Complaint: I received a prepaid small business Master Card debit card in the mail that was unsolicited from NetSpend. I 've never heard of this company and have not applied for a debit/credit card. This company is sending debit cards to people where their identity can be stolen in the future. The card indicated that I needed to activate the debit card.

Company information provided was netSpend for a " consumer partner ''. Transferred multiple time but was unable to actually provide me how they received my information. The first individual was XXXX at ext. XXXX that was unable to close the account or provide me with the information. The next was XXXX ( employee no. XXXX at ext. XXXX ). XXXX accidentally deleted my account number after I asked to speak to her manager. XXXX also briefly me on hold to obtain the information and did not have the information when I return. The financial institution associated with it is trying to defraud me by opening an account in my name without my permission. It is either an attempt to steal money from me or steal my identity. Under the name of 'NETSPEND ' Netspend Corporation XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX XXXX I have been receiving real credit cards under my name without ANY contact by me. They are sending real cards that can be easily intercepted and used without consumers evening knowing they had a credit card in their mailbox.
SImply put, NETSPEND/XXXX is sending out credit cards out to consumers without ANY contact. The implications are very serious as a consumer would not ever know a credit card is on the way without prior knowledge.

Complaint: I need to make very serious complaints against Ace Elite/Netspend XXXX. I have called their corporate office which has ignored my plea for help.
They have violated my consumer rights & cheated me by enabling & allowing a company to cheat me by keeping My money for services I did Not receive. Let me explain ; On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a complaint to Netspend to make them aware the company was stealing money for services I did not receive but that I Paid In Full. I also faxed Netspend evidence. I have included my attachment evidence that I sent to Netspend in this complaint. The 1st email sent to XXXX stated I paid for a month of membership where I was told I would have all access to the XXXX including the pool & swimming lessons. I addressed in this email that 2 swim lessons had already been cancelled. The next email was XXXX admitting that these 2 lessons were cancelled and that I had paid in full for my membership. XXXX email went on to say that she would speak with her superior to see what she could do about the lesson that I paid for which I was being cheated because the XXXX cancelled it. As you can see from the emails, XXXX ignored me for almost 3 weeks, during this time, I was not being allowed to safely use the pool which again, was part of my Paid membership, because the lifeguards refused to do their job during pool hours. Most times there were No lifeguards when I was trying to practice. This is a service I Paid for that I was being denied a right to use. This means, I was also not allowed to use my paid membership. This is a direct violation of my consumer rights. As you can see from the next email evidence XXXX said she would not reimburse me for the cheated swim lesson and ... did not give me the courtesy of mentioning that I was also being denied on being able to use the membership that I had paid in full. I then contacted Netspend to be made whole. I also submitted to Netspend proof of all of my Paid In Full payments. On XX/XX/XXXX, Netspend denied my claim. I called in when I received this denial which was not until XX/XX/XXXX & requested a supervisor, I was transferred to a supervisor who told me her name was XXXX, XXXX hung up on me. Unacceptable. I then was transferred to a supervisor who told me her name is XXXX & that she was located in XXXX TX. I asked her why was my claim denied because I submitted evidence that I was cheated & that I was Not asking for a FULL refund, I was only asking for the amount I was CHEATED. I told XXXX I request an escalation to get a partial refund for only the services I was Cheated. XXXX admitted that she could Not find some evidence that I had already submitted. Outrageous. XXXX said she will start the appeal process for me.On XX/XX/XXXX, I had not heard anything on the appeal, so I called Netspend back & talked to a supervisor who told me her name was XXXX ( female ) and that she was in XXXX TX. XXXX advised me that NO appeal was ever submitted by XXXX. Further Outrageous. XXXX said she would forward my matter to corporate for appeal & resolution.Netspend corporate had been ignoring me since. Egregious. XXXX called me 1 time & because I am a working professional, I would not answer the 1 time they called. I have called & emailed corporate multiple times since & have been ignored. I have called to make very serious complaints to corporate. I 've provided attachment evidence on the emails I sent to corporate & I was ignored with my plea for help for very serious complaints. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called Netspend again & talked to someone who said? .. her name was XXXX located in XXXX TX. I asked for a supervisor, I was denied that right put on & off hold for 30 minutes & then blind transferred to another CSR, Not a supervisor. I am currently still being Cheated. Advise.

Complaint: Was overcharged for a hotel stay on XX/XX/XXXX and have asked for the overcharge of XXXX be credited back to my account. I have provided documentation proving that there was an overcharge and have gone back and forth with Netspend Dispute Resolution Dept for months now without any response or correction of said charges ( see attached information for details ) I am looking for resolution for CLAIM # XXXX - that I have sent numerous requests dated XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX and I get the textbook response that I would be contacted within two business days regarding this claim ... and have yet to hear back from NetSpend regarding this issue..

Complaint: I made a debt purchase at XXXX. I decided to return the purchase but did not have my debt card I used to pay for it. They informed me as long as I used a debit card the refund should go through fine. Netspend reporded the return as fraud. I emailed them the receipt I had as proof it was a transaction I did yet they claim to be unable to release my money. Their claim is that my only option is for the store to certify the return and the netspend will send them funds ( reverse return ). Store claims this is not an available option once the merchandise has been returned. I have been going back and forth with Netspend for a year now to close my account completely. I have run out of options and patience.

Complaint: I received a western union net spend MasterCard in the mail. I waited to activate it because I knew there was a monthly fee. I activated it this morning to gain access to {$30.00} my friend sent me via XXXX. I thought it was easier than having to wait until XXXX opens to get it. I 've got guardianship of 3 children and needed the money quickly. According them, their terms and fees are listed in the paper work sent with the card. I looked over that paper work and only found where a few would be charged monthly. I went to use my card and out of the {$30.00} I got, I was only able spend {$20.00}, meaning they took {$9.00} from me in fees and I only used the card THREE times. They claim credit transactions are {$1.00} and debits are {$2.00}. While on the phone with them this afternoon I was told several different things about these " fees ''. But not only that, I was breaking down the spending and how many times I used the card. IF there was a fee of {$2.00} per debit transaction, then {$4.00} in fees would be subtracted and I used it ONCE with credit ( total of 3 times using the card ) and that should only be {$1.00} fee totaling the fees to {$5.00}. XXXX, which is my main prepaid debit card that I pay no monthly fee or charge fees for took 2 amounts to validate the western union card. That was because I noticed they were taking too much out of my account when using the western union card. For some reason, I could get it validated so I could transfer the money over. The guy said a fee was charged for that and then ended up saying there was no fee for that because it was pending .... but if they charge {$2.00} debit fees, that would total the fees to {$9.00}. Here 's where they contradict themselves ... I had {$30.00} on the card. I used the debit to get {$10.00} in gas. After getting gas, my amount was down to {$18.00} and some change, meaning it was less than a {$2.00} fee they are claiming is taken out for debit transactions. I went to XXXX. My account had {$18.00} and some change. I spent {$3.00} after leaving XXXX my account was down to {$8.00} and some change, that 's about a {$9.00} or {$10.00} fee for using debit and they claim to only take {$2.00}. I went to the gas station and spent {$7.00}. After that my account was down to {$.00} or around that number. I used credit for that transaction and they claim to take {$1.00} for credit transactions yet less than {$1.00} was taken. 3 different people from this company told me 3 different things, lied about how much fees were, and again I never read anywhere about fees when using the card. In my experience with prepaid debit cards, I 've only ever had to pay a monthly fee, or a fee to withdrawal money, but never for using it at gas stations and XXXX. I called them and went up the chain of command and asked them for the {$9.00} back that they not only took from but also from the XXXX yr old, XXXX yr old, and XXXX month old I 'm having to care for. They absolutely refused to give it back. One person said they were the highest person to talk to and I told them no there are executives and I 'd like to speak to one. Getting to talk to someone higher up was like pulling teeth. They still refused to give the money back so I demanded they closed my account and cancel my card. To me, this is a scam because they 're charging a monthly fee, charging fees for spending YOUR money without telling anyone, and then when you figure it out, they argue with you and have excuse as to why money ca n't be refunded. All I want is my {$9.00} back and I want it on my other debit card because I do n't feel I should be made to wait 6 to 8 weeks for a check. Can you please do something about it?

Complaint: I have a multitude of problems with my current prepaid provider, Netspend.
I have not been able to access my funds in 2 days. It started in my attempt to open a new checking account with XXXX XXXX XXXX who explained do to a low score I could not open a checking account with them. I have an old savings account that I can access and use that so I went in to my current Netspend account and I noticed a different email instead of mine. I attempted to call. I could not be helped since their recovery department was closed. I was told to call back the next day.
Yesterday I received an unauthorized {$50.00} debit hold on my card. I attempted to log in to my account to see what is going on and my account was locked. I could not access any of my information. I called and again because their recovery department was closed I could not be helped. I was told I have to wait until the morning. I asked to speak to the manager and was put on hold for 20 minutes.
I again attempted to sign in today with another locked account notification. I have not been reached out to by email/text or phone call to be assisted with this issue.
I have noticed last year around XXXX and XXXX I was receiving texts of amounts that did not add up because this is my main banking tool I use it for tips and other things. I thought this could be the case in the missing money. As I started to monitor more closely this has not been as much of an issue. I assumed maybe this is hidden fees or whatever the case maybe and have vowed to get out of this ridiculous banking system.
I have dealt with issues with them in the past from no access to my funds for XXXX10 business days after my card being stolen to ridiculous fees to transfer money during this time I had to wait. after I had to buy another card.
When I bought this card now I can not transfer to this card because they said it is not possible due to their system. it is XXXX to transfer EVERYTIME!
At this point this establishment has cost me hundreds of dollars. I would like to have an itemized transcript of my account so that I can rectify any issues and be sure that I am not yet again being taken advantage of as a customer and my money back.
I was also told that it will take XXXX8 weeks to receive my money in the mail if I close my account with them. for this reason I have held on but I can no longer continue to be abused by this company.

Complaint: I received a netSpend letter in the mail containing a Debit card that is to be activated at my request if desired. I never requested or wanted a Debit card from the Company NetSpend. This is the most unprofessional business in existence. Not only did I not order this card but it could of easliy been activated without my permission and have my identity stolen. I do not have a active or existing account with this Company. The Card number displaying on the Debit card is # XXXX the account number is XXXX from what the document presents in the letter. I would please like to be taken out of there mailing list and also have this Business company NetSpend not ever solicitate to me with any offers ever again. Complaint: i funded an overseas account for trading stocks and was promised an account that would return 80 % back after loosing 100 % I requested that the money be returned per the agreement. and got no response from the merchant and for approximately 15 days was afforded no help from Netspend on the status of my remaining funds. in the interim Netspend classified it as a fraud charge when I specifically told them it was for a product trhat did not live up to the claims of the merchant. after 2 months and many emails the merchant finally returned my call and stated that the bank & lt ; Netspend had disputed the charge and they were waiting for Netspend to take the funds back as it was classified as a charge back and yret was still sitting there. upon informing Netspend of this I was told it was under i investigation and would not be resolved until another 3 months time. I will attgach all correspondence that I have had with Netspend and their failure to even acknowledge my information.
