Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: I provide XXXX XXXX and get paid via credit card. Before I accepted the payments, I called my credit card issuers and asked them what is the safest way to get paid and not worry about fraud, as in the past when I got paid by checks, the checks bounced. So I wasclearly instructed not to give any card or banking information. I was told to take the company banking info for payment with a written authorisation to process the payments. I followed the instructions step by step, received the payments, and four and an half months later the credit card companies ( 3 of them ) say that the payments were reversed and that I have to pay back the balance, as it is not their problem to collect the original funds. I called many times and attempted to explain that there is a written authorisation for the mentioned transaction, and that I followed their instructions on payment but they refuse to help and now my credit is getting badly hit. I don't know what else to do. Thank you for your attention to this matter

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: I was contacted at work twice about a debt with Barclay Bank by their collection agency XXXX. I was told i had a debt of {$3600.00} which was {$840.00} over my credit limit. The account had been charged off but I only had a maximum delinquency of 120 days as reported by XXXX, but on XXXX it was reported delinquency for more than 180 days. These are inaccurate reporting. XXXX debt collector came to a settlement with me which I paid I was assured by the collector the account would be removed upon settlement, but after further contact they would just add a note on my report that it was paid, and would not be deleted this is misleading and violation of debt collection act. I later find out the original charge off was {$2800.00} as reported by the credit reporting bureaus. So i was lied to about the charge off amount when i requested validation I just received a paper with a balance on it and no account of the debt. That is not proper validation as required by the law, Their are too many inaccuracies i just want your company to delete the account of my credit report I have settled and made my payments. You can not mislead the consumers and have inaccurate reporting. On XXXX the charge off is still {$3600.00} updated charge off are not the same. Even with updated charge off my account should be settled and deleted like the collection agent said over the phone.

Impersonated attorney, law enforcement, or government official
Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX sent me a letter stating I owed Barclay 's Card money. I sent a validation letter stating I needed the signed contract that showed I agreed to pay. Also that I needed their license number to show the can legally collect in my state. Also that I would need 30 days upon receiving the information to investigate and that they have to stop all collection activity during the investigation period. They sent me back bills from the credit card company. They did not show any documentation with my signature showing I agreed to pay what they said I owe. Also did not send any license number whether it be their attorney license number or debt collections number. the letterhead says the offices of XXXX XXXX XXXX and also ends with that with no signature. I found that XXXX XXXX hasn't had anything to do with the company since 2007 and is not a member of the bar anymore. The company also isn't registered as a debt collector with my state. I have received papers for a lawsuit. Still on those papers no attorney is named just the law office. Since I'm not being sued by an attorney or member of the bar but instead from a company operating as a debt collection agency that company needs to be registered to collect in my state. Under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act this company is acting in deceiving ways which is against the law. This company and the one they represent still are reporting negative information to the 3 major credit bureau 's though failed to validate the debt again a violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act as well as Fair Credit Reporting Act. It is also defamation of character. I know of many others who have filed complaints as well. This company is a fraud and needs to be shut down!

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: I spoke with someone, this morning in the disputes department of Barclay Card. Not only was she condescending and kept interrupting, her responses and tone can tell she didn't care, frustrated and unprofessional.
I was charged for a XXXX rental, that was prepaid, with mileage I earned on their card with their partnership through XXXXThe rep I spoke to today told me they have nothing to do with them, though, they sold me the card because of their joint relationship.I was charged almost {$500.00} for the rental that wasn't suppose to be.And for the last three weeks, have been given the run around by both XXXX, XXXX and of course Barclay card.
Their ethics of doing business with customers ( at least for me ) is reckless, irresponsible, unprofessional and not obscure.
Their responses to issues are so bad.In XX/XX/XXXX, my card was fraudulently used and it took them a week to notify me, not by e-mail or phone but via text but you want to get paid on time but fail to neglect your duties to customers

Didn't receive advertised or promotional terms
Complaint: Hello, I was recently on an XXXX XXXX flight back from XXXX ( DC ) to XXXX ( XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX. I was presented with a promotional offer for an XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX card. The flight attendant first mentioned the promotional terms verbally ; she listed off all the advantages, one of which was an introductory 0 % APR for 12 months. They they handed out promotional flyers with those terms on them as well, the introductory 0 % APR for 12 months was also included on this too.
So, I filled out the form and applied for the card. Once approved, I then immediately called in to set up the recurring payments and confirm by bonus miles ( I am not sure of the exact date but it was a few weeks after my flight, it was the date that I set up auto draft so should be easy to locate ). The agent set up the recurring payments, confirmed my bonus miles usage and even confirmed that my intro APR was not just 12 months but 18 instead! I was very happy with that. However, it was not until my recent statement that I saw an interest charge ... .so I called in ( today XX/XX/XXXX ) and the agent told me I only had a 15 month into APR of 0 % but ONLY for balance transfers, not purchases. This was not specified on the promotional material at all or even with the agent I spoke to later when setting up my recurring payments.
I felt that I was mislead intentionally to take out this card. This is a ver unfair and deceptive practice and XXXX & XXXX should be held accountable.

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: My credit card was skimmed / stolen and there were many fraudulent charges on my card. Barclaycard US identified the charges as fraudulent and removed them from my account. 10 days later the fraudulent charge posted. I called to get it removed, so they credited me. Then they posted the charge again. So I called again. They removed it once again. Then it posted ... again. So I called and they removed it ... for a third time. Then the charge posted once again. I have called 7 times and no one will help me resolve this issue at Barclay and it is incredibly unfair I am being charged for a fraudulent charge. Barclay has acknowledged that I should not be responsible for the charge but they still will not remove it even after they say they will and I have no idea what else I can do at this point which is why I am filing this complaint.
