Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, Calvary Portfolio Services ( as Assignee of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ), reported that I owe {$8700.00}. It also shows date of first delinquency of XX/XX/XXXX..The first I knew of this claim was AFTER XXXX had assigned the account to a collection agency. I have be in regular contact with 4 different collection agencies, asking each one of them to please send me something showing what the basis of this claim was. Credit card charges, etc. Each one of the agencies said all they could provide me with was the last 6 months of statements, which only showed a balance forward, more interest, and the new balance. A couple of the agencies offered to " settle '' for {$500.00}. But I have no idea what the claim is for, so I 'm certainly not paying until they can tell me what it 's for. ( Please see attached time line of my when I was in contact with each of these agencies ). You can look at my credit history. In addition, on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX send me a letter saying my account was compromised ( Letter attached ). XXXX has now sued me in an attempt to collect this money. Please review my credit history as well, as you can see I have never been late or failed to pay a bill EVER. We pay our bills timely EVERY MONTH. I am disputing this debt and ask that you investigate this claim and request that the creditor, Calvary Portfolio Services, provide solid information as to the charges that form the basis of their claim. ***PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT XXXX NOTATED WHEN THEY REPORTED THIS " DEBT '' THAT I HAVE DISPUTED THIS CLAIM

Complaint: I have disputed the inaccuracies of these debt from XX/XX/XXXX to the present date. This company has re-aged a debt on my credit reports which is illegal and against the law. I have a bill of sales from XX/XX/XXXX and the original debt was disputed with XXXX XXXX as well as the previous collection agency and removed off my credit report. The apparently resold the debt to Calvary Portfolios LLC who re-aged the debt to look as if I recently purchsed the vehicle On XX/XX/XXXX which is inaccurate and falsified. This account was removed off of my account on 2 separate occasions and the company continues to place it on my records.

Complaint: Cavalry SPV, LLC continues to call my cell phone many times, So much so I had to block them. They would at first not tell me who they were, ask me for personal information and when I refused to give it would tell me that they could not tell me anything more. I got someone to finally tell me what the name of the company was. At that point I stated I do not know who they are, have not accounts with them and to stop calling. I then blocked them. I then started to receive statements saying I owed them money. Do n't know who these folks are. and when called I get " what is your name and social security number '', Sorry, I do n't know them, so nope. I look at my credit report, they are reporting I owe them. I get a letter from an XXXX XXXX XXXX, stating they are contacting me on behalf of Cavalry. I send a letter back asking for proof of the debt to Cavalry. ( XX/XX/XXXX ). The response letter (XX/XX/XXXX ) shows oldXX/XX/XXXX statements from XXXX, along with a generic sale slip of who knows what, as my name is no where on it. And any possible telling information is blacked out.XX/XX/XXXX- I call XXXX to ask about any accounts I have with them. I am told that I need to call an 800 number. I tell the lady that if the account was with them why could n't they tell me, or connect me to someone. Or does it show they closed the account? sold the account? anything? she said she can not see it. I ask to please be transferred to someone who has access to that information. I get sent to an account manager. The manager then tells me she sees nothing under my SSN or name. That I have no debt with them. I ask about in collections. She tells me that she would see if they had any collections activity in the file, and she sees nothing. I ask how I can prove this, did they have a paper they can send me? no. since I have no accounts she ca n't send anything. And I should check my credit report to see I have not reports from XXXX. I do, and see Cavalry has a collections against me, prompting me to check the county courts. I see now I have a court date, that I have not been made aware of coming up. I will dispute this in court now.

I foun d out this was still on there after my landlord allowed the home we was in go into foreclosure and I tried to purchase that house. I was denied a loan so me and the kids literally we go sat out on the street and lost everything. Cavalry SPV I LLC have the information in their system and they also sent me a copy of the " Satisfaction of Judgment '' paper and told me to take that to the bank and that the bank would see that I paid it. I have call this company over and over and they will not take it off. Now yesterday I call again and the representative told me to forward him a copy of the same form that they sent me. I did as he asked but informed him that it 's their responsibility to update the credit report. This is so unfair because I had a debt and I paid it in full and they are not doing their part. I am asking the CFPB to help me in this matter. I will upload a copy of the satisfaction of judgment. Thank you in advance

Complaint: In XXXX there was a XXXX credit card opened in my name, when I found out about the credit card I took immediate action. I contacted XXXX to inform them the account was opened illegally and that I would be sending a police report over to confirm what I was saying. In XXXX and in XXXX I sent an Affidavit of fraud along with a police report to help me get this off my credit. The company stated that they never received the package which is untrue because someone signed for the information. In XXXX the debt was sold to Calvary Portfolio Services and when I learned about this, I contacted XXXX to inquire about it. I spoke with XXXX and he was unable to bring up any information in regards to the account and stated that the collection agency should not be collecting on an account he cant bring up. The worse thing about this, is every time I dispute this account with the credit bureaus, XXXX always verifies the account which is strange because they could n't even bring up the information when I called to inquire about the account. This negative account has prevented my from taking out a student loan to continue my daughters private school education and it has also prevented me from moving my family into a better community. The company recently sent me a letter stating that they have closed the account and all collection activity will stop, however the damage has already been done. This company has been trying to illegally collect on an account that is n't even mine. They continued to verify the information with the credit bureaus, when in fact they have n't been able to prove this is my account.

To date this company has intentionally negated my very specific request. I only had enough money to pay my house and utilities. I was diagnosed with XXXX XXXX in XXXX , and I was still grieving the loss of my husband. I had been XXXX free for 10 years, but when I my husband died the XXXX came back due to grief. And it was more grief when I no longer could pay on my credit card account. I am on a fixed income and i still ca n't pay it. Collection agencies will cease collection efforts if the person can explain their financial hardship. Well with the government taking away my husband military pay has caused me a severe hardship. My credit should n't be ruined because of my husbands death which has put me in a tight spot.
