Complaint: I have a prepaid account with the Netspend prepaid XXXX by the XXXX XXXX, where I have received my school refunds through direct deposit for the past XXXX semesters ( last deposit being XX/XX/2017 ), as well as other deposits. Last week on the XX/XX/2017 I found out that there was a fraudulent transaction on my card and worked to resolve that. my Card was however canceled and so I Have no way of accessing my money in the amount of {$3800.00}. I have also suspected some fraudulent transactions on the same account in the past XXXX months, but efforts to tract this are been frustrated by the customer service representatives through the following phone # XXXX, of which I have spoken to a dozen of them already including today XX/XX/2017, and have spoken with XXXX representatives who pretend to transfer me to a supervisor, and dropped the phone on me. Obviously they are not willing to resolve this issues and I need your office to intervene urgently.

This type of advertisement is dangerous as the card could easily be activated without my consent. I tried to contact the company, but am unable to reach a representative at any of their numbers.

Complaint: XX/XX/2016, I notice a unauthorized foreign transaction was pending on my PayPal prepaid card, I immediately alerted PayPal prepaid and they did nothing about it. I researched the charge and learned that the charge has been reported by a lot of people as suspicious and fraud. Then PayPal prepaid took it upon themselves to cancel that card without my consent, without giving me a chance to pull the rest of the money I had in the account out, and they left me with no way at all to access the funds, they did this to me At the worst possible time which was XX/XX/XXXX, they left me broke and and I did n't get to celebrate or enjoy the holidays at all. They cause me so much hardship and had me waste so much time and energy everyday for the next 3 weeks calling them trying to access my funds. They would have me On hold for hours, reconnect me to another person several times and they would just hang up on me. They also caused my XXXX account to closed down because they would not approve the wire transfer I had scheduled, even though I had enough money for the transfer, causing me to go negative {$220.00}, and because of another transfer they did n't approve I was unable to pay off a loan from lendup and now I owe even more money. I first talked to them XX/XX/XXXX, they told me I would be updated about the situation XX/XX/XXXX, when XX/XX/XXXX came they told me I 'd have to wait till XX/XX/XXXX now. It 's starting to feel like they were the one that did the fraud charge, they have not been cooperative at all and they have n't helped me at all, Instead they caused me Even more stress and so much hardship ...

Complaint: A company called NetSpend has twice sent me a debit card in the mail that I did not ask for. From what I understand, they gather people 's personal information, create a debit account in their name, and send them a debit card in the mail. The debit card had a phone number to call to activate the card, but said to just ignore the offer if I did not want it. It bothers me that a company opened a financial account in my name that I did not ask for. No, I did not activate the card, but I believe they would have had to create an account beforehand to be able to send me a card in the mail that was ready to be activated. I think this practice should be illegal. And I believe that it could increase identity fraud if there are financial accounts being created in my name that I am not aware of.

THEY USED MY DEBIT CARD NUMBER AND I WAS CHARGED FOR THESE PRODUCTS. I FILED A DISPUTE WITH ACE ELITE AND THEY REFUSED TO CREDIT MY ACCOUNT. I NEVER RECEIVED THESE PRODUCTS AND I 'M ON A FIXED INCOME AND THEY ARE SAYING THAT THE PRODUCTS WERE DELIVERED. Complaint: I made a purchase at XXXX using my netspend visa card ( prepaid debit ). XXXX service was poor and caused lots of confusion regarding payment and shipping. My account was fine and the money balance was sufficient. My account reflected that the total amount of the purchase was being held/pending.
After no activity for a while I decided to check the account. Once checking I could see that XXXX somehow never took their money ( weeks later ). At the time my account was negative XXXX $ and some change. Netspend deducts their account fees and then takes the money when I direct deposit.
My problem is that my account was already in the negative for weeks and from my understanding XXXX dollars is the negative limit for my prepaid account ... I did n't opt in for overdraft ....
They gave me some story about 'force payment '' ... My point is I did n't have ANY MONEY in the account and it was already negative .... Y did they let my account go XXXX $ in the negative.. It 's pre paid card ... No money means no money ...
Plus the rules that come with card says nothing about " forced payments '' and they said they had no paper work or inform for me about the " forced payment policy " XXXX ...
