Complaint: appreciateI received a letter from Jefferson Capital regarding an old debt that they bought. I contacted them to pay it off. I was told they did not accept debit cards and needed my bank account information. I am not comfortable with giving out my bank account number. That was last week and since then they call my work phone ( I mistakenly called from my desk phone ) 5-10 times a day. I have spoken with several people to tell them not to call my work line. One particular rude representative talks over me, keeps repeating the same thing over and over until I have to hang up on him. There is no need for it. I called them to resolve the debt. It is not my problem that they do n't have good business practices and ca n't accept card payments on the phone or on line. I will mail my payment because I want to clear this up - hence the reason I called them last week. But I do n't appreciate the harassment at work after telling them several times ( sometimes multiple times on one call ) not to call my work phone number.
