Caller asked who I was, I never stated I asked " May I ask who is calling '' the caller stated they where a debt collector and asked to verify my address. The caller stated an old address I no longer lived at. The caller stated only the numbers and street and ask me to verify the city and state. So i verified the city and state, they caller then told me that I had a past due Balance of {$580.00} with XXXX. Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX i received a phone call from a debt collector claiming to represent an overdue XXXX account. I did not recall being a XXXX member and was suspicious.After checking the collectors name online multiple results came up calling the company a scam particularly claiming past due XXXX accounts. When the collectors called me again i called them out on the scam and the warnings on the web. i did not hear from them again until XX/XX/XXXX when another collection agency called me under a different name but with the same past due XXXX account. unlike in XX/XX/XXXX i demanded some form of paperwork proving any such deal between myself and XXXX.no such paperwork could be produced but they did send me a bill wich i have kept on file. They identify themselves as Diversified Consultants , Inc . ( D.C.I. ). I checked them online again and more warnings came up as results on XXXX.

Complaint: I have been dealing with this for about XXXX years, this is the XXXX collection company that has attempted to collect this debt. I have work with the other XXXX and they determined it was not mine and ceased collection action. This company diversified consultants, reported me to the credit bureaus even though I let them know in writing before the 30 day time frame and called them to explain the situation. I asked them for the supporting documentation and they did not send anything over as I know it does not exist as it is not my debt. I have reached out to them to have them remove the negative report on my credit but they have yet to return my call or reply to me in writing.

Complaint: Failure to provide validation. On XXXX, I sent the company a demand for validation for the reference account they had reported on my credit report They failed to respond back without any contractual agreement or statements from the original creditor and continued reporting the account on my credit report. At the same time they verified the account as a valid account when I disputed it with the credit bureau instead of notifying the credit bureaus to have them mark the item as disputed, as required by law, thereby violating the FDCPA. This is a fine, punishable in court with punitive damages of {$1000.00}.

Complaint: Diversified Consultants is a Debt Collector who buys debts. Allegedly, XXXX XXXX XXXX sold them an account with my name for old services I use to have through XXXX XXXX XXXX. The account, XXXX, was early terminated by myself for lack of services and breach of agreement with XXXX XXXX XXXX. So, I paid XXXX XXXX XXXX directly, a copy of that payment is included in this complaint. THis payment was not a settlement, was nothing short of paid in full for early termination of services, home security services to be exact. I disputed the first letter I received from Diversified because they had the account labeled as a " wireless '' account from XXXX XXXX XXXX. My " wireless '' account from XXXX XXXX XXXX is my cellphones, which are direct debited monthly from my company XXXX card. When I spoke to XXXX XXXX XXXX about my wireless account, the representative verified that my " wireless '' account has never been late and always paid on time by the auto debit to my credit card. Diversified NEVER responded to my dispute, simply moved forward with " verifying '' the debt and posting it to my credit report. XXXX XXXX XXXX claimed they never sold a debt to Diversified for my " wireless '' account. XXXX XXXX XXXX verified payment over the phone for the paid in full early termination fees on the home security services. Diversified, and possibly XXXX XXXX XXXX, violated my FCRA and FDCPA rights and their laws in XXXX ways. First, there was no true or verifiable PROOF of Diversified Consultants " Verification of debt '' as requested by myself. After that violation, they moved forward with reporting to the CRA 's and damaging my credit. XXXX XXXX XXXX representatives were just as confused by the labeling of the account as " wireless ''. Not until I spoke to a manager, AFTER writing to Diversified about the mistake and the dispute, that a manager said the home security services are labeled " wireless ''. The manager apologized for the confusion, however, that confusion led to this mess. Again, XXXX XXXX XXXX 's irresponsibility and negligence have cost me time and money and stress.

Complaint: I lost my business due to the economy & had to move to find work. The apartment I moved into did not allow satellite dishes to be mounted on the building or property. I paid XXXX in full every month for over XXXX years ( including additional expensive sports packages ). Contacted XXXX before I moved to terminate service, paid account in full and returned all equipment they required. Now they have sent my account to collections to try to force me to pay {$520.00} for early termination. The FTC currently has a lawsuit against XXXX for illegally charging customers $ XXXX.+ for early termination citing it as illegal. West Virginia law states that if the account is more than XXXX years old ( my account is over XXXX years old / active for XXXX ) they can not sue me or report debt to any credit agency. I do not believe I owe XXXX any money.
