instance where my account was sent to a collection agency. But just to be safe, he sent me to XXXX 's Finance Department, which I had to wait on the phone another 30 minutes, but XXXX waited with me, before anyone answered. My call was answered by XXXX, who told me my account was closed and that XXXX had sent me my refund of {$51.00} when my account closed in XX/XX/XXXX and the check sent to me in XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX told me that XXXX never sent my account to a collection agency and that EOS CCA 's Notice was fraudulent and not to give them any personal information because they were trying to steal my identity. I called EOS CCA back and told them that XXXX told me their letter was fraudulent and they they never sent my account to a collection agency and a manager told me if I didn't pay they would ruin my credit. I felt like I was being threatened to pay this collection agency or they would intentionally ruin my credit. I called back XXXX after this to get someone to help me and waited on hold again for 45 minutes before XXXX picked up the phone. He was very rude and told me I had a XXXX balance and if I wanted to clear up the issue I had to file a dispute claim with XXXX or no one would help me. I got off the phone with XXXX and I sent a dispute letter to XXXX asking them to clear up the matter of the collection Notice ( I also sent them a copy of the collection notice ). I am afraid this collection agency is trying to get money out of me that I don't owe and steal my identity. Even though I sent a dispute notice to XXXX, I am not sure they will do anything because they said they never put me into collection.

Complaint: This complaint is for a debt collector company name " EOS '' Around XXXX I attended XXXX University graduate XXXX, and now XXXX the school long been close for fraudulent activities but ever since late XXXX my mother been receiving robocalls from EOS company, they are stating that she has cosign for me when I attended that Fraudulent school " XXXX University/XXXX '' back in XXXX when supposedly the lawn were so-called taking for the amount of {$4000.00} which now become {$5000.00}!!! Who had long shut their doors for lawsuits against them for misleading people by attending they're so-called UNIVERSITY. I was unaware of these robocalls to my mother! Today after answering one of the EOS Operative impersonating to be a lawyer, and a debt collector. Who stated that if I Am XXXX XXXX which I reply Yes, and give my new address which I just move in with my wife about last month on XX/XX/XXXX to be exact! Then I tried to complied with him and he was being very rude too. Then that trouble my mind so I call them again to tried to get some more info from them but this time a lady pick up! They even tried to say that they have spoke to me on several occasion which I have no knowledge off because after I contact my mother! She indeed told me shes tired of these people tried collect a lawn that we don't even remember taking from that XXXX school! But again it's " XXXXXXXX '' affiliates! They even mention to me they have repurchase the lawn from another lender after 12 years! To tried collect the debt that is in collection ... it's company like that! That make this generation believed in that new " College is a Scam '' movement. Because of robo calls and malpractices on they're way of going and tried to accused people and kept them in bondaged that they knew not or debt that have may have been long expired. Please I will like for CFPB to assist me on this matter. I and my mother truly don't know about that lawn she have cosign on my behalf 12 years ago. The company tell me over the phone that! I'm in collection which not true! And if I am they may have reported that XXXX so-called debt of there's today XX/XX/XXXX after pick up they're anonymous call. I know nothing of that Private School lawn that XXXX may have misused my information without my consent! Honestly don't know All I know is that I have school lawn with " XXXX XXXX '' Now become XXXX! And been making my payments etc ... Truly I wasn't aware of that so-called private till to day. So Please CFPB I need help resolving this.

There was a previous balance of {$540.00} which was settled for {$420.00} and paid in full early XX/XX/2019 in order to secure affordable rates for refinancing of my vehicle and a suitable interest rate for pre-approval of a home mortgage. I reported the information as false with the credit bureau and I believe the company continued to show the negative balance on my credit report hoping I would call back in desperation to remove it. This has affected me as it has given me unfavorable rates for refinancing and securing other financing as my credit score was tremendously impacted.
