Complaint: I sent QWR to Carrington mortage. I requested the owner of the note and all assingments. To answer the question why in XXXX/XXXX/16 besed on Carrington letter some one would of purchase the Mortage that was over five years knowing that the statute of limitation in florida is five years.THe QWR askes for backup of the escrows for insurance and taxes and provide no cancelled checks or reson for having escrow. The escrow are wrong. XXXX in partucular is for force place insurance of XXXX form the same insuarnce I had insurance with XXXX. My insurace was {$3400.00} and the price of the foce place insurance was XXXX. This is fraud. Why would a bank spend more money on insurance when thay have the old policies with ther renews to renew which are less expensive than force place insurance. The mortgage companies are in business to make a profit. thus spending less makes more money. It is aganst there charter to spend more on insurance and make less money.The amounts onwing are incorrect. No back up in provided. The Note holder has been escrowing {$120.00} a month for no reson for over 5 years. The interest which is variable and change each years is wrong. There is not XXXX consisting document. Please have the Note holder provide the documentaion of ownerership along with the copy the the check he purchese the mortage. Someone came by my house taking picture for potential buyers of my mortgage. Why was I not allowed to purchese my mortgage.

Carrington has taken more than 6 months to evaluate this application with a seemingly qualified borrower, but has utterly failed to communicate and to consider this request for mortgage assistance in good faith.

Complaint: I fell behind on my payment and was n't able to pay on time. I called in to make the payment before it fell into foreclosure. They refused the payment insisted i needed to pay 1 and a half payments in order to process. I asked how I was supposed to pay them before the first. ( its the XXXX of XXXX ) ( soonest i could borrow from a family member to catch up ) ( ex fell behind on his settlement due to his work situation changing. ) She said I was able to mail it in. Or do XXXX. She gave me vague instructions for XXXX seeings there was no way possible for the pymt to get there in 1 day thru the mail. After several calls to XXXX XXXX I discovered pymt was to be made thru XXXX by doing some research online. I the successfully made the payment thru XXXX. If this posts online for those of you who have had the same problem and are reading this it is CARRINGTON MORTGAGE HOLDINGS LLC on XXXX. The payment has to be credit card. They charge a fee but posts same day. The lady said it would take XXXX hrs for XXXX to post. Caused great panic for me. I feel they give you no option that is feasible. They almost force you into foreclosure. The other thing that bothered me was that in order to post the one payment they were able to only if I could authorize them to auto draft the other 2 pymts in a week to my acct. Who does that. If I am behind I certainly cant afford the pymt to post without any money in my acct. It was rude for them to not accept the pymt and force me to pay it thru an outside source. I feel they should change this and compensate me for the distress it caused me. I have panic attacks and this affects my daily living. this was not an easy thing for me. The state or government should mandate that they have to accept pymt just like a bank. After 90 days they need payment in full no partial months. They force people into foreclosure at that point. Its very unfair and needs to be addressed. I will be posting this incident online for others to read and hopefully we can get something changed. Thank you

Complaint: Every year Carrington mortgage service increase my monthly payment claiming a projected tax increase which the original monthly payment escrow is more than enough to cover the taxes. The taxes has not increase either. They also increase my monthly payment because they clam that there was not enough in the escrow to cover the taxes.
They also my it difficult to have your monthly payment applied to the account after making a payment. They applied the payment after the grace period so that they can charge a late fee even thou you have prove that the payment was made in plenty of time. I have asked them to stop calling me but they continue to call for nonsense.

Complaint: We received a FINAL NOTICE from the City of XXXX that our property taxes were not paid for the tax year XXXX. We had no idea, as we pay through escrow with Carrington Mortgage company. Apparently Carrington did not pay our property taxes, and now the City of XXXX is planning on selling the lien to our house if these taxes are not paid. We have contacted Carrington multiple times. They have said that it was their fault and they should pay, then they said, they could n't get in touch with XXXX City. We are now a couple days away from the final pay date, and the bill has not been paid, and we are probably going to lose our home. We have NEVER, in 12 years even been late on a mortgage payment. This is unacceptable.

Complaint: My mortgage with XXXX XXXX XXXX was sold to Carrington Mortgage Services in XXXX 2016. Beginning with my XXXX 2016 mortgage payment, I started making my payments directly to Carrington and it has been a non-stop litany of problems since then. I have yet to receive a payment coupon book. I have now made 3 timely monthly payments, per the terms of my mortgage, yet none are posted correctly without a lot of intervention on my part. I receive harassing calls at work at least once a week saying my account is delinquent despite the money arriving there on time or ahead of schedule. I 've also received at least one delinquency letter. I have yet to receive a XXXX form for 2016 for my taxes. Their website lists one monthly amount due yet their customer service reps indicate another amount is due ( the difference lying in the escrow payment ... not late fees, principal or interest ). I feel this is a pattern of behavior designed at best to generate additional revenues in fees, and at worst, to create an event of default allowing them to take my home despite my making all of my payments on time. My only proof of payment is my bank statements and receipts generating by their website when I make the payments, but I am afraid this will be insufficient in the event that I need to rely on them. At this point I am debating refi-ing my house in the hopes of never having to deal with Carrington again, although they seem to play games during the refi process as well. I am a highly educated, gainfully employed XXXX. I hold a XXXX and know many attorneys through my job and in my personal life ... I do n't know at this point my best option is to send an attorney letter to them or what my best course of action is as I feel powerless over what Carrington chooses to do with my payments and what they choose not to do. The BBB website has at least XXXX pages of complaints very similar to mine ... most of them stemming from mortgage transfers by XXXX and XXXX ... and the company has a XXXX disapproval rating. There are many, many complaints against them on other legitimate, reputable sites as well. I got your web address from the FTC in hopes that you can intervene in some fashion. Their business practices are most definitely predatory and likely intentionally unethical.

Complaint: I recently called to request a mortgage statement. I was notified that my account was flagged due to BK. Which is a bit incorrect. Filed Ch XXXX/Discharged in XX/XX/XXXX, Mtg not included. I was told I had to send them a written notice to get my statements turned back on. I know this is incorrect because we get monthly statements. Just not consistently. We are purchasing a new home and they needed this. I asked to be transferred to BK dept. I was on hold for over 10 minutes. The lady came back on the line and said, " I can not reach anyone they must be experiencing high call volume, what is it you need? '' I replied, I just need that monthly statement! '' I explained to her that my husband had called the previous night and they agreed to fax both months statements, but then I was told that she had submitted it for approval and it was denied. This makes no sense!!
Then, I found out they reported that we filed a BK in XX/XX/XXXX, which is absolutely absurd. We have not spoken about, attempted, filed, etc. One and only time was XX/XX/XXXX. I call to ask for a letter to confirm house was not in BK so we can close on new home. They again said, " need a written statement ''. I replied, " Not that again '' Then asked to speak to a manager. Of course, after being on hold for 10 minutes. I hung up. What bothers me more is I can go online, see some of my account. Get payoff requests, see last 12 months payment history, but ca n't get a simple monthly statement? We have never been late, not prior or after BK EVER!

Complaint: To Whom It Made Concern, This issue is concerning, ( CMS ) " Carrington Mortgage Services. '' In the beginning of XX/XX/2017, I requested that the FHA mortgage insurance premium ( MIP ) to be removed from my monthly payment due qualifying for its removal under Federal Guidelines. CMS responded to my written request on XX/XX/2017, with approval to my request. Although in their correspondence, they stated the payment would be adjusted accordingly, I feel the adjustment is rather-tardy and with XX/XX/2017 payment approaching ( 2 ) two months over due. My property taxes and property insurance premium are unchanged so I feel this issue should be expedited and not delayed. I only receive ( 15 ) fifteen days grace before {$94.00} dollars is added to my monthly mortgage payment, so a short grace should be exercised also. Further, I refuse to have the extra {$180.00} dollars added to the required Escrow Account for the disbursement ( taxes/insurance ) unless I 'm going to receive an agreed upon documented interest rate on the extra funds ; which will not happen. ( CMS ) please expedite the adjustment of my monthly mortgage payment from {$2300.00}. Lastly, I attempted to contact ( CMS ) Customer Services several times via XXXX only to receive PRE-RECORED VOICEMAIL which stated sorry busy right now call back later. Hopefully, ( CMS ) can rectify these issues sooner then later promoting a better working relationship with consumer base. Documents submitted for perusal.

Complaint: I have had my mortgage since XXXX, and in - or around - XX/XX/XXXX my mortgage was sold to Carrington Mortgage. I had applied to do a loan modification with XXXX prior to them selling the mortgage to Carrington. However, Carrington did in fact complete the remodification after they obtained my loan. Ever since my mortgage has been sold to Carrington, I have been having issues every month when making my payment. Their website always gave me trouble with logging in to make the payment, so I call in to process them over the phone every month. I make sure that I call in the payments at least a couple of days before the first of the month to avoid any complications with it being late. Each and every time I call, the representatives tell me that I have a payment missing from the previous month. Because of that, I always ask for the representative 's names, and I get the confirmation number that the payment had been made. Every time I call, and they begin stating that a payment is missing, I provide the confirmation number from the previous month. Once I state that, they continue on and process my payment, but never do they confirm that the month they stated was missing was in fact received. On XX/XX/XXXX I called to make my XX/XX/XXXX payment, and again, they told me that I did n't make a XXXX payment. Which I had, on XX/XX/XXXX for XX/XX/XXXX. I provided the confirmation nuber again. It seems odd that this is a normal occurrence every single month when I call to make my payment. I then faxed a letter to their customer relations department to have them look into why this happens every month, and I received a letter that advised that I had a missing payment and late fees/charges on my account and they were going to review my loan. I have never been late on my payments, and I have never missed a payment. I 'm concerned that there is something more going on than simple incompetence at this point. Once or twice of this happening could be understandable when they first received my loan, but this has been going on for close to two years now where every single month it 's the same story. I have attached every document that you may need in order to review this for me if possible. I have attached my bank statements, however, for the month of XXXX I was still with XXXX so it would only allow me to show the Activity Details for that payment but you will see it is the same amount as the first few payments to Carrington starting in XXXX. Some months XXXX payments show on the statement. One in the beginning of the month ( for the current month ) and one at the end of the month ( for the following month ). I have attached the letter from Carrington with the review of my account, which they provided what they said is my payment history which does n't make sense either, and I have attached my handwritten documentation of when I had made each payment.

Complaint: During the time from my original date of building my home, father deeded me ( .XXXX acres ) dated XX/XX/XXXX from the XXXX acres he originally purchased on XX/XX/XXXX. I have refinanced my home since the original date of obtaining property, which this took place on XX/XX/XXXX during this time the closing attorney staff ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) did not examine my portion of the legal description ( .XXXX acres ) closely and ending up including the parcel that did not belong to me.
Sometime back in XX/XX/XXXX my sister made an attempt to mortgage her portion of the property during a title examination, and discovered the mortgage lien was attached to her property. This being said ; has made the entire Mortgage Note ( Carrington Mortgage services ) invalid since it included an executed instrument on a parcel that did not belong to me.
I have made several attempts in contacting both the mortgage servicer and the attorney in trying to resolve this matter. This has been very XXXX for the past 9 month for both my sister and I with the failed attempts in resolving.

I was informed by the customer service rep ( XXXX ID # XXXX ) that due to my mortgage loan being transferred from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX 2016 I would not be receiving XXXX. I informed the customer service rep that I made a mortgage payment of {$1000.00} on XXXX XXXX. Also as of XXXX XXXX, 2016 Carrington Mortgage Services paid {$3000.00} to XXXX County for taxes. Complaint: I humbly request assistance resolving concerns I 'm having with my mortgage company, CARRINGTON MORTGAGE ( CM ). They have forced Homeowners Hazard Insurance ( HHI ) upon me for several years and I 'm having numerous complications with CM 's billing practices. One concern is the yearly charge on the monthly statement and on the escrow reviews from CM state that the charge is {$540.00} for HHI. However, the HHI policy declaration from XXXX states that the yearly charge is {$530.00}. That nearly a {$5.00} per year overcharge. The second complication is also a billing issue concerning HHI. It started XX/XX/XXXX. I was charged 3 times for HHI. {$720.00}. XX/XX/XXXX, {$380.00} XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX {$720.00}. I then received XXXX different escrow review statements XX/XX/XXXX, with no explanation on why I received the second review. I started the year paying {$660.00} per month. The 1st escrow review was sent XX/XX/XXXX. My payment changed to {$630.00}. The 2nd review was received XX/XX/XXXX. My payment changed to {$640.00}. I called customer service to request a review because I was paying extra money with each monthly payment and I did n't see that applied on the escrow review. They " found '' {$330.00} in an unapplied funds account. Afterward, I received the final review, my payment changed to {$620.00}. There were XXXX different HHI disbursements on those XXXX escrow reviews. {$720.00} XX/XX/XXXX, {$410.00} XX/XX/XXXX, {$380.00} XX/XX/XXXX, {$380.00} XX/XX/XXXX. The problems expanded XX/XX/XXXX. CM began the cycle of sending placed and cancelled HHI policy declarations for 3 months in a row. example : XX/XX/XXXX received NOTICE OF LENDER PLACED HHI. XX/XX/XXXX received NOTICE OF REFUND AND CANCELLATION OF LENDER PLACED HHI. There was never a refund amount because CM " were unable to verify coverage for the following reason : The information you have provided does not indicate that you have a refund due ''. On the XX/XX/XXXX monthly statement I had XXXX HHI disbursements. XX/XX/XXXX {$540.00}. XX/XX/XXXX {$44.00} & XX/XX/XXXX {$44.00}. On the XX/XX/XXXX statement {$540.00} was charged for HHI. I called customer service to question the charges. The rep informed me that the payment was for the XX/XX/XXXX HHI that was never paid. She alleged that I had not paid the HHI for the previous year and that they had failed to notice it until now. I questioned how CM could bill me a year after the payment was supposed to be made even though I could provide statements that I was billed for HHI several times. The rep instructed me to put my request in writing and fax it to the research dept. She stated that the HHI dept was outsourced and that they had nothing to do with the billing. I wrote a request and sent it the following day and I 'm still waiting to hear back from CM. The pattern of overcharging continued into XX/XX/XXXX. On my XX/XX/XXXX statement I had XXXX HHI disbursement charges XX/XX/XXXX {$89.00} & XX/XX/XXXX {$44.00}. XX/XX/XXXX I procured my own HHI. XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX I received in the mail NOTICE OF REFUND AND CANCELLATION OF LENDER PLACED HHI. It stated that a refund of {$1.00} was credited to my account. A premium of {$350.00} was charged for the time the policy was in place. I called customer service and spoke with XXXX # XXXX & XXXX on the escalations team. I questioned why the refund was only {$1.00} since I was charged {$540.00} for the policy and only {$350.00} was deducted. I questioned as to the monthly and yearly charges that still appeared on my monthly statements. I was shocked when XXXX stated that customer service was only there to take payments and not to answer questions like these. She gave me the standard company policy excuse of writing a letter to research. I decided to write to you instead. I 'm hoping by writing this letter I can get some clarification from my mortgage company concerning their billing practices. I 've gotten no response from CM and I feel like I have no recourse for their blatant overcharging for my HHI. I will provide all escrow reviews and HHI documents upon request.Thank you in advance.
