Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/2017 at approximately XXXX, I received a call at my place on employment in regards to my American Express card that I have failed to pay due to filing for a Chapter XXXX XXXX . I advised the representative that there have been previous statements made to American Express to cease communication at my place of employment. Since then, numerous automated calls have been placed. I told the representative that I will be giving her my Chapter XXXX XXXX Attorney name and she then stated that would cue the calls to stop. I advised her that that does not negate the fact that her organization was instructed to cease communications. I did advise her that I was a Director of Operations for a collection agency and at this point I was not going to get into an argument with a collector. She instructed me that she has a XXXX XXXX and informed me " that at least she pays her bills ''. Moving forward, being that my call and her call was recorded, I will be pursuing an FDPCA claim on this as well. I work in this industry and by NO means would I tolerate that on my floor.

I dialed that number and requested transfer to supervisor .XXXX.XXXX ( Balance XXXX Department XXXX answered my call and he also not help me out my concern and he asked me to call Customer XXXX XXXX Department XXXX and request the REMOVE REDUCTION TAG on my account. XXXX XXXX also treated me very mean high tone. I dialed that number and I told what happened and they transferred me customer service department again. I have to explain each time when I dial your customer service department. I spend more than XXXX hour to talk some XXXX help me out for my reallocation request and no ones help me out. Why I have to called Customer responsible landing department to request remove Reduction tag on my account? Today I am so very disappointed way your bank treated me. Complaint: Hi, I applied for the American Express XXXX XXXX XXXX card on XXXX XXXX 2017 and got a same day approval. I was expecting to have some expenses and the promotional offer was good ( XXXX Membership Rewards points after $ XXXX spent in 3 months ). After I received the physical card few days later, I called AMEX customer service to confirm my sign up bonus and I was told that it does not show up in my account that it was offered for my account. Investigation was opened after a few calls. I made subsequent calls and initiate online chats every week or two to follow up with the issue and finally I was told that the investigation was closed and they could not offer the bonus term to me. The reasons given was different by various customer service representatives and after escalating the issue they forwarded my call towards what sound like customer service manager and I was told that because the sign up is through a third party website ( some blogs hyperlink to american express sign up page and forms ). Even though that there are evidences that signup bonus was offered through third party during that time from various websites, they can not help on providing the bonus offer. I did not have any screen capture for my applications but few friends of mine already got their bonus points after satisfying the sign-up bonus terms while I 'm left with no choice to even make things correct. Complaint: Hello, I applied and was approved an AMEX XXXX card with a promotional sign-on bonus. This bonus was to spend {$3000.00} USD in the first 3 months for XXXX XXXX points and to spend an addition {$2000.00} USD within the first 6 months for another XXXX XXXX points. The second bonus is not being honored by AMEX even though I made the required purchasing amount within the time-frame. AMEX claims it is " not attached to my account. '' The card was approved on XX/XX/XXXX. This special promotion ended on XX/XX/XXXX. I 'm attaching screenshots of this information. I 've contested this issue with AMEX and they have denied it saying it 's not attached to my account. This is a technical issue, as I had to open multiple challenges with AMEX to even get the first XXXX bonus, which after 6 months of calling them and opening challenges, has finally been posted to my account.

Complaint: I had an AmEx Gift card for {$100.00}. I did not make any purchases using this gift card but when i tried to use it there was no balance in the card. I checked online on the AmEx site and it shows 4 transactions made in XXXX XXXX. I have never been to XXXX XXXX so seems like there were fraudulent purchases and I lost al the {$100.00} gift card balance. So far AmEx has been very unhelpful.

Complaint: I was charged an annual fee of {$75.00} by American express for my inactive XXXX XXXX card. I did not receive a notification about the fee and my account statements were being marked as spam by XXXX due to long term inactivity. I got a notice that I had not made a payment on my card and I logged in to find out about the fee. I have tried to get it resolved with XXXX but they insist on the fee, even though I have cancelled the card already with them. I will not have use of the card for the next 10 months even though I have paid the fee. For the next 10 months XXXX does not owe me exposure to the tune of {$24000.00} and has no liability to me charging off.

Complaint: I ( XXXX XXXX ) received a call from American express on XX/XX/XXXX on a overdue balance {$1300.00}. I verified that my 2 credit cards are paid and I have a zero balance on those. When I called back the customer service, they told me that there is a 3rd card linked to my account and asked me to contact theft prevention team. When I called Amex theft prevention/protection team, they said no attempt of ID theft visible on my account. Also, they clearly told me that they do n't see any 3rd card to my name. I had a frustrating day to make them ( different department of Amex ) to come to a common point. After multiple calls to different departments, they agreed that there is a 3rd card linked to my account. That too when I asked what is the name on that dispute card. They said it was XXXX XXXX. I remember that used to get some junk mails in my mailbox with that name and I assume she was staying in the address several years back ( I know previous person stayed here before me for few years ). Amex said there is a mistake on their side and its a rarest problem and never happened before. They said it will take a week or so to resolve and asked to call back to verify as they cant inform me about it. And moreover, when I asked for a tracking number, they said there is no tracking number for this. Every time I call them, I had to explain the whole story few days. that 's another pain I had. I found one professional helpful staff named XXXX from fraud prevention team found a kind of a solution to keep a note on my account with his name and asked me to use his name to tell to the customer care or debt collector to refer to read it. That saved few frustrated minutes of mine in later days. After few days, shockingly my cards are suspended for charging. When I called, its again the same case, sounds like no interaction between teams. And next humiliation started. Everyday, I get calls from Amex asking me to settle the amount which I do n't owe. I had to explain everytime to them what happened and they say they will take care on their side. But, its never ending story till today. couple of times, the caller went ahead and asking my permission ( by mentioning the ending number of the account ) to take money from my checking account I used to pay this card ( I did n't have any auto payment though ). I was in XXXX XXXX and fear of loosing my hard earned money. When I called today ( XX/XX/XXXX ), customer care person said, the disputed account was delinked on XXXX XXXX. and she do n't have answer when I asked why they are calling to collect the money what I do n't owe. Also, when I asked why my cards are still suspended, she said she cant do anything but I need to call some other department. I asked for a compensation for all the humiliation and metal trauma till date, she put on hold for few minutes and offered me {$25.00} courtesy. I told her that I am not going to agree to that and will complain to CFPB. While I am typing this, suspensions on my cards are removed ( again no intimation to me ). Please help to get me a financial compensation equal to all humiliation and metal trauma I went through. Thanks.

The promotion was to earn XXXX XXXX Honors Bonus Points after spending {$3000.00} in purchases on the Card within the first 3 months of Card Membership. Plus, earn a free weekend night award after the first anniversary of Card Membership. I met {$3000.00} spending requirement on XXXX XXXX. 2017. After the first statement was closed, I did not see the XXXX HH points in my account, so I contacted American Express customer service. They said it would take up to 4-6 weeks to get the points. So I waited 8 weeks, but still did not get the points. So I contacted them again twice in XXXX, and they told me they would expedite point deposit, and told me to wait until next statement closing which was XXXX XXXX. I still did not get XXXX HH points as of XXXX XXXX. XXXX. As a long time loyal American Express customer since XXXX, this is a disappointing and frustrating experience. Please review this case and deposit XXXX HH points in my account as advertised.

Complaint: I signed up for the American Express XXXX XXXX XXXX with a promotional offer of XXXX points after spending a minimum of {$5000.00} in the first three months. The application was approved on XX/XX/XXXX. I fulfilled the minimum spend within 2 months but was never given the promotional offer. I initiated an inquiry in XXXX or XXXX ( specific dates are unknown ) as to why I never received my points. According to AMEX I have previously opened a XXXX XXXX card before. This is not true. I 've previously held the XXXXXXXX XXXX card but it is not the same product/card. AMEX then said that a personal card was opened in XXXX but closed on the same day. This must have been a mistake as I 've only ever held a XXXX XXXX card for 1+ years. As a result I was auto denied my XXXX point bonus. A review would be opened and I was told to follow up in 30 days. On XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, I followed up AMEX and was told I will still be denied because I had a XXXX account. This should not be the case as I 've never owned a XXXX XXXX card. Even the first representative stated that a personal platinum was only opened and closed on the same day. I should not be denied my XXXX bonus because of such an error.
