Debt is not yours
Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, a woman named XXXX XXXX defaulted on her lease with an apartment community called XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, the apartment community sent the lease with her name, a copy of her drivers license, and all other pertinent information to a collection company called Hunter Warfield. Sometime in XX/XX/XXXX, Hunter Warfield contacted me, XXXX XXXX, telling me I owed money to this property. I told them that I had never lived at this property in XXXX XXXX, and they attempted to gather more information from me. I told them to find the woman named XXXX XXXX who was on the lease they kept mentioning, as my name has legally been XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX.
Apparently they searched XXXX XXXX for anyone whose name matched this womans, and my name was formerly XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX.
I went to the apartment community, XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX, who sent this womans lease into collection. They showed me her lease and drivers license picture. I showed them my ID, although unneeded, as they had never met me before. The manager assured me she would call XXXX XXXX to clear up the matter.
At some point, unbeknownst to me, XXXX XXXX placed this debt on MY credit, committing identity fraud against me. I called them this month, in XX/XX/XXXX, asking them to remove this debt from my credit. They did not want to release any information to me, as they could not pull up this womans file using my social, my drivers license number, or even my legal name. I told them because they had ruined my ability to lease a short-term apartment while I sell the home I have owned since XX/XX/XXXX, they needed to provide me with information.
All they had was my cell phone number, which they found on XXXX XXXX. They first refused to take it off my credit, claiming they had never placed it on my credit. It was on XXXX and XXXX, both of whom I have reported this debt to as fraud as of XX/XX/XXXX. As of today, it is cleared off XXXX, and XXXX states it will be off TransUnion by XX/XX/XXXX. However, also as of today, Hunter Warfield is again trying to contact me concerning this womans debt.
From my conversation with Hunter Warfield, they have sent me a piece of paper asking me to file a report against this woman, XXXX XXXX ; however, she did nothing wrong. She did not steal my identity, and she did not commit fraud against me. Hunter Warfield did, and apparently will continue to do so even after I send them the documentation, as they are texting me links about this debt even today ( XX/XX/XXXX ).
The account number they have for XXXX XXXX is XXXX. Their creditor account (? ) is XXXX. The balance XXXX XXXX ( I thought I remembered it being XXXX XXXX, so they may have changed her last name to match my maiden name on XXXX XXXX ) is {$870.00}. The company Hunter Warfield is collecting from is XXXX XXXX.
Hunter Warfields mailing address is : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, PA XXXX Their phone number is XXXX.
I am attaching the letter of resolution from Hunter Warfield, the two bureaus, XXXX and XXXX, that were reported from my XXXX account, as well as the dispute results from XXXX.

Debt was already discharged in bankruptcy and is no longer owed
Complaint: This was a particular situation that I broke the lease due to rats being infested in the apartment and the AC continuously breaking and flooding my apartment. I ended up filing it under my bankrupcy when I went on to a XXXX 's XXXX situation and I could not make the arrangement payment of XXXX per apartment for current month owed. I'm not sure why they sent the bankruptcy attorney and amount of XXXX. And on these records indicate XXXX. I have attempted to call the apartments numerous times as well as I spoke to the collection agency and they said it has been wrote off. However it's not showing that it shows open.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: My husband and I lived in an apartment complex in XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX and upon moving out, they sent us an incorrect bill. I called them and explained that we had paid the fee to have our apartment cleaned using their cleaning program and even took them a copy of my cancelled check. They still sent this inaccurate amount to a collection agency named Hunter Warfield. I called Hunter Warfield and even sent them a letter plus corroborating information and they refused to budge stating that the apartment complex said that it was a valid debt. When we applied for an apartment and were denied here in XXXX where we currently live, I learned that this was on my credit report. I contacted XXXX credit reporting agency and filed a dispute. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from XXXX stating that this collection was no longer on my file. Two years later ( now ), my husband got a free credit report and this collection account is on his account now, when it wasn't 2 years ago. I also found out that it was put back on my account after I was turned down for an apartment. I have contacted XXXX and they are telling me that this collection agency is able to put this information back on my credit report because they are members of the credit reporting agency. I was never notified by XXXX that this was put back on my credit report. I do not understand how a collection agency is allowed to report false information and the consumer has no right to keep it off of their credit report.

Complaint: I was living at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX until a month before XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX are given to soldiers a month or 2 before XXXX so soldiers can get out of leases and turn into certain creditors for lower interest rates during a XXXX cycle. I received my XXXX XXXX on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and turned them into the office at XXXX XXXX. They did not honor my XXXX XXXX. I continued to clear my apartment in a timely manner and had paid first and last months rent upon moving in. To include a security deposit that would have covered any cleaning upon me leaving. I did not receive my security deposit back and paid my pet fee to the front office. My mother co-signed the lease with me and this is on both of our credit reports for over 6k in fees. For one the apartment complex never contacted my mom or myself before leaving in XX/XX/XXXX. The debt was sold to a collection agency while I was XXXX, and me and my mom have been dealing with harassing phone calls ever since. My mom started receiving calls shortly after me leaving and she asked the collection agency ( Hunter Warfield ) to provide a by name list of charges against me. She did not receive a by list charges until XX/XX/XXXX ... .and over a thousand dollars in interest charges from a collection agency we had no contract with. My mother has sent to me the bills they have sent as well as the by name list of charges in which I find to be totally fraudulent. I should never of had a fee for last month rent because I paid first and last month before moving in, I also accrued fraudulent cleaning charges that my security deposit would have covered, I also should not of had a lease termination fee of over XXXX with XXXX XXXX. Not to mention pet fees and so on. The list is crazy. To think this is how companies operate and treat deploying soldiers. And then sell the fraudulent debt to a head hunting collection agency on fraudulent grounds. And then to have fees of over 1.5k from a company you never had a contract with and bought this fraudulent debt on pennies to the dollar. To get this rectified would be wonderful. I have tried disputing with all three credit bureaus with no luck. I truly feel this is my last step to get this resolved. I am a father of five and can not purchase a house for my family because of this on my credit report. I am almost XXXX and have never owned a home for my family. Please help this XXXX veteran clear me and my mothers name in this matter. Supporting documents follow ...

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam : My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX, and I thank the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) in its efforts to correct the wrong-doings of the collection agencies and credit information repositories. This is, may be, the only U.S. federal agency fighting on behalf of us the people. According to my friend and credit consultant, XXXX XXXX, occasionally you do a fine job. I suggest that you show our enemies, the debt collectors and credit reporting agencies, who the boss is here. Display your huge teeth and toughness to these no good, nefarious entities.
This is a complaint I am filing against a debt collector who has violated the FDCPA, and may be even the FCRA rules and regulations.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a dispute letter requesting validation of an alleged debt to Hunter Warfield , Inc, a debt collection agency based in XXXX, Florida. To date I have received no response from them even though it has been way past the 30-day limit set by FCRA and FDCPA. I have proof of delivery ( on XX/XX/XXXX ) of my dispute communication to the above-mentioned debt collector. The derogatory, however, still remains on all 3 of my credit reports. The debt collectors in this country have no respect for the law nor do they fear any federal agency, including you the CFPB. The CFPB isn't tough enough with these scoundrels. The collection agencies are so cold-hearted and aggressive in their collection efforts that they make the XXXX and XXXX look almost like angels ; they are totally arrogant, unethical and dishonest. The people behind these collection agencies are very nasty people ; they violate the people's/debtors ' right every chance they get.
Even the last name of this debt collector, XXXX XXXX, matches his aggressive, militant/warring like-manner of collecting debts. This guy XXXX XXXX must have come out from the wrong side of his mother ; he has no shame in showing his terrible face on his company website. Does he take pride in what he is doing? All debt collectors are like this scumbag XXXX XXXX, cold, heartless and compassionless.
Who or what gives them the right and authority to do what they do?
I humbly ask that you, the powerful federal agency, resolve this matter for me immediately as it is preventing me from obtaining credit and to move on with my life.
Please order Hunter Warfield, Inc to delete the derogatory remark from all 3 of the credit reporting agencies pronto.
Again, thank you very much.
