Complaint: Dispute of unauthorized credit card charges : On or about XX/XX/2016 I noticed unusual activity with my Bank of AMerica credit card ending in XXXX. Therefore, I immediately contacted B. of America and reported approx {$1200.00} of unauthorized charges. I proved Bank of America with as much information as I had and answered every one of their questions, On XX/XX/2016 I received all follow-up letter ( see attached ) requesting " additional information '' without providing that additional information in writing. Since I have family members in law enforcement, one thing I know is at all times have records documented so they can not be misconstrued and always make sure both sides have access to these records. Bank of America seems to demand a taped verbal conversation whereas, they obtain the only copy. However, I have read the complaints all over the internet that Bank of America refuses to be transparent and manipulative. Therefore, i have requested all correspondence in writing to avoid confusion. Below is the email i forwarded to Bank of America using their own and securely touted messaging platform. I have maintained a flawless credit history, never ever missing a payment in over 40 years and can not take an chances of this issue being reported inaccurately, as I am in the process of purchasing a new home sometime in the next few months. Additionally, Bank of America attempts to force me to download Adobe in order to view certain documents. I refuse to download adobe as they have a horrible track record of being breached or having viruses attached to downloads. As I have been a victim in the past. " Hi, RE : closed account ending in XXXX In response to a letter dated XX/XX/2016, which I received today ( XX/XX/2016 ), from the " Fraud and Claims '' dept. The letter is asking for additional information regarding my fraud claim. I am requesting all correspondence with respect to my fraud claim be done in writing via email or USPS. This will insure a proper and accurate record, which I am sure Bank of America supports. Verbal communications can be misinterpreted and lacks the transparency of both sides maintaining proper records. My email address is on file or you can reach me through your SECURE messaging platform. I will be happy to answer as best i can any additional questions. XXXX, XXXX XXXX

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, I reached out to BOA due to an inability to pay our mortgage due to my husband and I both being out of work. I have attached a time line of all of my interactions with BOA over the summer as I worked with them to get assistance with a loan modification. Basically, I have complied with every request when I received it. Their communication with me was not accurate, I had to deal with a different person every time. The website was not useful. XX/XX/XXXX I received letters saying my information was under review and a letter saying my loan was being transferred to another bank. When I called to check on it on XX/XX/XXXX, I was told the review had been completed on XX/XX/2016 and I was apologized to for not having been notified, but there were things I needed to fix. They were now asking for things like signatures that they had not requested previously. I asked to speak to a manager, was transferred to voice mail and I never received a follow up call or any other communication from BOA. We are actively seeking employment ( and have been for sometime ). I have XXXX interviews this week. We just need assistance with keeping our home. We have lived here for 23 years and certainly do n't want to lose it. We just have hit a patch of bad luck.

Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/16, we sold our primary residence and paid off XXXX our XXXX mortgage with XXXX and our XXXX mortgage ( HELOC ) with Bank of America. Both payoffs were made via federal wire transfers. The payoff of the XXXX mortgage was promptly reported by XXXX to the Credit Reporting Agencies ( CRAs ). However, the payoff of the XXXX mortgage HELOC has not yet been reported to the CRAs by Bank of America. When I called Bank of America and asked them why this payoff had not yet been reported to the agencies, I was told that it will not be reported until XXXX XXXX, 2016 in accordance with Bank of America 's policy ... that I have to wait until the next " interest payment statement calculation '' before this XXXX loan payoff will be reported. This means that it will take nearly 30 days after the payoff date for Bank of America to report this loan payoff, and likely even longer before the CRAs update my credit report and XXXX score. This is damaging to my XXXX score, because the CRAs treat a HELOC loan as if it were a credit card for purposes of their scoring models, rather than as a XXXX mortgage secured by real estate. That is unconscionable, in my opinion, and I hope that someone brings legal action against the CRAs for that practice. That CRA practice aside, why should anyone have to wait for 30 days for Bank of America to report that the HELOC has been repaid in full and that the account is closed? I can no longer borrow on that XXXX as it has been closed, yet Bank of America is preventing my loan balance, financial condition and credit score from being accurately reflected. This is unfair treatment by Bank of America of every consumer who pays off a HELOC loan.

Complaint: My XXXX used Bank of America for our business banking. We closed the accounts XX/XX/XXXX and paid the accounts in full in person at the branch nearest our XXXX XXXX location. Over the years we received a few calls in attempt to collect a debt and asked us for our personal information ( which we assumed was fraud ). After the second call from the debt collector I called Bank of America to look up my social security number and they confirmed that we did not have any due balances under my social security number ( in XX/XX/XXXX ). Today I called XXXX XXXX XXXX to resolve the issue once more and was informed that they have a due balance of {$11000.00} under my social security number that I do not recognize. They have no further information on the money other than they asserted that it is due in full. This letter is my formal complaint that I do not recognize this debt and that I will write XXXX XXXX XXXX a letter to cease contacting me about this fraudulent charge.

Complaint: I purchased a " lifetime subscription '' to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX company ). The transaction ( lump sum of {$15000.00} ) was made thru my XXXX Credit Card held in my Bank of America Bank account. The funds were paid out from cash held in my account around XXXX XXXX. By XXXX XXXX, I decided that I had made a huge mistake. I did not use any of XXXX XXXX services at any time. I notified the bank right away and asked them to cancel the purchase. They informed me of their policy which included that I could try to cancel the purchase but the seller had the right to present evidence of information which would allow them to keep the funds and force the sale. They were given 60 days to make their case. The process continued for the full allowed time. Near the end of that period the funds were nominally moved back to my account list with Bank of America and I had the mistaken belief that the long painful battle was over. I could not have been more wrong. I learned from XXXX of the many bank employees that the resolution had been made in favor of the sellers and I should have been sent a copy of it. Days later, I got a copy of it by mail. A few days ago, I received even worse news!! Even though I have already lost the XXXX XXXX dollars to the seller, the bank has structured things in such a manner that I will be forced to pay twice!! The bank claims that the {$15000.00} they passed on to XXXX is beyond their reach and there is nothing they can do about it. They claim I owe the bank {$15000.00} and they are more than comfortable to make me pay twice. The bank notified me that next month they will start charging me monthly interest and principal payments to repay the funds to the new phantom " XXXX '' " income fund '' sitting on my bank account screen and I am only allowed to " look but not touch '. Go figure!! I am XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX XXXX. This horrible ordeal has produced a tremendous amount of stress.

Complaint: We are business and private customer at Bank of America since 2008 in good standing. About a month ago we have received a phone call and were requested to provide personal sensitive information like our social security numbers, etc. over the phone in order to update our customer profile. We denied to give out this information by phone but called Bank of America immediately to take care of this update. Our information had not changed, but we received the information by phone that the update was taken care off. On XX/XX/XXXX we received 5 different letters from Bank of Amerika : XXXX of our credit cards had been closed, XXXX of our checking/saving account would be restricted due to missing personal information. We called Bank of America again, provided more information, until everything was supposedly resolved. When we tried today to pay our Credit Card Statement we learned that our business credit cards were closed. Today we lost 5 hours talking to different agents at Bank of America who were all very friendly but who could not do anything else than apologize and telling us that these are all compliance reasons. Why can we get a letter by mail that our accounts are closed but not a letter that there are still certain points that have to be clarified before the account is closed? At this point we are really upset and not feeling treated as " VALUED ' customers ( like Bank of America always tells us ). We want to make sure that this matter is taken care for all our accounts now before our other accounts are blocked / closed also. We are really disappointed that Bank of America is " playing around '' with our accounts just to get information and not considering in one single moments that they are affecting our business and private banking in a very negative way.

Complaint: In XXXX 2016 I paid my Bank of America Credit Card my house payment which gave me a credit balance. I received a late payment letter from Bank of America Mortgage. Then I realized what I had done I called Bank of America Credit Card and they said they would forward the money to the mortgage group. I called the mortgage group to let them know what I done and they said they would put a note on my account. I then get a foreclosure notice for being one month behind because the money had not been forwarded to the mortgage department. I call the mortgage department and advise them again what had happened and again they state a note would be put in my file. I then call Bank of America Credit Card and they tell me it had been forwarded to the mortgage group. I then call the mortgage group and they tell me they did not receive it however they would check into it and get back with me. Then I receive a letter from XXXX XXXX a debt collection agency and they are taking over my loan. Then I get notification that my credit has been adversely affected by a 30 day late report from Bank of America. So called Bank of America about this and they say well it was late and they are not going to do anything about it.

Closing/Cancelling account

Complaint: I had applied for a bank of america credit card. They issued a wrong card with different benefits. In fact the card they issued had no benefits at all. When i was talking to rep about it, i was mis informed that if i cancel the card without activating it or putting any charge on it, it would not be reported to the credit bureaus. That made cancel that card and another card for my wife which was never activated. @ weeks later XXXX cards are on our credit report as closed by consumer. Not only are they not clearing that, they are not letting me re-open those cards. This is hurting my credit. When i called back to inquire about, they are brushing it off as mis information on part of the agent and not offering any solution.

Complaint: My wife XXXX away in XXXX and had a credit card balance of {$12000.00}. Instead of being a XXXX, I chose to pay it off. I should have not paid it I guess, because it never showed up as paid, and lowered my credit score from XXXX to XXXX, with no way to ever be able to raise it. What they did was wrong, and it gets worse. Today, I have spent over two hours to find my credit report, and a way to contest it. Here is why. The online access to XXXX doesn ', t work unless You can upload documents, and I can, t because I only have a tablet .I c n't call XXXX because they have an automatic phone that does n't have the prompts to help people like me. So, rather then reward me for twelve years of payments, they XXXX me, lowered my credit score so I will never be able to raise it. I have XXXX items at the credit bureau, XXXX which I can prove are invalid with supporting documentation. Their behavior has led me to be turned down from them, and XXXX other business, which made my credit score go down. What are consumers supposed to do when banks are allowed to participate in this type of behavior? I had a mortgage ( XXXX ) with boa which was paid off in XXXX. I have court papers that prove I was n't in control. I have XXXX valid debt at the credit bureau which I will pay. The rest are not even valid, but XXXX has a network that wo n't allow you to talk to someone in person. So now i ca n't receive a credit report, or a disclosure form to validate their claim. I thought that it was illegal A consumer should 't have to spend hours on the phone to obtain this information. I would like boa to remove any reports on my credit report that should n't be there, and provide a credit report, and valid forms to remove documents. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX Turned down for a secured credit card. What 's up with that.

Complaint: Loan Modification for XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX We started a loan modification process In XXXX of XXXX to adjust the HELOC monthly payment which went from interest only to full pay on short term ( from XXXX $ to XXXX $ ) We tried unsuccessfully before XXXX but were told we were not delinquent we would not get a reply or have a chance to modify So I stopped payment and we got the requested documents finally. We had a phone interview in which was stated that we would qualify for a MODIFICATION. Our first contact was XXXX XXXX, who seemed unresponsive for 4 months after we supplied the documents requested, we were notified that XXXX XXXX was released and XXXX XXXX would continue the case in XXXX. We had to start the process from start and resend the requested documentation, in this process sensitive documentation was lostXXXXx while using a BOFA provided XXXX envelope We continued using a Fax method we provided all requested documentation multiple times. During this as we were closing on 6 months now, we kept receiving calling call from foreclosure lawyers representing BOFA even though we were in the modification process. I asked if they would continue the modification if I would pay the reinstatement amount, as the phone calls was very upsetting. They said yes that it would change nothing to the process in place. I paid the reinstatement amount on the exact day requested, XXXX XXXX. I send the Check with FedEx. Within 1 week I received a letter that the Modification is now closed due to : Not enough proof of income. And my account is currently not delinquent enough to qualify! Interesting enough that was not what I was told and that was a 7 months process that seems not very fair or represented properly. Why tell me to go ahead if there is no Modification attempt. This leads us to the next problem that I encountered. I called to complain about this process and also about the extra charges that are now being added to my Bill. I paid XXXX XXXX. I received my next bill and it is for the period XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX, According to Bank of America the amount I Paid on XXXX XXXX ( which changed on a weekly basis ) did not include any payment for XXXX. Strange but assuming that could be correct I was wondering why there were additional charges of {$910.00} that were past due? I managed to get a hold of the Escalation Manager XXXX XXXX XXXX Phone number XXXX He said he would verify this and make sure to get the phone recording of my conversations to verify if I was correct and get back to me within the week This was in XXXX and I have not heard a single thing since, I called XXXX in that span to the department and also left Multiple Voice mails on the direct line with my Cell phone number to contact me direct, as I want this resolved. In the process I have spoken to XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX and several others who all have left notes for XXXX XXXX to return my calls. According to the log from BOFA he called several times but after verifying with my phone company I could only verify a call on XXXX XXXX XXXX and then he called my old office number again not the requested cell phone. I can not imagine what the problem can be on a request this benign. There is nobody to go to besides XXXX XXXX as there is nobody higher in the department, and he is not responding no matter how many messages I leave. This is very disappointing to me and leaves me without choices. Who can help?? As this is been going on for 2 months and holding up my payments again I need somebody that can help me solve this payment as this is getting out of hand again, I have been trying to get an answer and a resolution
