Complaint: I purchased a Washer and Dryer from The Home Depot on XX/XX/XXXX. The washer and dryer were already 10 % off and there was a deal going on that if you opened a credit card through them you would save an extra {$100.00}. The employee called their credit card company to ensure I would get the {$100.00} off if I opened an account with the washer and dryer already being on sale. He was told yes and I would notice the {$100.00} credit within a month or two on my billing statement. Now the credit card company is refusing to honor the {$100.00} credit because they said I already got the 10 % discount. They even have record of the sale associate calling and asking. They say they were not completely aware that I was already receiving the 10 % discount. Which is unfair. Because they gave out the wrong information, I should not lose my {$100.00} discount. I would NEVER have opened an account through them if I was not promised the discount. I've been battling this issue since XX/XX/2019. Through both email and phone. Tomorrow my promotional deal ends. I do not want to pay the extra {$100.00} yet I do not want them to add on interest rates for not paying. I just spoke with a supervisor today and she was extremely rude and said she will not help me and I was told I wouldn't get the discount in XXXX and she was done with it.

Complaint: I have a Best Buy Visa Credit Card and am constantly receiving promotional offers for balance transfers only to be declined when applying for this feature. The customer service representatives flat out lied and denied that this offer was available on my account on one occasion. After running my credit they disqualified me for having to many open accounts, which defeats the whole purpose of the balance transfer, because if I transferred all my balances to that one card I would only have one account. The problem is that coerced me into a credit pull, which I normally wouldn't have granted permission for, in order to market they're low interest product only to tell me that I don't qualify. My account with Citibank is in good standing and current. Not only did they violate my privacy by doing this, but they also discriminated against me based on criteria that does not apply to this account. They claim to be compliant and that they are not enforcing another banks policies. This sounds to me like antitrust.

Complaint: This account was opened in XXXX, 2019. It was used only once to purchase {$45.00} worth of mulch at XXXX XXXX 's XXXX, MA location. The account number is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. After having not received a bill or the card itself, I called and notified XXXX XXXX that the card was lost or stolen and that no bill had ever been received. I subsequently learned that the statements and card had been sent to a wrong address. Despite several calls, at least four, over the next few months, the address was never corrected properly and statements, or the card, were still not received. In each of these calls I was told there would be no finance charges or fees. While credits have been put on the account they do not keep up with the finance charges and fees charged which are being levied on finance charges and fees. That should be illegal. I paid the bill in full for the amount of the goods purchased on XX/XX/2019. Their representatives take notes. This is all in their records and was so acknowledged in conversation with me. The last call was one month ago to point out that the address was still wrong and the interest and fees still on the statement. Again, I was told they would be removed. I also asked that they correct the information being sent, wrongly, to the credit rating agencies. The response was that I should call each of them and dispute the account. When I pointed out that it is their responsibility to fix their errors I was put on hold for a supervisor. I am still waiting. That is the second time that happened, the first was when I called and offered to allow a direct debit to a bank account to pay for the initial charge. Their representative could not tell me what that amount was and put me on hold to wait for a supervisor. I am still waiting. I have endured inept service, a lack of common respect, harassing calls and damage to my credit score. I would like written confirmation that all of this has been corrected, including rectifying the credit bureau reporting. I also sent a letter last month. The answer was non-responsive.

Complaint: [ Before speaking about my situation, let me say that there are what I believe to be some genuine citibank employees trying to rectify what is going on. This is a very time sensitive situation due to my wife and I needing to close on a home we are purchasing by XX/XX/2019 - possibly sooner. ] My wife and I secured a 3.250 % ( no points ) jumbo mortgage with Citibank ( loan officer XXXX XXXX NMLS # XXXX ) on XXXX XXXX. Days before the scheduled closing date He/They decided to add 1.75 % points to the loan ( approx. {$8500.00} ). we have been to the bank, have made numerous calls, including a message into citibank 's executive response unit ( no response to date ). We have outstanding credit always have, own two homes ( no mortgage ), make 6 figures tax free ( XXXX ) plus rental income of {$7900.00} per month. This extra fee has been explained as many things to us - from " problem w/debt to income '', " you did not disclose home we own '' ( untrue ), " we bought the rate down '' ( untrue ). Every time they gave a reason, we explained them inaccurate - they then would change the reason for the added points. All of citibank 's conversations are recorded including us disclosing our properties. Nothing was every said to my wife or I about the possibility of points being added for any reason ( check phone recordings ). I believe this is occurring because they feel we would not object ( being so close to closing date ). By law, we will have to close. And, we will, but trying to recoup money that is due to us is going to be more difficult after the closing on our home purchase.

Complaint: My Citibank credit card company notified me that a charge was made in Florida at XXXX 's for {$920.00} and asked if I had made the purchase. I said no ( I ordered nothing at XXXX 's or anywhere else in Florida ). Citibank then credited my account for the fraudulent amount. In XXXX, however, they charged my account again for double the {$920.00} charge. They said that I had been credited twice, once by them and once by XXXX. Since they cancelled the previous account and sent me a new card, I saw no evidence of this double debit. However, even if I had been credited twice, since I never made the fraudulent charge, I should not have to pay twice. One credit I could understand paying for but, since I never made the charge, not both.

On XX/XX/XXXX the Department of Veterans Affairs determined that my brother XXXX XXXX XXXX was iXXXX for purposes of managing VA payments.Attachment 3 and 3A. On XX/XX/XXXX I was a appointed by the VA XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to be my brother 's fiduciary in order to manage his VA benefits, Attachment 4. On XX/XX/XXXX I was appointede by the Social Security Administration to be his representative payee, Attachment 5. The {$4300.00} consisted of {$3700.00} VA funds and {$560.00} in Social Security Funds. My brother has been diagnosed by two ( 2 ) Department of Veterans Affairs XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX, XXXX, VA XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX as having major XXXX disorder ( XXXX ) with behavior XXXX and XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Attachments 6 and 7. On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted a Citibank supervisor, first name XXXX, XXXX and asked him to look into my claim that my brother wrongfully froze my XXXX XXXX XXXX checking account by claiming the {$4300.00} in checks ( there were 3 ) that I wrote on his checking account were unauthorized. On XX/XX/XXXX I emailed to XXXX scanned documents from the Department of Veterans Affairs describing my brother as being XXXX for purposes of managing VA payments, from the Social Security Administration appointed me to be his representative payee, 3 letters from VA staff XXXX stating that XXXX XXXX XXXX is unable to manage his financial affairs and a letter from the VA appointed me his fiduciary. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, the Citibank supervisor, XXXX, asked me to email him at XXXX my brother 's {$4300.00} in expenses and a copy of the court order which was in place from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX ; which I did except for the court order ; but in a follow-up email I told him Citibank 's legal department should have known that in order for Citibank to see his court order my brother would have had to sign a release which he did not do! On XX/XX/XXXX I had a conversation with Citibank 's supervisor, XXXX said that I can not access my brother 's checking account. I told him I had no interest in accessing my brother 's checking since all his funds which are VA and Social Security funds and are now being deposited in a separate fidicuary account in which I control. He then proceeded to say that my brother, who is homelless, will have to contact Citibank in order to remove the freeze on my personal checking account. Citibank 's supervisor lead me to believe that if I email him my brother 's expense documents and a copy of my brother 's California court order Citibank would unfreeze my XXXX XXXX XXXX checking account. I have suffered emotional and financial damage from Citibank by falsely stating if I followed its requests for certain documents my checking account would be unfrozen.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Citi bank customer service, reporting unauthorized ACH transactions from my savings account. Citi bank opened a claim for investigation and I was issued provisional credit on 3 out of 5 disputed charges. The charges occurred between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Citibank claim that the two charges they havent applied provisional credit to, that the charges occurred long ago, thereby the credit will be contingent upon the response of the Merchant ; and that itll take 10 business days for credit to be applied. Transaction of {$1900.00} occurred on XX/XX/XXXX and still within the 2 statement wait time for disputing errors. It is my understanding that Federal Law states that one has up to 2 billing circles to dispute charges on an account. So why is my credit contingent upon the response of the Merchant, especially when the Merchant in question has been unresponsive. Citi bank didnt protect my account enough, to prevent unauthorized ACH debit. It is my understanding that youll need a full routing and account details to make this happen. Citibank has also not closed the account in question, even though it has been compromised. This is my hard-earned savings for my holiday. The reference number for the claim at Citi bank is XXXX

Complaint: I have noticed that there have been 4 charges of $ XXXX monthly service fee to my checking account since XX/XX/XXXX. I am disappointed that I have never been advised about it, nor have I given any consent to it. I have been banking with Citi for almost 3 decades without any fees. I'm also deeply disappointed that for 3 decades Citi has been using my funds to make profit for itself at XXXX cost. It is not only inappropriate but also unethical to charge service fee even on top of all that privilege of using the client 's funds for free. As I researched this case, it turned out that my account was converted to Citi Priority package ( a name of a predatory product that Citi devised to charge high fees ) without my full knowledge or without my explicit consent. I was able to revert it back to the regular Citi Baking account ( though I'm not sure if this is the original account setting I had been with for the last 3 decades ) on XX/XX/XXXX with only 1 month fee reversed. The mobile chat agent said she could only do one-month reversal as a one-time courtesy, but this is not the matter of courtesy. The account conversion was made without my knowledge and consent, so all the fees incurred during this period was illegal in the first place. It is only fitting & proper to reverse all fees ( total of {$120.00} ) immediately. Anything less than that is tantamount to racketeering. The chat agent said it was the best she could do within her capacity and suggested calling the bank, but when I called and got transferred to a supervisor, I had to explain it all over again to no avail. I would like to stress that the fee was illegal to start with because the conversion of my original account to Citi Priority package was done without my knowledge and consent. The full amount of total fees must be reversed immediately. This is a typical predatory banking practice. Sincerely,

Complaint: I rented a car, paid for the rental. A week after the car was returned and checked in with no issues, the rental car company charged the card again for a new transaction for {$110.00}. I tried multiple times to resolve this with Citi, but no one even looked at my complaint. The rental car company provided proof that I ordered and paid for the rental car, which was the authorized transaction not in dispute. They provided ZERO evidence that a second transaction was authorized on a different day or that this charge was valid under the previous contract, which was closed at the time of the charge. This additional unauthorized charge was fraud committed by XXXX. I later found out they have a horrible reputation for doing this. Citi made no attempt to communicate any reasoning behind why they kept refusing to honor my fraud claim. Very poor customer service and a joke of a dispute process.

On XX/XX/2019 I went to Citibank branch at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX. Spoke to XXXX XXXX. He put me in touch, via phone, with Citibank customer service. Spoke with associate then with supervisor. Neither was able to locate account by account number, name or SSN. I have verified with Florida Unclaimed Property. They have no record of account. I did have account with Citibank. I need to know what happened to account. Citibank should be able to locate it by account number, my name or my social security number.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I opened a Best Buy Citi card and was granted a {$4000.00} credit limit. Later I contacted the company in order to request a credit increase as I wanted to purchase a couple of televisions and use the 24 month free financing promotion. During the call to request a credit increase, I provided my mobile phone number which has been registered in my name for a couple of years. This number was the same number used as verification for account initiation earlier in the day. The company told me that they could not verify my phone number and I would have to wait for a bank verification by phone or mail. When I attempted to use the card, I was declined. At that point I contacted customer service and was informed that my account was locked until it was verified. The person would not answer my questions about how that could be or how long it would take to unlock and was extremely terse throughout the entire encounter. I attempted to close the account and was informed that they could not close my account as it was locked.

Complaint: On or about XX/XX/10 we found a charge on our credit card that we did not place. Upon contacting Citi card, they first alleged that we would have to lie and report the card stolen to get the charge removed. We handed that over to the AG in their state. Then Citi group closed and canceled the card and reissued a new card and account number. They stated ( in chat ) that the charge would be removed in 3 to 10 days as they investigated. Thus far we have had 3 interactions with Citi card and they will not remove the charge. In our opinion, Citi group is in coherts with the company ( whomever they are ) that placed the charge. Now Citi group is charging interest on a charge we never made. Cit group has also refused to close the account. The original card number the charge was issued on and account has been closed when the new card issued ended in XXXX.
