Complaint: Back in 2009 I had a student loan that was issued before the federal aid was able to be applied. When the federal aid was applied, the loan was refunded back to Conduent but my federal student aid account still shows an outstanding balance for the original loan. When Ive spoken to their loan service rep, they said that the loan was refunded and that I dont owe anything and would send the corrected information to NLDS to reflect that I dont have a balance but they never did.

Old information reappears or never goes away
Complaint: This debt appears on my credit report by a third party lender. I initially requested to know who the loan originator was and denied that information. I have requested to have this information removed as the account has been added to my debt consolidation loan in XX/XX/2015. Once my loans were consolidated it should be a violation of my rights for them to continue to report it. I have contacted ACS/ XXXX/ Conduent regarding my student loan and I have disputed it with the credit reporting agencies ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX ) and the student loan companies are stating that the information is accurate and refuse to remove it from my account. ACS/ XXXX/ Conduent told me that they have no accounts associated with my social security number. When I have them dig deeper they find accounts that are closed, paid in full. However ; they still appear on my credit report as a negative. When contacted, they told me that even though they accepted full payment and closed the account, the missed payments continue to be negative on my account. XXXX XXXX has my student loans in debt consolidation and it shows in good standing on my credit report. What is the point of paying off any debt if you have ever missed a payment? Companies can do whatever they want to consumers and it's basically too bad.

Don't agree with the fees charged
Complaint: I have student loan with XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX earlier ).
I am making regular scheduled payments or auto draft from my bank account. I noticed that all the payments goes toward the interest and nothing toward the loan principle.
Contacted the company for explanation and the agent but was not able to give straight answer and stated later will see reduction on my principle.
There is no explanation or monthly bill from them and on their web site just have the payment history.
Recently, after being frustrated with their practice, I re-finance my loan. But I was charged more interest again could not get any answer either by trying to call the company or getting on their web site

Complaint: I finally paid off my perkins loan through ACS in 2017. ACS sent me an email that my tax form is available online only. I go to sign in to retrieve the form and I learn that ACS is now managed by Conduent.
Every time I try to sign in it says the site is currently unavailable for the past month. So I try to reset password and it says I do not have an account there. Then I try to register and it says I have an account already.
I try to call their customer care center and it is just an automated service with only ONE option - to hear your account summary. But they can not find the account.
I try to email them, but it just says " Thank you for your feedback '' and no response for weeks.
I want my tax form for this loan I finally paid off! Please help.

Can't get other flexible options for repaying your loan
Complaint: Since XX/XX/2018 I have been trying to defer my student loans due to hardships. Conduent requested documents and each time I sent in a document they said it was not good enough or did not have the enough information. In the past when defer my student loan those same documents worked just fine period now because they have dragged the situation out this long my loan is now in default. I have no information of who to talk to about getting my student loan to a current state. I was even told I have 13 months left for hardships. When asked I Conduent who will be taking over my account they said they had no information I should just wait for a phone call from the lender.

Don't agree with the fees charged
Complaint: The interest rate and charges are WAY to high, I have been paying my loan for years, 8 to be exact and it has not even put a dent in my balance. I am getting no where on this, and don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, I am very frustrated. Please help me! Also, not to mention, this is the 3rd time the loan company has switched or transferred names.

Problem with customer service
Complaint: This complaint involves two issues. The first issue I had was that Conduent loan services did not credit my account with the correct amount that I had paid. They had shorted me by about {$250.00}. After multiple phone calls, first to XXXX, ID number XXXX, and then to XXXX, ID number XXXX, the issue was finally resolved. It took way longer, about a month to resolve this, than it should have. Thankfully, I pay attention to my records, or would never have known about this issue. The second issue I had was receiving another borrowers personal information in the mail. I opened the mail, as it was sent to my address and I have loans serviced by Conduent, so I thought they had put the wrong name on the correspondence. Upon opening the mail, I realized it was someone elses application, with her personal information on it. I was horrified to think that someone might get a copy of my personal identification and financial information in this way. I called Conduent to report this error and the customer service rep was extremely rude and said clearly the mail was addressed to someone else, as if it were my problem that I opened mail from a servicer I use that was sent to my address. He told me to return to sender. I asked his name and ID number and he hung up on me. This was on XX/XX/2018. I am extremely concerned that an organization such as Conduent is handling money and personal information from me and many others. My confidence in this companys professionalism and financial management capabilities is extraordinarily low.

Complaint: I have been receiving phone calls from multiple numbers and none of them leaving voicemails. I finally decided to answer one and its someone on the other line telling me that I'm 100+ days overdue on my payment and if I would like to make a payment over the phone. I wasn't born yesterday obviously I started asking questions. They had confirmed that they are a collector on behalf of ACS and/or Conduent. I had told them I have never heard of them nor have I received mail of a payment due, late notice of payment, second notice of payment, or even a collection notice. I ended up calling my school about the first week of XX/XX/XXXX and left a message. Just today I got a hold of them and asked to see if they knew who ACS or Conduent is and my school confirmed they are indeed one of the lenders. So I called today and asked them to send me some sort of bill or payment notice or something. I was a student and am making better of life. To better my life and my family we moved out of state, but my mother-in-law lives at my previous residence. The USPS uses mail forwarding that I am currently using. So there is no excuse for me not to receive my mail. Apparently they have already messed up my credit. This is not right. I'm suppose to use telepathy to know who to pay my loan.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: On or about XX/XX/XXXX, I began receiving collection notices from ACS-Conduent, for a debt owed to XXXX XXXX. At first, I ignored the notice because I believed I did not owe the money.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I called ACS-Conduent and asked that they please stop sending me notices because I do not owe any money. I called 2 more times that day.
I was told a couple of this with my communication with them.
1. I was told to contact XXXX XXXX and ask to provide a copy of the Promissory Note 2. I was told that they received the debt in XXXX of XXXX by a XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX. I was also advised by a representative named XXXX to contact the U.S. Dept. of Education for information regarding my debt.
3. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted the Department of Education and was informed of a balance listed for a Perkins Loan for Loan Period XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. The balance listed is {$230.00}.
4. I was informed by the Dept. of Education that the loan/debt had NO Executor listed.
5. I also began calling XXXX XXXX beginning XX/XX/XXXX. At first they could not find that I owed any money but eventually found the Perkins Loan on the Federal Student Aid website. They did see that they are listed as the owners of the loan. I have also been trying to resolve this issue with XXXX XXXX which is currently XXXX XXXX - XXXX. My contact there is the Finacial Aid administrator XXXX XXXX.
The problem I'm having is, although the balance of the loan is being investigated by XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX, ACS-Conduent has taken it upon themselves to come after me for a debt found on a government student loan website, which is public information, without having the legal authority to do so. They claim that XXXX XXXX is their point of contact for XXXX XXXX when they received the debt in XX/XX/XXXX. The problem is, XXXX XXXX, according to the financial aid admin XXXX at XXXX has not been with RETS in over 3 years prior to my calls in XXXX.
My suspicion is that ACS-Conduent is helping themselves to " found money '' as public information found on the student loan government website without then actually representing XXXX XXXX as confirmed by XXXX and XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX. They use a different collection agency to handle their collections.
If XXXX XXXX does not have a business relationship with ACS-Conduent, how is it possible that they ( ACS-Conduent ) can collect as their ( XXXX XXXX ) representatives?
