Complaint: Disputed this account on all three credit bureaus and asked for validation ... .not address verification. Asked for chain of title if account was purchased from another country. Asked for " itemized '' breakdown of all charges, interest, fees, penalties that result in the alleged amount owed. I received nothing back from them except a XXXX bill that clearly does not show any of this. And also proves that I DO NOT have an account or obligation to Diversified Consultants. I asked that this be removed from all 3 major credit bureaus and all collection attempts be ceased. In attachment labeled " Diversified Consultants 2nd Response '' they sent a letter to my father XXXX XXXX. Not sure why they would involve him in this matter. But they are doing any and everything to NOT VALIDATE this debt and show where I owe Diversified consultants and NOT XXXX.

Complaint: I found out that Diversified Consultants, the 3rd debt collector attempting to collect an invalid debt for XXXX, now had the debt because it was reported to XXXX. A notice of the report was given to me by a credit monitoring agency that I utilize. At no time before reporting to the credit agency had I received any communication from Diversified Consultants, including the 30-day dispute notice. The notice was not sent to me until I called Diversified Consultants and notified them that they erroneously reported the debt, which is not a valid debt and has been repeatedly disputed, before sending a 30-day notice. This practice is highly unethical and validates my consumer rights. Additionally, I disputed the initial report to the credit agency which was removed immediately and replaced with another report that notes that it is contested by the consumer.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 I settled my account in full with Diversified Consultant Inc. I was advised of receiving my paid in full letter within the next 2 business days and that it would be removed from my credit. I took precaution to file a dispute of my own thru XXXX. I tried reaching out to Diversified Consultant Inc. several times regarding my concerns, but the consultant just keep giving me the same answer that they are working on it. Fast forward to today, I made another attempt to resolve the issue. The consultant, XXXX, stated to me that he is still working on getting my paid in full letter and that they do not remove items from the credit bureau. I asked XXXX that many creditors have done so in the past and Diversified Consultant has done it before based upon their previous client 's reviews. XXXX just simply stated that they do not do it and disconnected on me without true reasoning. I am contacting the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to investigate the unfair, improper treatment of their clients.

Complaint: Good Morning I have noticed that the debt appeared on my credit after my monitoring service notified me in XX/XX/2018. I waiting for the notice of debt to be mailed, However, according to the law a letter never was mailed by the stated company. I decided to send Diversified Consultants a letter myself requesting verification and ownership of the stated debt. I received a notice with just a face sheet with a simple amount owed. This is not considered verification or ownership of the debt. The letter threatened to take legal action and would have an adverse effect on my credit. I just want to be assured that the debt is correct and that this company definitely is suppose to be collecting this alleged debt.

Complaint: XXXX has been non-compliant with removing the unverified account DIVERSIFIED CONSULTANTS INC which has been deleted by XXXX and XXXX. XXXX and XXXX have both completed their research and determined that DIVERSIFIED CONSULTANTS INC was not established by myself but XXXX keeps verifying this accounts. Also, when I called the company they responded that XXXX did not send them all of the verifying evidence to confirm each account is unverified.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I was viewing my credit report and found that there was a hard inquiry for XXXX on my credit report of XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX. I never applied for services or gave any one unauthorization to use my social security number to open an account with. I chatted with a representative the same day, and was advised that the name on the account was XXXX and the account was opened using my social security number. The address on the account being XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, VA XXXX. This is my EX-WIFE, and I would NEVER give her permission to open anything in my name. I was advised to call there fraud department but I have been recieving the run around. This is the 2nd time this has happened. She opened an account using my SSN in XX/XX/XXXX and the account was suppose to be closed down as fraudulent, I even spoke to mulitple representatives then. Now im being told the account was not shut down as fraudulent but is now with collections. I never recieved a bill because I do NOT live at this address on file. And now again XXXX has allowed my SSN to be used again to have an account opened. And now there is another unauthorized hard inquiry on my credit report. I have been told the account would not have been opened it the SSN on file did not match with the name on the account. That is XXXX, this is the second time you have allowed my SSN to be used to open and account and then allow the name to be switched on the account. I want ALL accounts with my SSN on your system closed and removed. I do not want to be held liable for ANY account balances because these accounts were opened fraudulently. One account closed on XX/XX/XXXX and its with a XXXX XXXX XXXX falsely. I want the account removed from XXXX XXXX XXXX as closed and removed from my credit report as the account was opened fraudulently. The second account was closed on XX/XX/XXXX, and its in the name of XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX but has my SSN on the account. I want my SSN off these accounts and hold her liable for the account balances. She NEVER had my authorization to open these accounts.

I then sent them another letter on XX/XX/2018 which provided proof that the account they have on my credit file is not mine, they still did not respond. I filed a complaint on XX/XX/18 in which they finally responded saying they would remove from my collection file as well as they would send me a fraud packet. To this date neither was done, this account is still on my credit file and I never received the packet they claimed they would send.

Complaint: I had an account with XXXX. I had the account for a few years. At one point, a former friend of mine began working for XXXX and asked if he could join my account and we could both use his employee discount. I didn't really think that was a bad thing so I agreed. The employee then accessed my account without my knowledge or consent and added multiple lines fraudulently. I never noticed because I wasn't paying the bill. When I did notice extra lines on the account, I would ask him and he would always tell me they were his, for his tablet, or his work line, or something else. We would argue because I never allowed those lines to be opened, but the bill would always be paid and he always said they were temporary. Eventually, he was fired from XXXX and the bill went unpaid. I texted the other numbers on the line and a person confirmed that he opened her account on my line and she was paying him for the line. I cancelled all the lines and reported all the phones as stolen. The account was closed and the bill jumped to {$4000.00}. I filed a police report and filed a fraud claim with XXXX. The claim was denied solely because I knew the person who committed the fraud. I do not think this is fair. I can prove that I wasn't in a XXXX store to add those lines. I can prove my conversations with him where he continuously lied to me. I can prove what the other person on my line said about how he opened her account. I kept all of those conversations. I have a police report. I have time-records from my job that show I work in XXXX and no where near that store. There was never any authorized user on my account other than me. Crimes are crimes, regardless if you know the person or not. This bill was sent to collections and has now adversely affected my credit. With the derogatory mark, I am ineligible for federal student loans. I just applied to a XXXX XXXX that I can now not attend because I can't get loans. My credit is otherwise spotless.

Complaint: In early XXXX I voluntarily contacted Diversified Consultants in regards to a C/O XXXX bill that became delinquent in XX/XX/2013. I know that bill was pass the statue of limitations but i wanted to clear the debt from my name. I spoke with a supervisor in XXXX in regards to a below blanket settlement of {$600.00} on balance of {$1300.00}. The supervisor agreed to a settlement of {$600.00} that would be paid in two payments of {$150.00} in XXXX and one payment of {$300.00} in XXXX to settle the account in full for {$600.00}. I asked the supervisor to provide me with a settlement letter as proof for my records and was told i would be emailed a settlement letter. I never received the settlement letter. I spoke with a representative a few days later in regards to getting a settlement letter and was again told i would be emailed a settlement letter. I never received a settlement letter but instead received a letter in the US Postal mail stating that i agreed to pay {$600.00} as payment towards to the total balance of {$1300.00}. Nothing noted on the letter reflected the settlement that was agreed upon on a recorded line. On Thursday XX/XX/XXXX, I received an alert from my credit monitoring service ( XXXX ) stating that Diversified Consultants listed the same XXXX account as a delinquent account on my credit report in the amount of {$1200.00}. Its very unethical practices for Diversified consultants to misrepresent the payment arrangement i made, they never forwarded me any settlement paper work regarding the approved settlement of {$600.00}. Instead i was forwarded documentation regarding payments towards the full balance which was never discussed. I stopped payment on the check immediately because I was mislead into a fraudulent arrangement that i did not agree upon. On Friday XX/XX/XXXX, I reached out to Diversified consultants and spoke with a supervisor by the name of XXXX. I informed XXXX of the situation and XXXX immediately became irate and stated that i would recieve a settlement letter until i paid the settlement balance which is not true because i was told on two separate occasions that i would be forwarded a settlement letter. I informed XXXX that i expected the negative remarks on my credit to be removed immediately because the arrangement was misrepresented and she told me that would not happen. I informed XXXX that i would make a complaint in regards to unfair practices and she told me to go ahead. The call ended and now i am here looking for help.

Complaint: This complaint is based on violations of the FCRA, the FDCPA and the MDCPA ( including 940 CMR sec. 7 and MGL Chapter 93A sec. 2 ) by Diversified Consultants ( hereinafter DIVERSIFIED ). ___ On XX/XX/2018, I reviewed my credit reports and saw a collection account reported by DIVERSIFIED on behalf of XXXX. ___ On or around XX/XX/2018, I mailed to DIVERSIFIED a demand letter pursuant to Chapter 93A of the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act. My demand letter advised DIVERSIFIED that they violated the MDCPA because they reported the account in a name other than that of the creditor in violation of 940 CMR 7.07 ( 21 ). My demand letter sought the removal of the wrongly reported account from my credit reports ( a copy of my letter is attached to this complaint ). ___ DIVERSIFIED received my letter on XX/XX/2018 via certified mail receipt number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. ___ My letter dated XX/XX/2018 also included a request for validation of debt. I requested all of the required materials under the Mass AG Debt Collection Regulations 940 CMR 7.08 ( 2 ). These materials include ( a ) all documents, including electronic records or images, which bear the signature of the debtor and which concern the debt being collected, and XXXX b ) a complete transaction history which reflects the date and amount of payments, balances, and charges concerning the debt. My letter also included the very same form letter provided on the website of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection ( BCFP ) for consumers to request validation of an alleged debt. ___ At no time did DIVERSIFIED reply to my Chapter 93A demand letter nor did they validate the debt by providing the answers and materials listed in the BCFP form letter. ___ On XX/XX/2018, I disputed the account thru the credit reporting agencies. My dispute included that I had no knowledge of the debt, and that DIVERSIFIED failed to validate the debt as required by the FDCPA, the MDCPA, the requirements set forth in the form letter provided by the BCFP, and that they reported the account in their own name, in violation of 940 CMR 7.07 ( 21 ). ___ On and/or after XX/XX/2018, I received the results of the investigations from the credit reporting agencies, where they advised me that DIVERSIFIED had falsely verified the account ( while failing to validate the debt as required by state and federal law ), and where they continued to report the account while identifying the name of their company, in violation of the MDCPA 940 CMR 7.07 ( 21 ). ___Based on the aforementioned facts ( and supported by the attached certified letter ), DIVERSIFIED engaged on the following wrongful conduct : ___ ( a ) Violation of the FCRA 15 USC 1681s-2 ( b ) ( 1 ) ( A ) in that they failed to conduct a reasonable investigation of my dispute thru the credit reporting agencies. ___ ( b ) Violation of the FCRA 15 USC 1681s-2 ( b ) ( 1 ) ( B ) in that they failed to review all relevant information provided in my dispute to the credit reporting agencies. ___ ( c ) Violation of the FCRA 15 USC 1681s-2 ( b ) ( 1 ) ( E ) in that they failed to modify, delete, and/or permanently block the reporting of inaccurate or unverifiable information on my credit reports. ___ ( d ) Violation of the FDCPA 15 USC 1692g in that they failed to validate the debt and have continued collection activity thru use of the credit reporting system. ___ ( e ) Violation of the MDCPA 940 CMR 7.08 ( 2 ) and MGL c.93A sec . 2 for continuing collection activity while failing to provide all of the required materials that would validate the debt under Massachusetts law. ___ ( f ) Violation of the MDCPA 940 CMR 7.07 ( 21 ) and MGL c.93A sec . 2 in that they reported the account in a name other than that of the creditor ___ ( g ) Violation of the FDCPA 15 USC 1692 ( e ) in that they have taken action that can not legally be taken. ___ ( h ) Violation of the FDCPA 15 USC 1692e ( 10 ) in that they employed false or deceptive means to collect a debt. ___ ( i ) Violation of the FDCPA 15 USC 1692e ( 2 ) ( A ) in that they misrepresented the character, amount of legal status of the debt.

Complaint: back on XX/XX/XXXX we discontinued our cell phone service with XXXX and from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX i made payments to pay off the bill.i should of owed {$110.00} according to my records and attempted to pay them at the end of XX/XX/XXXX.talked to several people to try and make a payment but no one could find me in the system. finally using my social a guy was able to open up my account. he told me that my balance was paid and thats why i wasnt in the system.i told him i thought i still had a balance and he said if he finds anything other then what he told me, he will call or mail me.so now 4 months later out of the blue i get a collection notice from a place called XXXX.i called them right away on a friday evening and explained to them the above. they said send them a dispute letter, you have 30 days. i sent out the dispute letter 2 days later.maybe even one day later. i also called the 3 credit bureaus and asked if they had anything with XXXX, either opened, closed, late.they said absolutely no.i then called XXXX. i was transferred at least 6 to 8 times. no one would address this. finally a woman in the retention dept told me that its hard to find anything because someone sent it to XXXX.she did say however she is showing 4 lines were paid up and that the other has a {$100.00} to {$140.00} balance.i told her thats what i had but was told i owed nothing. i asked another manager for a copy of the phone conversation i had in november and he said hed call me back.never did.so now 7 months later, without even any notice a place called dci consultants puts a derogatory remark that i owe them {$630.00} for XXXX.i got an alert and my score drops 45 points. XXXX never called me back to tell me if they disputed my dispute. since 7 months went by i assumed they and XXXX were satisfied with my dispute.dci never once contacted me to see what was going on.they must of known they were the second ones trying to collect a paid debt but didnt seem to care.either that or XXXX lied to them.never sent me a letter or call to explain to them or dispute this once again which i shouldnt have had to.they just went ahead and blatantly puts this on my reports. i have disputed this with 2 credit bureaus, XXXX XXXX, and also a dispute letter to dci was mailed onXX/XX/XXXX.im including the XXXX notice from them and my last statement i ever received from XXXX. it might be hard to read because i put all my confirmation payment numbers on it since it was all i had. thank you

Complaint: I previously filed an FCC complaint on XXXX for erroneous billing and failure to credit my account properly. After the depute my bill was credited and it resulted in a XXXX balance.Afterwards I ported to a new company and returned 2 years later. The bill wasnt mentioned and there were no adverse effects when I ported back to XXXX. Almost a year in and collections agency has listed the item on my credit report. XXXX advises the issue was resolved and they aren't showing compensation due on the amount. However, XXXX is the only credit reporting agency that refuses to remove it even after several disputes have been entered. In fact they have blocked me from further filing in the matter!
