Complaint: While in XXXX, a gas station attendant stole my credit card and fraudulently charged to it. I immediately disputed the charges with Barclaycard. Barclaycard sent me a letter saying that they investigated the transaction and their research indicated the transaction was valid. The letter says that the results of their investigation were enclosed with the letter, but nothing was enclosed. I called to resolve the dispute and spent over 1 hour on the phone, mostly on hold being bounced between departments because Barclaycard could not figure out whether this was fraud or not. I still have not received resolution on this matter. Is their strategy to make customers hold for so long that they eventually give up?

Unsolicited issuance of credit card

Credit card:

Complaint: The XXXX XXXX Credit card was owned and managed by XXXX XXXX. I was at one time an XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I canceled my XXXX XXXX credit card several months ago. Apparently, the XXXX XXXX card has recently been purchased by Barclaycard. Without asking, Barclaycard sent me another card, on the account that I had canceled. I did not activate this new card or reopen a new account. My prior account had already been closed and canceled by me. Barclaycard is now saying they will charge me an annual fee on this new card - the one that I canceled and never reapplied for. Basically, they are starting a line of credit in my name, that has an annual fee attached, without asking, and on the basis of an account I had previously closed. I will call and cancel the already canceled card once more, but I should not have to take time to do this again. Additionally, how do I know they will not reactivate my account again without permission? Please address this unethical, and I assume illegal activity.

Complaint: Barclays charged me for a late fee for a card I never applied for or ever used. I had an XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX card I used. I had used the card on a transaction for {$27.00} in XXXX. I paid XXXX XXXX when my bill came in as I always do. Never late. Unbenounced to me, XXXX XXXX had switched these cards to Barclay. Barclay issued me a card, which I threw away. They assumed the charge and then added a late fee. I never authorized Barclays to send me a card, I never made a charge with them and never owed them money. I paid my bill on time. I got a bill from Barclays for late payment. This was actually equal to the amount owed {$27.00}. I called Barclays, cancelled my card and challenged the fee. They jept me on the phone, trying to sell me products but never addressed my issue. I would like to know how a company can sign me up for a credit card and then charge me late fees for money I never used from them. I never activated the card or used it and I paid my bill on time to the company I made the charge with.

Complaint: I had a XXXX card through Barclay bank 2 years ago. There was a fraud after the second time of use. I did not use until XXXX or XXXX 2015. Immediately, someone was using the card on XXXX XXXX. I got a phone call and email to remind me that was a possible fraud in XXXX, the amount is about {$110.00} for gasoline and pizza, while I was at home in XXXX. I called to confirm the fraud and asked to cancel the card. However, it was nightmare that the payment due reminder kept sending to me. I called more than 5 times to tell the bank that was fraud and the card was cancelled. It continued to email to me for more than 6 months. I also received tons of magazines but the name was not my name. I am not sure if they are related. Now, I received a Letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX says that the card debt is {$440.00} and the account is listed as delinquent. Very scary and annoying. Please advise what I have to do. Thanks.

Complaint: XX/XX/2016, I filed a complaint with FDIC. XX/XX/2016 FDIC sent me an email informing me of the following : " Based on our review of the issues you raise in your correspondence, we believe your concerns should be referred to the CFPB for assistance. We have taken the liberty of forwarding your correspondence to the CFPB at the address below. '' CFPB should have recieved the correspondence by now. I attempted to call CFBP today XXXX MST and the automated recording said CFBP was closed & disconneted call. My complaint is very simple : I refinanced my house, in the process the Mortgage company agreed to pay off my credit card accounts. I received XXXX checks from the mortgage company, XXXX check payable to Credit One Bank for {$640.00} & the other to Barclays for {$760.00}. Both of these financial institutions have the same mailing address with the exception of the XXXX. XXXX. I got the checks confused, I ended up putting the Barclay 's check in the XXXX mailing envelope and the XXXX check in the Barclay mailing envelope. XX/XX/2016 I brought this matter to Barclay & XXXX attention, since then XXXX has resolved this error however Barclay has been giving me the run around. I have contacted Barclays several times. I spoke to XXXX ; XXXX ; XXXX ; 2 XXXX supervisors ; & several Customer Service Representatives whom all told me they will look into it & someone from Barclay would call me back which never happen thus justifying all the calls I made to Barclay. These calls I made to Barclay started in XXXX through XXXX & Finally in XXXX. The last call I made Barclay in XXXX Barclay told me it would take 90 days for XXXX XXXX to return to return the check to the Mortgage Company. This is the same information they told me in XXXX, XXXX & XXXX. I suggested more than once for Barclay to write a check to the Mortgage Company & the matter would be resolved but Barclay said it would take 90 days. This matter has taken more time than what is to be considered a reasonable of time which is unacceptable. This means Barclay will take 6 months from the date I reported this error to their attention to which I have doubts. I can not understand why Barclay has n't written a {$640.00} check to the Mortgage Company. I am reaching out to CFPB for relief & expedite the return of {$640.00} Barclay has no business holding up due to their bureaucratic excuses. It should n't take this long for Barclay or any Financial Institute to return funds that is n't theres to the appropriate bearer of the funds. I no longer know what to do or who to reach out to. I have called Barclays so many time I lost count, I have spoken to several Barclay representatives, Manages, & Supervisors from XXXX through XXXX & all I got was the run around and delay tactics which is unacceptable. It has been more than a reasonable of time for Barclay to return funds they are not entitled to & return to its rightful bearer. My concerns & arguments are merely based on principle & poor business practices than personal. The purpose for paying off my credit card accounts was to improve & repair my FICO & credit scores with the Credit Bureaus however, the delay tactics & buracracy Barclay has implemented is impacting my credit score. If there is anything XXXX could do to expedite the return of the {$640.00} would be appreciated.

Complaint: I filed the dispute with Barclays Bank concerning the charge made by XXXX to my account XXXX XXXX, 2015 for {$14000.00}. The dispute was filled out over the phone by one of their representatives as I was not given the option nor was it available to fill out the form over the Internet. Of everything I said, the company chose to use non-receipt of merchandise is the reason for the dispute. They have completely ignored all the evidence that the merchant presented himself as XXXX XXXX XXXX former XXXX XXXX -- which are both false, plus he lacks any certification by the state of Arizona to treat people with XXXX much less sell them. Barclays continues to side with merchant now says that the laser is available for pickup once I paid {$28000.00} - part of the reason that I filed a dispute in the first place was the merchant failed to deliver the merchandise on time twice and made up excuses that were out of his hands to justify failure. Barclays refuses to explain or justify why they have chosen to ignor the majority of my evidence nor why they are not allowing me to go to arbitration as per MasterCard agreement.

Complaint: In XXXX 2015, I mistakenly missed to make a payment with my Barclays card. I never missed a payment before, however in that month I was going a personal issues and stress out, such my partner losing his job and my son having medical issues. I honest forgot to make my payment. I say that not to justify why the payment was late, but rather to show that the late payment are not a good indicator of my actual credit worthiness. I hope that Barclays is willing to work with me on erasing this mark from my credit reports.

Complaint: In 2014 I made a purchase from XXXX and used the Barclaycard deferred interest promotion. Each month I received an email telling me the minimum due on my account. I paid that every month and then received an email stating that my payment was accepted. I never received an email alerting me that my promotion was about to expire. On your website it states that Barclaycard has to alert me that my promotional period is up on the cover page of my statement. This alert is on page XXXX. I would like to have the {$970.00} rescinded and to pay off my account in full. How can I make this happen?

Complaint: Barclays placed an unathorized rebill on my account. They may have spoken with someone at my home, but did not speak with me. I did not authorize a rebill. I have no idea why a rebill was exectured. I called to dispute this charge. I 've reported this charge as fraudulent. They resolutely refuse to refund the amount or to investigate the rebill as fraud. They refuse to process it as a dispute or to conduct a fraud investigation. They also have hung up on me during calls and refused to explain this process to me.
